    NEW YORK STYLE

I was so excited to try this place because it's all over TikTok. When I found out they had opened a location in Boston and I was going on a trip there, I literally put this on my itinerary because it was that important to me to make sure I stopped by. Honestly, though, it was a huge letdown. I don't know what it was, but nothing really stood out. It was quite literally just okay--so incredibly mid. I got the New York cheesecake and added fresh strawberries, and while it wasn't bad, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. Maybe I need to give it another chance and try a different flavor, but I had such high expectations going in, and unfortunately, it just didn't wow me.

I saw this place on TikTok and had to have it. I flew from Wisconsin to Boston to try this place. I had a very hard time deciding which sundae to get but went with the buttercream dream and added a peanut butter tunnel. My boyfriend ordered the Vader. Both were sooooooo good but mine blew me out of the park. I love ice cream and especially ice cream with toppings. I was in heaven eating this. We both ordered the smallest size and it was still huge. At this location, you order on a kiosk and they call your name once your order is ready. There are a couple of benches and tables but everything is located outside. Overall, this place was worth the flight. I'm so sad there isn't one closer.

If you're like me, your mouth was absolutely watering seeing photos of Scoop and Scootery's creations online. I had to finally see for myself! We got the A La Mode and the Off Pudding. The portions are absolutely massive so even though its expensive, you can easily make it last 3 days if you order the "Hungry" size. This location has a table outside with a kiosk so you place your order and wait outside for your ice cream so you either eat it outside, in your car, or take it home. The ice cream itself is delicious, but there's nothing super extraordinary about it. The toppings are what make it exciting so make sure you choose wisely! I recommend dumping it out into a bowl so you can mix it, ensuring toppings in every bite.

Okay... so my sisters and I Lyfted from a local restaurant with the full intention to sit, relax, and enjoy dessert. Joke was on us There is only outdoor seating and it was FREEZING. Lesson learned. That said, the experience was still solid. The ordering process was completely no contact through their digital platform and it was super easy to use. From order to pickup, everything moved quickly and smoothly. Now let's talk ice cream because that is what really matters. I ordered the peanut butter Oreo with peanut butter cookies and whew... the mash up was PERFECT. The portions are phenomenal. The mini which is what I got was enough for two people. Creamy, rich, and balanced without being too sweet. Every bite delivered. Even though the weather played us this time, I am absolutely going back when it warms up and bringing my family with me. The concept is great, the process is efficient, and the ice cream definitely hits.

Huge servings and lots of amazing options to choose from. The ambiance is always nice and a perfect spot for the summer.

This was a fun place to get a treat! You order at a kiosk and wait for your ice cream to be ready. It was very sweet, but good.

I LOVE THE SCOOP N SCOOTERY! If you're looking for a place that does late night, YUMMY, ice cream, please give any of the 3 Scoop N Scootery locations a try. I have been obsessed with their ice cream ever since I visited the Arlington store for the first time last year. They have a variety of options to choose from AND you can also create your own. I typically create my own and do a strawberry shortcake with red velvet core, and if I'm feeling spicy, I'll add some toppings but I usually don't, mostly because I'm always already super full from dinner LOL. The Mini size is my absolute favorite size to order. It's honestly huge and is more than enough for me. The ordering process is super easy; head online to their website & choose location pickup, pick the ice cream you want & size, pay, & the order is done within minutes! Every time I've ordered ahead, even just a few minutes before arriving, my order is always waiting in the fridge for me! One thing that I did notice that was different when ordering from Cambridge location was that they didn't have the mini combo option available, but the option popped up for the Arlington store. No biggie! Anyways, the ice cream is amazing and I would go as far as to say, if you're going to hit up any ice cream spot in the Boston area, PLEASE try Scoop N Scootery!!

