Easy 5 stars. I've had the same nail technician in South Tampa before moving up to Lutz in December and because that, I've always been apprehensive about getting my nails done / removed - touched in general by anyone else because of bad experiences prior to finding my amazing nail tech. I especially have trepidation towards getting my sets removed by anyone other than my go to tech because usually my nails would just be ripped off in a hurry and I'd lose so much growth because of it. Unfortunately, my dip set was so grown out. Fortunately, as I was getting Indian take out, I found Emmy Nail Salon and went in for a set removal. I had no appointment but was seen right away. The service I received was amazing. My nail tech here was very kind, took his time, and even without me expressing that I wanted to preserve some (not all) growth, he just went above and beyond. My nails were preserved! I didn't come in for a manicure but he also gave me a coat of clear polish just to protect my nails which I've never experienced in any other nail salon whenever I just come in for a set removal. I have been coming here for almost a year even though this salon is minutes from my home I never ventured in. Upon my first visit I met Kim and immediately felt as if I had found where I needed to be. Everyone in the salon is super friendly and each time I go in they remember me. Aside from the nail techs the customers are also super friendly as well, as I've made a couple of new friends there while getting my nails done. As far as color selection they have it ALL, and their prices are super affordable. When my appointment is over, I can't help but admire my nails; they always look fantastic! I leave the salon feeling pampered and rejuvenated, thrilled to have discovered such a gem in my neighborhood. My beautiful nail tech AN is amazing. My nail beds are weak and she recommended the HYGEL Hybrid Gel Odor Free. AN I learned is an artist and a content creator on social media she asked if I would like a design on my nails. I am absolutely in Love with my nails for the first time. We painted the nails in rose gold and AN painted an airplane on one nail and clouds on another nail. It's the most spectacular nails ever read more

took my daughter to get her nails done for the first time ever with a full set. she was so excited. we picked out regular polish, but the lady insisted we needed to use gel on her so they lasted longer and didn't chip... we got them done on Sunday 8/11 before school. by 8/17 her pinky nail already fell off and by 8/19 every nail was off... I spent $60 and it was the biggest waste of money. they lasted the same time as glue ons read more

Wow. The manicurist was rude from the start. She cut my toe during the pedicure. She seemed off-put that i refused her multiple offers of a gel mani and an eyebrow wax. I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes people just want the basics for whatever reason, and I certainly didn't need to explain myself to this woman. She barely filed my nails and as the other reviewer stated, it looks out grown due to her not polishing all the way down to the cuticle. Not even a full day later and my nails are already chipped. I can deal with a cranky manicurist for a great job. I can deal with a friendly manicurist doing a horrible job. I can't deal with both. Shoulda just sucked it up and waited at My's, which was slammed. Now I know why!! I'll never return. read more

Went in for a fill they guy that did my nails didn't do the fill the correct way and when he painted them the first time he only put one coat and I asked for another coat the pair was horrible left went back in and asked the lady to repaint my nails she gave me gel and did it super fast the pain is super thick. This is the worst salon I have ever been to! I grew up with my mom owning a salon and have been to many in my lifetime. My sister in law and I went to get shellac gel manicures. There were only 2 ladies working, and as people were coming in they were so rude and telling them it would be over 2 hours wait. The lady who did my nails was more concerned about how she looked then me or my sister in law. She did both our nails with shellac and it was horrific. In the end, she didn't go all the way to the cuticle, so it looked like it was already over a week grown out as soon as it was done. This was for both of us, we both asked her to re-do our nails and she wouldn't. She said she was busy and she had other clients, and rolled her eyes and was very upset that we criticized her work. Waste of money and time! Terrible service and on top of that, my nails started chipping the next day! AVOID this salon. There are many other salons you can go to. read more

Terrible Service! My nails looked SO much worse after I got the manicure I didn't even let the lady color polish my nails! I went here for a manicure, lady did it (she said her name was Janet Ho,owner). My nails/cuticles were not done even remotely nice, I even borrowed the lady's file and showed her, "this is what you have to do". Then I proceeded to tell her I wanted my money back, my nails looked worse going out than when I walked in. She refused. I stated no problem i was going to review her place. Another older lady gave me my money back. I walked out Never to return. Do not go here ladies! You'll be as sorry as I was. Took me more time and money to fix my nails after the masacre they did for me. read more

This was the worst nail fill I've ever gotten. The acrylic doesn't go to the cuticle. They cut them WAY too short. They are very uneven. There are bubbles in the polish. She was nice enoug, but I'm going to have to pay somewhere else to fix her screwup, or deal with these horrible nails for a few weeks. Stay away! read more
