Elstons is awesome. They are very friendly and have everything you need. Definitely recommend going there.

The nicest people around. I have been coming to them for as long as I can remember. Everyone is very helpful and kind. If you take your dog in they greet your pet just as nice as they greet you and give them a treat. They have stayed open late for me to be able to pick up hay. The only place I can find that carries 50lb bags of non-medicated chick start. These people are always happy to answer my questions (no matter how off-the-wall). They are a true feed store, not a pet store. Great service, great products. read more

I've been going to Elston's for a few years and I love the store. I was sickened to see the Tractor Supply Company open across the street. I can't believe that a community of only 20,000 people could support a friggin' Walmart for the farm. But apparently, the city planners thought it was a good idea. I can tell you that Elston's has always provided me with the best customer service, fair and competitive pricing and I'm proud to support a family owned business that has been doing good for the community for 50+ years. read more

Complete jerks! So I went in today and tried to exchange sheers that didn't work on what I was trying to use them for. I guess the hair was to course. I guess the "Professional" sheers that I bought don't cut "Hair", Hmmm. Well the owner came in and started going off saying, "I will not return those, and if I would I'm not giving you full price." I said "WHAT, I'm not trying to argue I just came in to see if I can exchange them." He proceeded to say, "I HATE customers like you, trying to rip me off." A simple "YES" or "NO" question turned into this. I walked out saying "no one I know will ever shop here again." They are just RUDE people and for as how many shops there are in Ramona I wouldn't go here! read more

When I moved up to Ramona 3 years ago I wanted to use a family owned business for all my tack and feed from the moment I went here I loved it! The owner is so sweet and was always very helpful, but from the get go Jessica was always so nice and knowledgeable about feed. She remembered all my family's names and my little two year old asks for her! He gets so excited to go see Jessica. I would never use another company. read more

The owners of Elston's seem to have problems interacting politely and appropriately with customers and employees. Such a shame since finding pet and livestock supplies isn't too challenging in Ramona and I am inclined to take my business elsewhere. read more

Lovely place and people! So much better than big chains.

Elstons refused to return a pair of clippers that I had purchased (even though the box said 30 day satisfaction guaranteed) They were in the box and I had advised that I did use them but they didn't work on the hair, it would just get stuck. The man there, which I assume is the owner said that they functioned (by turning on) and he couldn't do anything with them. The man stated that I should of read better before buying something because they aren't meant to clip hair. I purchased a set of WAHL Show PRO Plus clippers, if they aren't for clipping hair, what are they good for?? He said he would take them back but he wouldn't give me full price because they were opened. Since the man was so rude and condescending I said that is okay, I will just shop some where else. While I was walking away, the man started yelling and throwing his arms in the air saying he didn't want customers like me that try and rip him off. He stated he has been in business for 50 years and doesn't need business. There are other feed stores in town. I definately would never go back into that store again. Every time I have, there has been terrible service. read more