    HELLA NUTELLA Sundae

I've become obsessed with working my way through the sundae menu at Scoop N Scootery this year. Boston and Cambridge have so many phenomenal ice cream options but when I want a pure, go-all-out ice cream experience (as opposed to the more nuanced, artistic flavors offered by a Toscaninis, for example), this has become my go-to. The creative combos of ice creams, toppings, home made whipped creams, cake, cookies, brownies, and more into their sundaes always leaves me in the best kind of sugar coma. They have several locations but I often go to the Cambridge site, which is just a walk-up window, for convenience. They offer pick up and delivery options and are generally very quick with orders. Oh, and the portions are huge - even the "mini" size is often good for 2-3 servings and I will often freeze my leftovers to eat later on!

    VANILLA FROSTED CUPCAKE

WOW! I've been wanting to try this place after seeing it online a buncha times. We ordered the pumpkin donut sundae (seasonal) and vanilla cupcake sundae. The pumpkin one was amazing, not overly sweet with the fun addition of pumpkin pie and sugar cookies. The vanilla was a good combination too, and although both had the potential to be sickeningly sweet, they surprisingly weren't too much! We got it delivered and they came pretty fast. We also had more than enough to just put in the fridge for later, so the price is worth it! I've gone in person and it's a straightforward spot- with seating outside so you can enjoy your treat! The workers are always very fast and helpful. They're located near the Lechmere mbta stop, making it convenient!

    FAT RABBIT
    Kayla B.

HUGE portions that justify the price because you can split it (and probably should). Service is quick and cute seating outside. Man is it SWEEET though and without the creative toppings it is just plain ice cream but i think that is the point like it is meant to be super creative. The fat rabbit was great but the first bite really is alllll icing

    Mini sized sundaes
    Taylor S.

Have seen this place filled with a line out the door before and it piqued my curiosity. Stopped on in during the weekend and there were a couple customers eating their sundaes. It's very casual with a couple standing tables and small amount of seating for folks. Based upon the menu this place is known for their sundaes, either selecting from the wide selection they offer or make your own. The sizing starts at "mini," which is almost like eating a pint. The general flavors are pretty basic, with the intent that you're going to add toppings. We ordered 2 sundaes coming to about $10 each. The ice cream itself was nothing special, and my chocolate whipped cream was a bit sweet. My friend's whipped cream was less sweet which I prefer. Overall it is a fun concept, but I don't think it's not quite my cup of tea as I like bolder flavors and more variety for the ice cream. It's nice they have lids on the ready as the sundaes are pretty substantial even with the smallest size.

The icecreams are amazing the portion size for their smallest size was more than enough for 3 people. The service was quick.

Located on Dunster Street, the shop is designed for efficiency, with a straightforward layout that keeps the line moving even during busy hours. There are a few counter seats inside, but it's primarily a grab-and-go destination where most people leave carrying one of the bakery's signature string-tied pastry boxes. The cannolis are the main reason to visit, and they certainly live up to their reputation in terms of size. The classic chocolate chip cannoli is generously filled from end to end with a rich, sweet ricotta cream, while the crisp shell provides just the right amount of crunch. If you're looking for something a little different, the Florentine cannoli is an excellent choice. Its honey-nut shell adds an extra layer of texture and a subtle caramelized flavor that pairs beautifully with the creamy filling. Beyond the cannolis, the bakery offers an impressive selection of Italian pastries, cookies, cakes, and other desserts. The lobster tails are another popular option, with flaky layers surrounding a rich cream filling, and the display cases are filled with enough variety to make it difficult to choose just one item. Prices are a bit higher than your average neighborhood bakery, but the portions are generous enough that many pastries can easily be shared. Service is quick and efficient, with staff focused on keeping the line moving throughout the day. Since seating is limited, it's worth taking your pastries to nearby Harvard Yard or the Charles River, where you can enjoy them at a more relaxed pace. Mike's Pastry may be best known for its North End flagship, but the Cambridge location delivers the same oversized cannolis and classic Italian desserts in a much more convenient setting. Whether you're craving the original chocolate chip cannoli or one of their many other pastries, it's an easy stop whenever you're spending time around Harvard Square.
