We needed a caffeine fix to deal with the crazy weather we are having latterly! So, we decided to stop at Eloura for coffee. We had the baklava and the rose pistachio latte, as well as the matcha and matcha pistachio cookie. The cozy space had a great view of Capitol, staff was super friendly and welcoming. I'll write another post about Eloura Restaurant, once we try their fine dining Mediterranean food.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in Madison. My dining companion and I were impressed by the 2 apps and main dish we ordered: Spanakopita cigars, Sarma, and the Falafel and Date Jam Burger Plenty of food - all delicious - excellent service and beautiful setting, inside and out. Definitely recommend!

Sadly, Eloura was below average on nearly all fronts. The service was extremely slow and it took a very long time to get our drinks after we spotted them sitting ready at the bar. Our appetizer plates weren't cleared until our main dishes arrived. The atmosphere of the restaurant was ok, but quite dark in our corner. The food was also below average, especially for the price point. The portions were small and the meat was not very flavorful. We did enjoy the spanakopita cigars and Athens loaded fries, but that was simply not enough to make this dinner worth our time or money. I would save yourself some money and skip this one. There are plenty of other great spots nearby.

We loved the dirty Thai Tea! Great space with great views of the Capitol. Looking forward to coming back!

A little surprised that the menu didn't have falafel as a major player-with it only being available in the large and expensive ($32) mezze platter.

The staff was friendly as soon as I walked in and I placed my order at the bar. When I asked if they had coke or Pepsi the employee showed me the can of Faygo. Being from Detroit I immediately asked if the owner was from Detroit. The employee didn't know and also didn't know that Faygo is a Detroit staple. My food was ready in about 10 minutes and smelled delicious. The salmon filet dinner is served with rice, hummus and your choice of salad or soup. Everything was cooked well and seasoned. I would come back when in the area.

It has an extensive menu selection of Mediterranean food and friendly staff. I would have to say that the dips are the star of the show. Getting a combination of a couple or doing one of their platters that gets you a variety is key. The pita bread comes out hot and you can easily share with friends and debate on the best one. The grilled platter we got was also good. The meat wasn't as juicy as I would have liked it, but it hit the Mediterranean flavors well. The rice was more sweet and dry than I typically like my rice, but went well with the meal. The day after it was not good at all though, so that got some point deductions for me. Overall, if you're craving Mediterranean at a chill spot, it's not bad, but it's not the best. I would say 3.5 overall, but 4 for the dips.

We had reservations at 11:45 AM but since the servers were in the kitchen was not seated until closer to 10 minutes later. After I was seated, I was promptly brought water. I then ordered an appetizer of hummus. The amount of pita served with the hummus was very little. It was a nice sized portion of hummus there was definitely leftover hummus as you were only given a few pieces of small pita. Our server was very kind and very observant when I asked about dishes that were dairy free. She was very helpful on that. The ambience was very quiet, even though there was a a few tables nearby. Really nice ceilings. The food was good. It would be nice if there were more options on the menu as well as dairy free desserts.

My boyfriend and I have had the kabob platter for 2 three times now - twice in person and once to go. It's $80, but it is a *ton* of food. There's lentil soup, salad, pita bread and sauces, rice, and 3 kabobs (chicken, steak, lamb, and roasted veggies). Plus, baklava for dessert! It has been absolutely delicious every single time. The staff is so friendly, and we've never needed to wait to sit. The food comes out pretty quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back!
