    Fried Chicken

If you come to Emerils get the fried chicken! Fried perfectly and a huge portion served with 3 biscuits. The hamburger is juicy and everything on the burger makes it great. The cocktails and charcuterie were average and not worth the price. The service was great, and they were highly attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Try to sit inside if you can as the porch gets extremely sunny when the sunsets![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a beautiful place! Elegant yet casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the open kitchen concept seeing it in "action"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] second time coming but it's been a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Got an early reservation for the high top bar area which was fine, we are able to watch our college baseball game while enjoying a fabulous meal![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started with the cornbread appetizer, omg it was amazing a must have to start! And we both ordered the Redfish with a gravy of sorts (I can't remember), but it was delicious as well! Definitely a place to try if your in the area

Tiramisu cake was good. Nice portion size you could share. Staff were great. AMC is right next door so perfect for dinner and a movie. We made reservations but had to wait a few minutes. Not much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we got to the table, the chairs were and table were wet (it was folded in half but the under side was still wet to the touch).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The floor was filthy so we had to ask staff to assist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I thought they would get a broom but they grabbed a towel. Hey whatever does the job.

I had no idea who this guy was until I heard about this place and im glad I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Emeril's is incredible. From the atmosphere of beautiful interior design with wall pieces and art around. To the open kitchen and fresh fish visible to the dinning room and upbeat music to tie it all in just sets the mood for delicious dishes that await.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service here was great and able to seat us without reservations (I recommend) and were tentative to the table. We had a party of 4. Now why you're really here, the food is absolutely fire here. Seafood in florida can old quick but Emeril's flips the script on my tastebuds with some of well prepared dishes. The upside down pineapple cornbread is something I could eat every week, you have to at least try it. We also had the BBQ Shrimp that I really enjoyed but the sauce wasn't entirely there for me. My wife had a Ceaser Salad which was one of the best she's had. Our mains consisted of 3 Fresh Catches, 2 Mahi's and 1 RedFish with crab added on the side, everything was delicious and nothing was left after. My wife had the stuffed shells which she really enjoyed. Whether you planning a nice date, celebrating an occasion or just want a some good food Emeril's the place to go. Oh and the drinks here look amazing, maybe next time.

Tuna poke bowl was sooooo good!!! We came in here pretty late on a Friday and the service was a little slow but understandable for a beach restaurant that was packed!! We all really enjoyed our meals. The appetizers were good- fish dip was amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a group of 8 and a baby and had a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is a little full of tables so hard to move around with a stroller but we made it work![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came to Destin to celebrate a friends birthday and she chose Emeril's as she wanted a classy restaurant with a nice ambiance for Sunday night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was very pleased with the restaurant and the staff made the experience even better! Everybody ordered a little bit of everything (Stuffed Shells, Steaks , Seafood platter) and everybody enjoyed their meal! The service was 10/10. The staff were very friendly and the chef came out to greet us and wish our friend a Happy Birthday! The waitress even met my friends request for skittles as his dessert (Total Jokester) LOL. I'd definitely visit again. Some items were ok like the gumbo however other items were amazing like the Stuffed Shells! This was very saucy/tasty and served in a Sheek All Clad pan. I'd recommend this restaurant for sure!

Host team was rude and not approachable. They barely talked to anyone and one of their moms/ family and that was the only time you saw her smile or talk. Not a great first impression. Drinks were decent. Food was really good. Service decent. I wouldn't come back.

Fresh fish and the crab took it up a notch. Disappointed that there wasn't a whole fish available but always a destination when in Destin!

Went here for my birthday dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere and the food were very relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love the whole red snapper. The service at the bar and the tables was excellent. We will be back 100%

    What is a A&E fee?

