as a long time San Antonio Mexican food patron, TEKA MOLINO goes down as authentic I grew up eating south side Taco Hut puffy tacos, bean cups, and guacamole cups. Taco Hut is long gone, but Teka Molino is even better!

I'm a Teka loyalist from my very first bite. Thanks to Frank and Ben for gifting us the best flavors! This is home of the best puffy tacos and bean and cheese cups on the planet. I've tried to make puffies at home but they do not compare to the original.

A visit to San Antonio wouldn't be complete without a stop here. Tonight I think because it was between lunch and dinner, the maggie was extremely frozen. I had to use a knife to soften it up enough to be able to double straw it. The beef puffy tacos as to die for, but watch the ones which want to fall apart from all the juices. Refried beans are homemade as is the rice.

After laying wreaths for our Veterans today we decided to go have a meal here and recommended by another friend. The service was great and very fast and fresh food! I will definitely go back. Will need to take my sister next time as they have puffy tacos! Sweet tea was very good as well as the chips and salsa. Food was fresh and hot which is a big plus.

It's 2.49 for a bean and cheese and the beans aren't good. The egg was over cooked and crumbly as well.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. I had a delicious and enjoyable visit. I got the shrimp plate with an additional chicken enchilada on the side.

Food is delicious and there is a good variety of food. Service is very efficient and staff is friendly. Be prepared to stand in line to order and then seat yourself.

This food made me happy. I grew up in SA and haven't lived here for almost 30 years. I still come back as often as I can for visits with friends and family. I was happy to see Teja Molino 2 opened near my folks home, so I ordered. The puffy taco was perfect especially once I put the spicy salsa verde on it. The cheese enchiladas were a childhood favorite so I went with old reliable. Both were delicious.

Always the best food at Teka. We have so many family meals here and run into friends every time. A San Antonio staple!

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back. We left hungry, disappointed and embarrassed by what we just went through.
