I've been meaning to write a review on one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The food is absolutely delicious. The tacos are always bursting with flavor, especially the asada a la Mexicana. The huarache is on point!! Every bite tastes authentic, like something straight from a Mexican street market. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Bonus they sell fruit and agua frescas.

Blanket notice to rip off customers.

Good food but bad service and dishonest charging. I ordered the paradilla for one. I pointed at the item on the menu and it should have been $15.99. Food was delicious. However, it took half an hour for waitress to come by and give me a to go box. I am still okay at this point, but then I went to pay and they jacked the price up to $17.99. I opened the menu and pointed at my order and cashier told me prices changed and there is a notice on the door. That signed is just their way of making it legal to bait and switch their customers.

I will always come back to this place. The biggest, tastiest chamoy Micheladas with the perfect amount of spice and an amazing variety of beer. The sweetest ladies waiting on you, making sure you get everything you need. And the most inviting, homey atmosphere with tons of people just enjoying their lunch breaks. We love it here, and the pro tip is to use the walk up windows in the summer for refreshing fruit cups and aguas frescas.

Chips 5/5 Salsa 3/5. Not bad but something a little different Rice 5/5. Great taste, fresh and perfectly cooked Alambres meat 4/5. I'm sure there are other people out there that will give this a 5. It has bacon in it which I don't care for and wish the waiter had told me that when I asked what all was in it. Otherwise the grilled flavor is great and it's juicy, but the bacon is just weird!

This place was outstanding... We stopped in for lunch while on business in San Antonio. The restaurant is pretty large, but a bit dated. We were promptly greeted and seated. The servers were really friendly, took our orders quickly, and the food was out in less that 15 minutes. The food itself was amazing... Really like the chips and salsa, which were no doubt house made. I ordered the street tacos (carne asada) and they did not disappoint. This was some of the best Mexican food I have ever had... Will definitely be back when in San Antonio.

Great food good portions. We ordered beef soup (caldo de Res) enchilada plate, and chile relleno. Great Service. Very clean place. Service was really good.

The service was great !! Our server was on point with everything. Even gave my grandson a fruit cup for being his cute self!! The food was fresh and delicious. Rice was a big hit for my 23 mth old he wanted to eat all of it. The beans were very good. Better than mine. They have a great variety to choose from. I wanted street tacos but inside an air conditioned restaurant. They delivered. Fruit there is fresh and sweet. So are the aguas frescas. Yum!!

Been here before for fruit cups, Mangonadas, Fresas con crema, Mango on a stick, elite and this time we are in the restaurant. We were directed to a table and waited a short while to get order taken and food was fresh when served but not quick service. After our food was served, waitress only came by once and that was because she was at table behind us and we called her over. We had to get up and ask for drink refills and to go boxes and then, we never got a ticket, we had to walk up to cashier to get our total. We walked out and ordered Strawberries with crema, fruit cup and a Mango, fruit here is on point and love the aguas frescas and everything looks so pretty in the case! Frutería side is my favorite.

Do they even wash the apples before applying the candy? This candy apple still has the sticker under the coating and it's cracked.

Toke my mother and a friend of hers to eat at this place the other day, for starters they have a sample of the specials for the day as soon you enter, as you can see are several such as: Flautas de pollo, albóndigas, enchiladas, asado, etc My mother ordered fajitas and her friend ordered a Chile relleno which was in the special as well I ordered "el Popeye" which was in special too and is pretty much chicken with vegetables such as spinach hence the name, squash, bell peppers rice and charro beans with your choice of tortillas. Service was excellent the ladies had a great attitude and were very attentive with us. Price was pretty good not so expensive. I need to mention this is a restaurant and there's a snack section inside you can order all kinds of traditional Mexican snacks from corn in a cup, fresh fruit and paletas de hielo!! They have fresh waters and more! In the middle of the meal was a person an old man (bless his heart) entered and sang to everyone, one song I don't remember what but was a nice ambience the person left and the place was just fine not so full but enough people to enjoy, Ambiance was good!! I didn't had a chance to take a picture of our own plates we ate them fast enough lol, I totally loved the chips an salsa that are complimentary. It was a nice meal and we would get back

Mexican food shouldn't be expensive and this place proves it. Pretty good prices for the amount you get. Don't expect gourmet meals. Just plain Mexican dishes. They also have fruit cups, tamarindo covered apples and many other goodies. I had a torta and shared nopalitos (cactus) tacos. The torta was a good size. They weren't skimpy with their avocado. The tacos were huge too. The nopalitos has a very good grilled flavor. The service was not the best I have ever had, but it wasn't horrible either. They have their own parking lot with plenty of parking

Stopped in to grab a couple of tacos before heading to the Missions ballpark for a game. Drove by the place before and it just pulls you in for some food, frescas, and some de frutas. Service - I went to the register to order to go. The girl behind the counter was nice and took the order. It was quickly delivered as I drooled over a table next to wonderful looking plates of food and the other side where a man ordered 12+ vasos de frutas that looked delicious. Food - My son got the steak taco and I got the lengua and pastor. The tacos were full of stuff for a couple of bucks. Lengua had some good flavor and the pastor was matched perfectly with the provided onions, cilantro, and limes on the side. Tortillas were solid and held in the flavor. Atmosphere - It is a colorful place that is large enough for groups or perfect to sit in the corner on a date. There is an order window outside for the frescas, frutas, and shakes. Parking is a little tight, but manageable. Overall - Worth checking out this place. I didn't think the prices were that high as other reviews and seemed to be a ton of food on the plates I saw around at other tables. The menu is extensive and had some choices you don't see at other places. I will definitely come back earlier next time to sit down and enjoy another plate of their food and get some fresh desserts on a hot day!

I decided to stay in the city longer to check out this place. This restaurant is huge and the wait was 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. We used our waiting time to stroll through the Mercado across the way. Once the table was ready, my friend got a text. I always wanted to try menudo every Mexican restaurant I go to. But not until I saw the sign on the back cover. This restaurant is under the same owner as Pico de Gallo. Omg. I just had their menudo the day before. No thanks. I decided to order fajita chicken salad. The portion was really small. The food only filled a half of the fried salad bowl. I asked to put cheese on the side. It may had it look more but I don't eat cheese as much. I was glad that dressing was on the side. Which was too salty for me. So, if the food was the same as other chain, we could have eaten there which was closer to the hotel. But I noticed the difference was the servers. Our waitress was cuter and very polite. My friends kept teasing her. She kept good manner and responded back with a smile "uhhh no". Hahaha.

The hostess was a little drab but as I was walked in to be seated, you could feel the upbeat mood. Note that if you're dining solo, they will push hard to seat you at a dark diner type counter to stare at the kitchen area even if you have a reservation, so don't give in unless you're starving and that's your last resort. The colorful decor hits you and you're transported. I ordered the "Mexican Dinner" with chicken enchilada, pork tamal, beef taco with beans and rice. Also had a side order of fresh handmade tortillas. Paloma to wash it all down. Everything tasted great. My server was excellent. Patient and helpful with recommendations. The mariachi band was fun and they roamed the restaurant and bar to play, so chances are that if they aren't singing at your table then they're nearby.

There's such a wonderful selection, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. That really makes a difference for a family outing! And oh my goodness, the appetizers are simply fantastic. We couldn't get enough! I also have to give a special shout-out to the Carrajillo I ordered. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing.
