Super Bowl Sunday Taco bundle to go!
K P.

We are regulars at Tamarindo's and have never had a bad meal. We just ordered a taco bundle for the Super Bowl and it was delicious. On a previous occasion, we went out as a family, and enjoy some music and a delicious meal on the patio. Fernando and his family are always warm and inviting. Thank you!

We came here on a Saturday evening with some friends per their recommendation. We had an amazing meal and amazing experience. We were seated right away. Our waiter was high energy and awesome. In fact, all of the people working that night seemed happy and super friendly. He rattled off the specials, poured everyone some free margaritas, and zoomed off and around as he did the entire night. His fun and endless energy made our night even better. I didn't have a margarita myself, but my girlfriend said it packed a punch more than expected for a free one. We ordered the nachos and calamari to start. Both were delicious, but the real test is always the calamari. The squid was tender and not chewy - perfectly cooked. It came with both a red and green sauce. I preferred the green - tangy and perfectly paired with the calamari. I ordered the shiitake salad which was just a basic salad with spinach, mushrooms, avocado, tomatoes, and crispy tortilla strips. What made the salad was the added shrimp. Nicely seasoned and wonderfully tender. I could eat those time and time again. In terms of COVID precautions, the tables were nicely spread out and there was outdoor dining available. The waiters and staff all wore masks the entire time. Friendly, accommodating staff, good food and atmosphere - definitely worth checking out.

We had amazing food and service our first night at Tamarindos. The nachos, calamari and tortilla soup are fantastic.

If you want to beg for a margaritas in a Mexican restaurant, this is your place. The food is good though.

Drink Tip: The house margarita and top shelf margarita are pre-made and tbh they both gave me a pain throbbing headache (on two different instances). HOWEVER the other cocktails are tasty and did not give me a headache, I enjoy the cocktails most with mezcal as the smoky tequila gives certain drinks a nice kick with a smoky undertone. Food Favorites: Guacamole, Steak & Shrimp Fajitas Service: The service here is chill, they'll always ask if you have a reservation, you don't need one BUT if it's after 5 you'll be better off with a reservation. Parking: There is on street parking but if it's in the evening hope for the best.

We went to El Poquito yesterday for Cinco de Mayo. Parking is metered on the street, but I…read moredefinitely recommend parking in the small lot around the corner behind the Chestnut Hill Grill and walking over. The place was PACKED wall to wall because of the holiday. The wait was about an hour, so we decided to order food to go instead. I ordered a strawberry mango margarita from the bar, and honestly, I've never had a margarita taste like a tequila sunrise before. It was thick and just not good. Jesse made it, and when I mentioned it didn't taste like a margarita, Chyna (not sure of the spelling) attempted to remake it. The second one was slightly better, but still not what I'd expect from a margarita at a Mexican restaurant. We ordered the 4 taco platter (about $21). You can only choose two of the same taco type. We tried the short rib, chicken, and pork tacos along with the street corn. The tacos were okay maybe a 5/10. They fell apart. The black beans and rice were actually good. The street corn, however, lacked flavor and didn't really resemble traditional street corn. Barely any cheese or seasoning. Even the lime served with the tacos was so dry we couldn't get juice out of it. Overall, maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed because of Cinco de Mayo, so the food just didn't have that extra care behind them. First impressions matter, and this one unfortunately missed the mark for us. On the positive side, the space is large inside, they have a nice patio/garden seating area outdoors, and reservations are available. We might go back and try taco Tuesday.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with colorful touches throughout, which really adds to the vibe. It's clean, has a number of outdoor seating options, and is tucked away in a pleasant location. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The space is vibrant and inviting, with colorful decor that gives it a lively feel. Everything was clean and well kept, and the outdoor seating is a nice bonus, especially in good weather. Service - The staff were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Service was smooth and efficient, which was perfect since we were on a bit of a time crunch before our show. What We Ordered - Pork Tamale (Good, with flavorful filling) Al Pastor Taco (Easily our favorite, great flavor and well balanced) Chorizo Taco (Good) Grilled Chicken Taco (A bit on the dry side) Barbacoa Taco (Just okay, slightly dry) Lengua Taco (Very good, tender and flavorful) They also offer a nice perk of a free margarita with your meal, which was a pleasant surprise. Final Thoughts - Overall, a really solid spot with great service and a fun atmosphere. While a couple of items were slightly on the dry side, most of the food was very enjoyable. I would definitely come back for another visit.

The grandparents are involved offering their sides to the kids, need extra plates, a To Go container. And always one person in our group is missing their meal, no matter what restaurant we go to. Then the server is back in the kitchen to find out what happened and finally, it arrives. We had an extra layer of chaos since none of us speak Spanish, so some of the special requests were not translating. I ordered a Shrimp Burrito with no red or green sauce on top, but I still wanted the sour cream and guacamole, lettuce and tomato. I received a completely dry burrito. The server said those things were inside. I just ordered a side of sour cream and we already had guacamole as an appetizer, so it worked out. The restaurant is very bright and colorful, it's a very festive place. El Limon is a chain and I heard that this location is bigger than the others.

Flourtown location on 2 occasions over 2 years refused to take gift cards( both were just recently purchased) this is deliberate and criminal. I have owned restaurants for 35 years and am personally offended and disgusted by this sort of blatant illegal disregard for the public. This is so unfortunate because I Was a fan and supporter of this business from their first location years ago.
