Go shop at Pan-Asia if you haven't! There are so many aisles of multicultural ingredients to…read morediscover! They focus on carrying Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Malaysian, Burmese, Lao, Singaporean, Hmong, and Cambodian products. This is one of the cleanest and well-organized grocery stores in the area. You'll see staff members almost always stocking shelves. They're friendly and always willing to help you find products. There's definitely a wide variety of shoppers here who are all friendly every time I've been in. At the front is a Korean Beauty section called The Face Shop with a big selection of mainly Korean beauty products! They also have a delicious Boba Tea counter for you to have a drink while shopping or grab on your way out. There's hot food as well to order which you can take to-go or sit at one of their tables to enjoy. Their departments include Meat, Live and Fresh Seafood counter, Grocery, Dairy, Frozen aisles, Wine, Beer, & Liquor, and a Deli and Bakery. The seafood counter is at the very back of the store next to the butcher in the back left corner. Their butcher features Halal meat which is a great option for Manchester! I like to go to the fresh produce section for vegetables and herbs and find dry ingredients in the aisles to make Thai food. They have a big selection of kimchi here too! Recently, we've been getting our meat here for our general cooking and it's always really great quality - especially the Halal chicken breast! This is a great place to find a variety of sake and soju as well as Asian lager beers like Tsingtao, Sapporo, and Chang. Sometimes there are long lines but the cashiers here are SO fast at ringing up the products that you will never have to wait long. They also will open another checkout lane if it gets too backed up.

This Asian Supermarket is huge. It looks well kept. You can find practically everything that you…read morewant or need here. They have a vast selection of wonderful things. They have some great value too. They have stores within the market. You can buy sushi and other foods. There are sections where you can find Indian, Pakistan, Middle Eastern, and Halal meats. They have fresh fish and produce. Customer service was good. I did ask for some help. The guy helped me but didn't speak much English. Therefore, he didn't understand everything that I was asking. There was are that had some games. The parking lot plenty of parking.

Glad to find this spot while staying at the nearby Moonrise Hotel. Sometimes when traveling solo, I…read morelike to load up on water so I don't have to drink out of hotel sinks during my stay. I was happy to find some fantastic canned cold brews as well, so I was covered with my "coffee before the real coffee" the next morning. I might have a problem. The vibe in here is good when you walk in, a little weird towards the back. I'm not sure if part of the back was open or storage, it got darker and more isolated. There were tons of other snacks and a lot of Asian specialty items as well. Nice to have a store anchored in a busier area and near the university. I will definitely pop in here again if staying in the Loop.

I reviewed United Provisions 10 years ago? And I gave it only 4 stars? Must be remedied!…read moreI now eat more international foods, though I'm still vegetarian and that limits me. United Provisions has turned into decent place to stop for a quick snack. When I stopped by last week, I bought 2 tornado relief fundraising mystery snack boxes. What a nice idea and so nicely presented. My cat enjoyed sitting on the wrapping paper. I've only unboxed one (the other is a gift). I don't want to spoil the mystery here, but I will add that I was a little disappointed that there were no chips or crackers in the box. However, the box value seemed quite good.

Definitely come here if you are in the market for Chinese and Taiwanese products. They had a few Korean and Vietnamese items but not what I was looking for, so I stocked up on Chinese essentials instead. Kimchi has only one brand and I couldn't find any Korean instant coffee either, so was a little disappointed by that. Would've been really nice if they carried banh cuon.

This maybe is the lowest tier Asian grocery store that we've come across, but I think it is also…read morethe smallest. The produce section is tiny, with not many options or variety! Their fish section was pretty decent, but they had bins of fish thawing out it looked like and didn't seem very sanitary. I was looking for a certain frozen vegetable (malunggay) which they did not have, but the aisle was flooded with water. It felt icky walking across because how long was it there? They organize their sections by condiments, teas, spices, snacks... and not by country like other places which I kind of liked. The parking lot is small, and there is only one way in and out! I don't think I'd visit this place again considering the other Asian grocery store has the things I've been looking for!