I'm in Destin this week for work and I had heard this place was good, plus it's pretty cool that Emeril drops by now and then too, so I checked it out tonight by myself. Very good phone customer service: I tried to make a reservation online and you can't, for just one person. I made one for 2 people for 615pm, and only the patio was available; when I called, they were able to switch me to indoors, which I appreciated. I ordered: -rum cocktail: tasty and came in a tiki glass. However, it took a while for them to bring it to me. -8-oz. filet, medium rare: I asked the waiter which he suggested, between this and the pork chops, and he actually suggested the pork chops, but I was craving steak. It was very good, with a nice char, but unfortunately was more rare vs. medium rare. It came with mashed potatoes, which were also very good, and string beans, but I subbed Brussels sprouts with bacon (at no charge). It was too bacon-y for me so I wasn't a fan. I gave my waiter my credit card before the bill was brought and then I noticed an "A&E tax" on it, for about $1.50 on a $74 bill. I later Googled it and it's an arts and entertainment tax and I BELIEVE can be waived, I'd you ask. Overall I'd come back here but might try the pork chops or fried chicken, the chicken comes with a rosemary biscuit and sounded good. Dessert menu also looked good but I was full and also I have some flan in my hotel fridge to finish.

Mine or Olive gardens are better

Bit impressed at all m, wish I stayed home bc this was not worth the $32. The bread and butter was nothing special either.

Portions are SO small, unique items on the menu, and the service is slow. I have not been with the new focus on Italian.

Do they have a kids menu?

Yes as I recall and it was not just your typical kid food.

    Any vegan options?

Yes there is. And don't listen to Jan W. whose average restaurant he/she eats appears to be typical tourist fare and give five stars to. Emeril's is one of the best restaurants in the area. Just don't eat there if you're used to eating at chain…

Ok. I've been patronizing Skipper's for as long as it's been in business...even before I had a…read moretaste for shrimp. I even have a t-shirt I wear proudly in my home town. Like many things here in Destin over the last few years, change is abrupt and frustrating. And for this review I don't mean ownership...I've continued patronizing since the original Skipper sold out and still love the shrimp and tuna dip there--and the folks helping behind the counter. I will typically visit 4 to 5 times during a break here to ensure we always have fresh, local, steamed shrimp in the fridge...it doesn't last long. And Skipper's has always had the best. But my first visit this summer really bothered me. After an honestly strange interaction with the young man handling the counter--seemed he couldn't interpret the questions I was asking about sizes, though I was being somewhat comic (I was happy to be getting my first batch of the summer!)--I chose my size and weight and requested it to be steamed with cajun seasoning, my usual. He then told me it would cost $5 to steam. I was floored. Again, how many years I can't even count that I've followed a routine of hitting Skipper's, grabbing a couple pounds and a tuna dip, request the steam, pay, leave the tuna dip on ice, head to Winn Dixie for a couple items, return in 10 mins to pick up the steaming hot shrimp, and head back to the condo to enjoy the best shrimp in the world. Never have I been charged to steam. So I asked the guy behind the counter when they started charging. His reponse? "We always have." I asked how long is "always" to him. He said since he'd been working there. I asked how long that has been. He said "about 8 months." Well, little did he know I had just followed my routine in April and was not charged for steaming. And I followed it several times in November as well with no charge. At the very least get the story and justification straight. It's enough to see the new credit card transaction charges on everything in Destin now (pre-tax, btw). This is just another hit. And I get it...small businesses have it tough, no doubt. And I will always support small businesses...as long as they make me feel good. This young man did not. And one more thing to add here...unfortunately another criticisim. On our next visit a few days later (can't give up the shrimp, and there really is no better...though there's a spot closer to Destin that may compete I've learned), my wife followed my routine while I was golfing. When I arrived back home, she was almost embarrassed to tell me that the steamed shrimp had come with butter and lemon...without notice. And I mean a Southern serving of butter...a pool of it in the tin container. We absolutely prefer our shrimp seasoned only (cajun, not old bay). Period. Adding a ton of butter with no check for preference or confirmation of a practice a new patron or old would never know was default (albeit, in the last few years the folks behind the counter would know me so knew how I liked it, which I also cherish) is just a straight up failure of service to me. I will say we drained the butter and saved it as it was tasty as heck on toasted bread, but not with our traditional shrimp enjoyment. Whenever I meet a new tourist to this area no matter where that may be--the geographic breadth of folks visiting here is amazing the last few years--I ALWAYS recommend Skippers fresh shrimp and tuna dip. I even did so with a family we met in the Austin airport on the way here headed to their first vacation in Miramar Beach and happened to be staying right across from Skipper's on old 98. I even bragged about how Skipper's steams it for you right on the spot. I surely hope they were asked if they wanted butter and lemon.
