The decor features Oak tables, furniture and trim. It even has a fireplace!

New the last week of April 2015. The restaurant is owned and operated by Mennonites which is evident in the decor and excellent home cooked meals. The restaurant features a full breakfast menu (served all day) along with a nice selection of sandwiches for lunch. My wife and I ordered a 1/2 Focaccia Bread Panini intending to split it yet we still ended up bringing half of it home. The french fries they serve are homemade and they leave it to the customer to season them to taste, which we appreciated. They are located on a side street off of M46 in Sandusky. They don't have a sign at the road yet but you'll find the connecting road on the North side of the highway, between the Westpark Motor Inn and Jerry's Foodland. They are closed Sunday and Monday and may be contacted at 810-404-4040.

The best place in the area for "home cooked style" food. Very nice people, good service and fair priced.

I was at McPherson's about 10 minutes before they opened Saturday morning. I figured this was good…read morebecause there were at least 5 vehicles there with people waiting for them to open. The American fries were the closest thing to what my mother used to make a long time ago. Service was excellent. She talked about the cinnamon rolls. I bought a small one to go which was anything but small (very delicious I might add). I was an hour away from home on my way through for the day's activities. My wife and I will go there soon. Thank you for a great start to my Saturday. It was my birthday too but I don't mention that to people.

I've heard this place had the humongous cinnamon rolls and I knew I had to get one. The small could feed 3 people easily and the family size is HUGE. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon. The bread was fresh made and the gravy was delicious! Coffee is always piping hot and service cannot be beat! This place gets busy and I can see why. The food was great, service was outstanding and the homemade bread, cookies and cinnamon rolls are the stars here. If you're ever by Millington, stop by here. You'll be glad you did!

Walking in feels like the universe hit pause somewhere in the best way. Same feel, same energy, same kind of place you can count on without thinking twice. It's like being teleported back to exactly where you're supposed to be. And the food? Exactly what it should be. No pretending to be healthy, no overthinking it. Just straight, unapologetic comfort. I go there for one thing every time: the hot beef sandwich. Massive. Smothered in gravy... and I mean gravy everywhere. The kind where you don't just eat it, you commit to it. Fries? Those are getting dipped in gravy too, no question. It's excessive in the best possible way. The portions are out of control. You're not finishing it. You're not even pretending to. You're leaving with enough leftovers for the next couple of days and you're not mad about it. It's the kind of meal that feels a little sinful, but worth every second. You'll deal with forgiveness later. Hometown, no-frills, real-deal comfort food that hasn't lost its identity over time. And honestly, that's rare.
