I've been here twice, 2 years apart. Both times I received a Brazilian wax. The first time was with the "painless" wax (heads up, still painful), the second with traditional hard wax. Both times, I was severely swollen and very uncomfortable for 6/7 hours afterwards. Not only because of the quality of the wax, but the method with which she pulls. I went here 2 days ago for a Brazilian wax because my usual shop "Unique Threading & waxing" is closed on Sunday's. So I stopped Embrace because they were the only wax salon open the day I needed service. I hate to say it but it was not a good experience. I almost left 2 stars. I am only giving 3 stars because the customer Service was good. There was only 1 woman working when I came in. I hate to leave a bad she was so sweet, but I just felt that she needs a little more training before waxing people. This was honestly the worst Brazilian I had. It took about 45-50 minutes to complete. I also have multiple burns all over the top of my vagina, on my clit and inside the lips from the wax. Again the lady was soooo nice, but she kept getting the wax stuck in my public hairs. Several times she went to pull the strip and it did not rip off. It just clung to my hair, which would have been extremely painful for most people. Lucky for me I've been waxing consecutively for 6 years so I didn't have that much hair and I could take the pulling. I also didn't like that she keep laying the USED wax strips on the bed next to my feet and they kept getting stuck to the bottom of my foot! I felt that was pretty unprofessional. Also because she was talking so long, she had to stop in the middle of my service to go tint 2 other peoples eyebrows. And I ended up being left on the table, cooch out, & covered in wax until she finished with them and returned to me. Not to mention I have so much hair left behind on the top of my Vag and on my inner thighs. She gave me a mirror and asked me to check everything out. I asked her to remove a little more hair, but I just left the rest because she missed so much and I honestly just wanted to leave after having been on the wax bed for nearly an hour. I had a 5:15pm appt & by the time I left I was almost 6:30pm. All the other guests were there for brow services so perhaps they do great brows, but I would recommend get a Brazilian here until they get more training. read more

Listen, a Brazilian is literally never going to be a pleasant 5-star experience. But it can be quick and cheap. Embrace is by no means a luxurious spa, but she certainly gets the job done! I first tried Embrace because they ran a good deal on Groupon. She has deals on all different wax bundles, but a Brazilian alone costs about $30. I've never seen anyone else in the salon, but there are hair stylist chairs to rent. The shop has a weird smell, but it's actually very clean. There are almost always appointment available, and I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes! read more

Do NOT go here. The two women there waxing have no idea what they're doing and after my experience I doubt they're licensed. Both my friend and I decided to try it out and get Brazilians and I got my under arms. First off it's half a waxing area/ barbershop. Once I got into the waxing area I should of turned around and walked out but my friend got hers before me and it was quick so I thought it was all good. I really wish she would've warned me ... this lady took the HOT wax straight out the pot and applied it directly to my skin. I told her she was burning me so she blew on it the next time and applied the wax.. then she went over the same areas way too many times over and over again.. my friend met me outside and we both were like wtf just happen.. on top of that when I get home to check they're still hairs left like whole areas of hair.. what a disaster. Im sorry but please be careful. I came to this salon after finding them on ClassPass. The actual salon is not amazing but not terrible either, my issue really came with the waxer. She seemed rather inexperienced she kept repeating the same areas with no break in between and hair still remained when she was done. I'm not a novice to waxing by any means and this was quite painful. The absolute worst part is that days later I realized how irritated my skin was with the wax she had ripped off my skin to the point that to this day it is still healing from scarring. She pays attention to detail, pampers her clients, and does an excellent job! I got a full body wax and Brazilian. The wax I believe was the wrong wax for body wax because everywhere that was wax still has hair. I was told it was because my hair was to strong. I was bleeding a lot and was told that I need sugar wax but no effort was made to wax me with that wax. I am very disappointed and when I try to see if I could come back to try to remove the rest of the hair the manager wouldn't let me talk. I will never go back to this place again. During the session, I was told that my hair was too short and I needed a special kind of wax $20-$25 extra for a smoother wax ?! I Kindly declined. Just ok experience..be prepared for the uncomfortable "birthing position for Brazilian wax. Plus some hair was still left behind, unfortunately.The room is very tiny and it's a bit weird that it's setup in the middle of a salon so you can here conversations and it's a bit awkward knowing that someone can open the door and BAM, someone can see all your goods on display. I came here after purchasing a Groupon for an amazing price and I had a great experience so I will be coming back. Noreen was very friendly and did a great job on my Brazilian. I have been to some extremely nice salons and I think it's unnecessary to pay double the price for the same thing. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been waxed dozens of times. It was my anniversary, and I needed to get waxed, however, after trying this salon, I don't know if I will be able to again. My esthetician continued to give me a Brazilian wax with the same waxing strip for the entire process. I began crying during the appointment due to extreme pain when I realized something was wrong. I was heavily bleeding. The esthetician began to say "Your skin is just really sensitive. Have you ever waxed before? Don't cry you're making me feel bad." She continued to cover me in baby powder, blaming me for being too sensitive. When I looked down, I was covered in blood and when I looked at her hands, she was holding a wax strip with my skin on it. She had ripped off 2inches of my skin. After, I began bawling my eyes out, since my anniversary was ruined and I knew that it would scar me. The manager told me to "stop crying and calm down" and "accidents happen". While I was refunded for this appointment and guaranteed my next two appointments free, I will NOT be returning. The esthetician who waxed me was underqualified and unprofessional, and I truly did not feel safe in the salon. If you're going to offer services, you should be able to actually provide them without harming the customer. read more

I got a groupon to get a brazilian wax here. Big mistake. I should have went to my normal salon but I wanted to take advantage of this cheaper option. There is a weird smell upon entering, and although the staff are nice, they act a little incompetent and try to up sell you every chance you get. My biggest complaints, however, are due to the fact that 1) my privacy was compromised and 2) the wax was EXTREMELY too hot. My waxer never gave me her name. I requested the waxer step out while I undressed. I am not new to getting a brazilian wax. There was no covering left for my to cover my lower half while waiting for her to return. When she does return, she widely opens the door and I was see there is an older man sitting in a chair in clear eye view of my lowerly-naked self. This deeply pissed me off but I said nothing. Not to mention, you can hear everything the waxer and customer are talking about because of the thin walls and ceiling of the wax room I believe is not attached to the ceiling of the entire salon. Next, to the worse part. As I've said, I've gotten waxes in the past with NO ISSUE. The pain isn't normally unbearable. This time.... it HURT SO BAD and she was doing the sections ENTIRELY TOO BIG. My vagina was in a lot of pain, and I did not realize until I got home hours later that the area from my vagina lips on backwards is very tender, red, and peeling. I was severely burnt in that area from the wax being too hot. I had to ice myself and I will probably need to continue to do so too relieve the pain and burn marks. Never go here. Try Art of Wax, my preferred salon - much better salon, relatively cheap, and they do your happy trail for free. read more

This place is nothing like the one on Peachtree road. Ash the girl that did my eyebrows... went thin on my eyebrows after we agreed on a clean up. Then I request a brailizan wax..she started and said she could only do a bikini wax because the hair wouldn't come out(I was disappointed about that because I want all the hair gone) but sad to say she didn't even do a good job at the bikini wax.. and I still had to pay for it?
