    Hawaiian

Dropped by for late evening dinner on a Thursday. We had the Hawaiian pizza and the shaved Brussel salad. Not sure I liked the blue cheese flavor with the Brussels. Probably won't get that again. Pizza was outstanding. Cupped pepperoni, thick cut bacon, pineapple. Mmmm. Love the crust. Its a buttery and flaky thick crust. Very different, Detroit style. Service was great. Coke served in a can. Sit down and order style place.

The Brussels sprout salad is amazing as well as my friend tells me the gluten free pizza crust is the best she's had from all around town- Mac our server was such a treasure- he was kind and will do great things. The tiny dinosaurs are so cute in there,

I was looking for something quick and good! And I hit the jackpot!!!!!!! the atmosphere was really inviting, we sat inside but they also have outdoor seating! The decor was really simple and elegant! The waiter was really nice and very attentive! The salad and mozzarella sticks were fresh and delicious (I loved the big amount of marinara sauce we received) ! The deep dish was the star of the show - I'm super picky when it comes to pizza so I was really impressed by the sauce and cheese! The only thing I didn't like was no tomatoes or spinach to add as additional toppings! Other than that I will definitely be going back !!! (Pizza was pineapple, chicken, spicy beef, and green peppers)

A little bit of Nashville, a little bit of Detroit! Can't beat a Detroit-style pizza with Nashville hot chicken on top. The crust on this pizza is divine, full of crispy melted cheese. The hot chicken + white sauce + house pickles is just the pizza combo you never knew you needed. Can't go wrong with Emmy Squared!

I ordered a burger. It was decent . My friends order the pizza and the cheese pull was amazing. Nice spot to grab a simple lunch. The service was good as well.

Ate at Emmy tonight. It was delicious! We got the hot chicken pizza which was the right amount of spicy and flavorful! I like the crispy crust and the cheesiness of it. The staff was great and ambiance always good!

Overall the pizza was good. I went here with My friends and their children. Family friendly environment. I'll definitely have to go back again!

    The Colony Pizza

This was my first time visiting Emmy Squared as my coworker recommended we try them for lunch. When we got to the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and seated. We noticed it wasn't really busy, especially since there was only 1 waiter for the entire restaurant. But he did a great job with constantly making his rounds. After looking over the menus, we of course wanted to try their pizza. I ordered the Colony pizza. It came with honey but I declined it as I don't really care for "sweet" pizza. The Colony was your typical pizza. It was served hot and was delicious. I really enjoyed the buttery, thick crust and the pickled jalapeños. Will definitely come back and try another dish as they also serve salads and burgers/sandwiches.

    Le Bleu Burger

Honestly, my review for this place is pretty mixed. I had the Le Bleu burger and fries, and the burger is a mix of different meats, but it really lacked in flavor. It was really greasy and the bun was also kind of burnt. If I was going solely off of the burger, I'd give this place a 2/5. My friend got the Emmy pizza, and it was so good. I loved the sauce on top, and the crust was very fluffy and flavorful, I really wish I had gotten that instead. The burger was $19 and to add fries was $7 which I found to be incredibly high for the food I got. I will say, overall the food seemed really overpriced for the quality of food you got. If I went back, I would definitely stick with a pizza, but I'm not sure I would try this place again.

Came here to catch up with a friend. He had suggested to come here and been wanting to try it. I had never heard of it, but I'm glad he suggested it! He got the vodka pizza (vodka sauce, basil, and pecorino) and said it was really good. I got the angel pizza, and it was delicious. It had truffle mushroom cream, ricotta cheese, and mushrooms. I think it is now my favorite pizza in Birmingham. We both ended up eating all of our respective pizzas - it was that good. I also did get the Not From the Stand drink (vodka, lime juice, cherry, and sprite) and it was great too. They have a lot of other options if you aren't feeling pizza that day. The burgers and sandwiches look good, as do several of the appetizers (wings and zia fries especially). So yeah... I'll definitely want to come back here again.

Don't walk run to this new pizza spot!! It doesn't even feel like you're in Birmingham when you walk into this restaurant . The staff was very polite and answered all of our multiple questions about every little thing on the menu the price point for the food that you're getting is perfect.! Every item we ordered was amazing. this place will definitely be one of my new regular spots. I would highly recommend you giving them a try.

I went to Emmy's a few times in the last week. I had the good paulie, zia fries, Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and moz sticks! Everything was so good! I also got a drink each time and their drinks are always a 10/10. The vibes were great as always!! My server was very nice and I didn't have to ask for anything! Super cool management--very friendly and helpful :)

    Miranda Pizza
    Emily C.

