Nice little cafe on the corner of Austin Highway and I didn't get the name of the other street but it's on the corner. The inside is cute looks like it was made in the 80s. Service was OK could've been better. We didn't have to wait too long before the waitress take our order. She was great in the beginning but when we needed a refill she took a while to notice us. All in all it was ok not too bad. The food was good, nothing spectacular. My bean & cheese was the best taco. The tortillas were really good tho I definitely recommend these tortillas they are fully cooked, soft and fluffy.

I ordered potato and egg and this is what I was given. A lot better options in the area than this. Seems like this place has lost its touch.

We absolutely love this place! Their food is delicious and you can't beat the service and location. This trip we ordered the Daily Fajita with enchiladas and the Daily Puffy taco. Both were outstanding. All of their tacos have been fantastic as well. We are fans and highly recommend!!!

Thousand Oaks Café on Austin Hwy has never disappointed us! You definitely get the ambiance of an old-school diner inside the restaurant, and the friendly staff provides good service. I ordered the huevos rancheros plate with sausage, they are one of the few places that actually offer sausage patties so I was pleased with that. Everything was very tasty especially the ranchero sauce because it's actually spicy and seasoned very well. My husband got the chorizo and egg plate which I was surprisingly impressed with. I've noticed here in Texas that a lot of Mexican restaurants use a chorizo that has a gamey or vinegary taste and this one does not. The tortillas are fantastic and the coffee is excellent. I wish we still lived on the side of town because we would be here a lot more often!

The food and service were great. A party of 5 our lunch total was $83.17 We ordered several dishes. The crowd is a festive group. Servers were very courteous. We did have to ask for the tortillas for our meal.

This place is legit! It's a Mexican food restaurant in a diner type setting. Great breakfast items and plenty of lunch specials to choose from. The price point for breakfast plates is perfect. They have at least four different styles of chilaquiles plates to choose from. I had the Chilaquiles Rancheros for $6.99. It came out of the kitchen piping hot, topped with pico de gallo, ranchera sauce, and cheese. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the tortilla chips were still crispy - not soggy like you find at some places. For $6.99, it included refried beans and potatoes. The taters were good, but the beans could use just a little work - they are just a bit on the runny side. The ham omelet, smothered with cheese, includes 2 pancakes OR beans and potatoes for $7.99. The omelet and the pancakes were both light and fluffy.

Running errands today on Austin Highway and decided to try this place. The only good thing about this place was the service. $13 for a breakfast plate that was plain and dry. 6 pieces of beef fajita with some beans "no flavor" and some cold potatoes. Even the chilaquiles was decent at best. I can go to any Taqueria on Walzem road and pay half that price and get a bigger portion. Definitely never coming back.

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back. We left hungry, disappointed and embarrassed by what we just went through.
