While I find that I rarely shop or dine in downtown Hinsdale, my family are regulars to the shops and restaurants in this mall on York and Ogden. Many of the establishments are on our list of "faves" and this nail shop is no different. When I need to treat myself to a mani/pedi I ALWAYS make an appointment at Bien Assorti. They always feature on-trend colors and products and have an assortment of nail services. My favorite feature is the short hand and neck massage you get with the manicure and foot massage with the pedicure. Clean, efficient, sterile. Walk-ins are available but I personally would recommend making an appointment first. This place gets filled up quickly since there aren't many chairs. Staff are all pretty quiet but very nice. (I like quiet). They give nice shoulder massages also. A great location for me as its close. I still love my regular place out in Willowbrook (Magic Nail two), but if I don't have the extra time, I'll come here. They do shellac and gel well here. read more

This was my best pedi at a nail spa. Everyone was polite and went above and beyond to ensure it was a relaxing and comfortable experience. They give heating pads for your neck/ shoulder which was a nice perk. When my massage chair timed out, the lady working on my nails immediately got up to restart the time for me. Plus they offer neck and back massages. Biggest plus for me is when you walk in you're not hit with that strong fume smell that traditional nail spas typically possess. Prices for pedi and neck and back massage are some of the lower prices I've seen. Definitely recommend trying them! read more

I absolutely LOVE Bien Assorti in Hinsdale! They are meticulous! It doesn't matter who does my nails there, they come out better than any other place I have been to since I started having my nails done over 20 years ago. The staff is all friendly. They use high end products and have an extensive selection of polish (colors and brands, including no chip). They recently updated their look. It is beautiful inside. They use plastic covers in the pedicure bowls for sanitation. In the winter they do paraffin dips for you hands at no charge. They give you a shoulder massage for a few minutes as well as a hand/arm massage. They have warm neck pillows if you like. Near the December holidays, they give out a small gift. Once I mentioned that it was my birthday and was given a gift as well. I'm not sure if that is typical, I have been going there weekly for quite awhile. Their prices are mid-range, but you get a high end experience. They do take walk-ins if they are available, but I would recommend making an appointment. You won't be sorry! read more

I've been coming here for years. It's a gem among nail salons. Kyle uses only the highest quality products and really cares about keeping nails healthy. He tries to find the best products on the market and avoids harsh chemicals and toxins. He does not up charge for these higher end products. So as a disclaimer, I am pretty picky with my nails. But the prices here are high for a nail salon, and therefore I expect things to be a step above. I came here as a walk in a couple of months ago, and I don't know, the atmosphere was a little uncomfortable, I'm not really sure why exactly. The nail technician did an okay job, but my cuticles could have been cleaned up more (I only noticed after she started painting my nails). The other thing is when I asked for an extra base coat between the two colors (it makes it last a little longer), the nail technician and the host (owner?), both told me they couldn't do it because it would take too long too dry. I've never had anyone say no to that request. I guess if it was super busy I would understand but there was only one other customer in there, so I'm not sure what the rush was anyway. Anyway needless to say I'm still on the lookout for a new salon in this area. read more

I absolutely love this place. Very clean and attractive environment. They take their time here and pay attention to detail. I have gotten pedicures, regular manicures and no chip manicures here and have been impressed with each service. Especially the pedicures! They gently remove callus and dead skin and make your feet look and feel smooth. They give you a heating pad for your shoulders while you get your service and they go above and beyond and give you a shoulder rub while your nails dry, an extra step that makes a big difference. Staff are very friendly yet not too chatty. The technicians are very meticulous and take the time to do your nails. They don't overbook so you're never rushed unlike some bigger places that rush you out.