Emmy Squared serves up thick-crust pizza that doesn't shy away from cheese. Between my family of 4, we split the Miranda and Margherita pizzas (regular size). This allowed everyone to have 3 slices and it was the perfect amount. The Miranda is a 4-cheese pizza with bacon and hot honey on top. I would have liked it more if this pizza had a sauce, as it was very cheesy. The hot honey is a fun touch but there wasn't enough of it to make a difference. The bacon was a bit fatty, and I personally prefer it more well-done/crispy. The Margherita was pretty good and more well-balanced in terms of flavor. The inside is cute and clean and our server was great about checking in with our table.

It gives a great vibe for either a work dinner, a date night, owl or dinner with friends! It's fun and swanky but not over the top. They have a really attractive bar and they have a pizza kitchen that is open, which is always a cool touch. I try to handful of appetizers and I've got to recommend both the jerk cauliflower as well as the brussels sprouts and the Caesar salad was delicious as well. Also, the blistered Hungarian peppers are a must order if you'd like sausage! The meal that I had both times because it was that good was the spicy lamb rigatoni. I might just go back next week and get it again. I like that they have a wide variety of options whether you're looking for a gluten-free meal or something carb heavy like pizza or pasta, but they also have options to fit a variety of budgets from a casual dinner and a burger to more expensive entrées. The servers are very kind and are definitely educated in their wine and food offerings and very hospitable. Since this is located on Morris, a lot of people think parking is difficult down there, but apparently there is a parking lot in the back where you're able to get your ticket validated. I know some of my friends wish they would have known this before. I'll definitely be back and recommend this spot to others wanting a good meal!

The toppings and sauce were good, but the best part was the chewy crust that was slightly charcoaled. I had to use the City parking lot in the back as street parking was full. It's what you might think of as a cheese pizza, the add garlic and fresh basil to the mix and it is a wonderful result. It's a hand tossed pizza with a fairly thin crust. I was pleased that the had a large variety of options but even had gelato and desserts as well. Large pizzas run $21-$27 are thin crust. For pizzas, we got two of their Margheritas, Meat Buster and Palermo. They were all good and a hit at the family party. The meat Buster and Palermo had meat but honestly not a whole lot. They were good though. All the pizzas were lots of flavor and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. I loved that they had chili oil, extra dipping sauce, cheese, and peppers on the side for you to grab. While our time there we even had some gelato which was good and got some cheese cake to go. Our pizzas came out quick. The shop is very large with plenty of places to sit, even good for a large party. I loved that they even had plates on the table ready to go. This was a solid pizza spot and worth checking out if you prefer thinner crust.

I was greeted by the front employee, who was wiping down the final tables before service started. I viewed the menu and saw they offered pizza in different sizes and toppings. They also served pasta, including lasagna, chicken alfredo and spaghetti. I learn that the front employee's name was Solomon. He proved excellent customer service to me, answering all of my questions. He even pulled up a special menu on the TV for me to see that changes every day of the week, serving pizza by the slice instead of a whole pie. I ordered the Spaghetti with mushroom meat sauce, which included garlic bread and a side salad. I also ordered 2 pepperoni pizza with a drink. My total was right at $22 dollars for everything. To me, this was a bargain to get so much food as well. The setting of the table featured red and white tablecloths, which made it feel like a real Italian pizzeria. There are about 30-35 tables, with bar stool seating areas for single guest to enjoy the Birmingham view. My food took about 12 minutes to come out, and Solomon bagged everything nice and neatly before I made it to the counter. I went back to the stool seating to enjoy my food. Once he realized I was dining in, he brought over a parmesan cheese shaker for me to use with my food. This was top tier for me! Very observative. The Meal: I can tell you now that the portion sizes are humorous! The pizza is large thin, hand tossed slices that filled the box of a small pizza. The pasta was enough to feed three people, so they give you a well amount for your money. The pizza had to be eaten folded, which I enjoyed a lot. The pizza sauce was full of flavor, didn't seem like anything out of a can. The slices were cheesy, saucy and not overly greasy with a perfect crust. Some of the pizza I've enjoyed in Birmingham. The spaghetti mushroom meat sauce pasta was very meaty and full of mushrooms. The mushrooms could have been sauteed more before adding to the sauce. As the pasta was full of meat, the sauce could have been more. to cover the bottom of the noddle as well. The garlic bread bursted with buttery, garlicy herb flavor and was super airy and fluffy, not like hard toast baked to plinko chips consistency. The salad was super fresh and simple. The cheese was thick, hand shredded mozzarella cheese with fresh romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato. The ranch dressing was not my favorite, but the house vinaigrette was 10/10! I could drink that dressing; it was so good. I was able to wash it all down with various Coca-Cola fountain drinks or fresh brewed tea (Sweet or Unsweet). Coke Zero was an option, which made me happy! Overall, this visit earned a solid 4.5/5 and I would patronize with them again. Customer service as 5/5, thanks to Solomon. The chefs were hard at work the entire time. By the time I left, 75% of the tables were taken and mostly everyone was eating already too. Check them out if you're in the area! -DASC
