This cam as a recommendation while in town. It is attached to the famous Leopold Bookstore and coffee/bar. Small parking lot out in front. Traditional old school Italian vibes inside. Wasn't too busy when we arrived at 6pm or so on a Sunday but business quickly picked up. We ordered the romaine wedge, chicken vesuvio and gnocci. Service was super friendly, helpful and attentive. At the end of the meal we had the tiramisu. All items were delicious. However the tiramisu did not seem "soaked" enough and was rather dry. We might not order that again. They ran out of the fennel salad but the table next to us had it and said it was delicious so we will def try that next time. The wedge and entrees were ample portions and delicious. We will def come back.

Fabiola's was so disappointing!!! All of the food was mediocre at best. The drinks were just ok. The service was average. And the ambiance is nice, but very loud and hard to hear the person across from you. We won't be going back. Cute spot that missed the mark.

Had dinner at Fabiola's the other night. I really dig the vibe in there. Sat at the bar and the bartender, Maya, was a pro. Started with the orange and fennel salad w watermelon radish and apricot dressing. Outstanding. Next, had the linguine vongole. Their Manila clams were next level. Amazing texture, sweetness, and a ton of them in the dish. If you haven't gone, go check it out. This is an amazing addition to the Italian dining scene in Madison.

A cute diner connected to a fun bookstore/bar! I found the vibes to be cute, but the food to be average. They have prompt service and even bring in a piano player for dinner vibes. I'm glad I checked it off my list and will def be back for leopolds and the tiramisu.

Oh my goodness...where do I begin?! This place is AMAZING! Except for the parking situation, that is. But the incredible service makes up for it, as well as the delicious food! My friend and I needed a night out, so we decided on Fabiola's Spaghetti House for dinner. To start, I ordered a Phony Negroni (pregnancy problems) and my friend ordered what I REALLY wanted - the Pistachio Cream Ale. For a NA drink, however, the Phony Negroni did hit the spot. For our entrees, I opted for the chicken parmesan, and my friend got the spicy penne alla vodka. I tried a bite of hers, and it was very tasty, and had a kick for sure! The chicken parm was incredible, and I could seriously eat nothing else for the rest of my life and be beyond content. Absolutely delicious! It was honestly perfect in every way. It was crispy fried, cheesy, with just the right amount of marinara sauce. The garlic flavors were present in every bite. I am a big fan of broccolini, so I was thrilled to see that was the seasonal vegetable. I definitely plan to return with my husband for date night.

yummy food (a bit pricey) with a nice ambiance. staff were a bit pushy in having us leave (they didn't close for over 1.5 hours and the restaurant was not busy), but were otherwise nice. food isn't terribly salty. solid choice for a dinner date :-)

Awesome expresso and pastries. Wide array of delicious sandwiches. Love the retro vibe of the dining room. Try the Sfogliatelle Italian pastry! This crisp, yet tender pastry is incredibly decedent and different. It is pronounced soy-ya-dell.

I had a lovely experience at Fabiola's on a Thursday night. My drinks and food were delicious. Highlights of the menu for me were the ricotta gorgonzola gnocchi and the sunday salad. The bread basket was a nice addition, and I liked my sister's alfredo as well. Potatoes were good but needed a touch of salt. Highly recommend any of their spritzes!! Our server was so kind and knowledgeable too. Will definitely return.

A non alcoholic lavender infused spritzer. Pure art watching him make it.

We've eaten here a few times. Wow!! I crave their food. The menu is well thought out and lots of choices that will keep us coming back. The staff is always one step ahead knowing what you may need and very personable. If you can sit at the bar. The seats are super comfy and to watch the bar tenders work their magic is a work of art. Don't see it on the menu?? Ask... they can accommodate your craving.

The "more" also includes fresh-made pasta, hand cut meats and cheeses, gelato and a few other absolutely delish items! Back to that sandwich...we were not hungry, but could not pass up a good sandwich, especially one freshly made on locally sourced and baked bread! The bread was the absolutely star of each bite, I mean...sheesh! The sandwich in full was great, and definitely worth the stop in on its own. The store itself is small, but mighty, and well laid out, stocked with all the goods, flows well, clean and in great condition. Service was stellar as well. We were greeted upon entry, checked on while browsing and chatted up while being rang out. Between the two of us, we spent about $60 for this meal, which I suppose now adays is on par with what you can get away with. We also left with half a sandwich because honestly, these guys are huge! -Hot Beef Sando with Cheese (extra): this was a massive sandwich, packed with flavor. The ah jus was on the side and needed for dunking. It hit the spot, was a messy affair, but was very good. The meat wasn't melt in your mouth, it was actually quite dry, but the mix of everything together and the dip made it good overall. - Chili Cup: well spiced, super small cup and charging a dollar for each addition of onion, cheese, and sour cream is murder. Pass on the fixings, the soup doesn't need it, but it's not something i'd get again as it wasn't knock out of the park good. -Homemade Orange Soda: this was great. I love the nostalgia of using Tang and it was more earthy because they put some spices in it. Overall, would get again. -Coleslaw was asian inspired and made well, especially with the mint on top. Be warned though, its the same slaw on the pulled chicken...which speaking of: -Pulled chicken sandwich: It's their meat americanized fusion version of a banh mi. I know they have a vegan one on their menu, but this one felt less like a sandwich. The spices weren't quite asian tho and was interesting with the slaw. We stopped off on a Sunday morning before leaving Madison to head to the Dells. We were able to snag a parking spot on the street pretty much right out front of the place but I did notice that there seem to be a parking lot next-door. we were intimidated by the queue that had formed and was literally no exaggeration, "out the door". I wouldn't say that it moved quickly per se, but quick enough. The time spent on the queue is good for catching up on emails, some self reflection, or perusing the menus that they have stacked on the counter. We finally made it to the register. I ordered a ginger pistachio Matcha (iced of course, in this heat) and GF a banana something latte. The morning bun was fantastic. It almost reminds me of a cruffin. Maybe lighter? It wasn't overwhelming, it was flaky and delicate with a muffin-esque but lighter booty. A delightful breakfast snack. The matcha was out of this world. Such a unique and delicious flavor. It lasted two seconds. GF enjoyed her latte. It wasn't as sweet as I would have liked but for her, someone who doesn't like sweet coffee beverages, it was perfect.
