    Cheese square

Stopped by to try a promotion on slices today! The cheese pizza was fresh and crispy. Could use a little more sauce but overall very good! Service was great! Kaae I think was her name was friendly and smiled making me feel welcome. The wait staff who brought out my pizza was also nice. A good spot for date night or large group dining. Bar seating available too. Restroom available. To enter the restaurant there are a few stairs down. Conveniently located - a short walk to Times Square. Looking forward to coming back for dinner soon!

    The unhappy rude waitress

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here and will not be returning or recommending this restaurant. It seemed like the bartender was also hosting. She didn't greet us and appeared annoyed when we asked for a table for four. She sat us down without saying much and then walked away waited 15 min until someone came to our table, while we were still eating our appetizers. At one point, I asked my 9-year-old to get cups from the empty table next to us. She stacked three cups, and a waitress who was wrapping utensils yelled at her, "Excuse me, those are not toys!" I found that response completely inappropriate, especially considering my daughter was simply trying to get cups for our table and there were only about 3-4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. I spoke up and explained that she wasn't playing with them. Our server also left a glass water bottle on the table without providing cups or utensils, which added to the overall poor experience. The atmosphere felt like everyone working there was unhappy to be there, and unfortunately, that came across in the service. The pizza itself was probably a 7/10, but the dough was noticeably undercooked. Overall, the service and treatment we received were disappointing. Unfortunately, we will not be returning or referring anyone here.

Margarita Pizza - Sixer (6 pieces)

Great place to grab a bit to eat before or after a Broadway show. The pizza is amazing. It is Detroit style but it is so good. We tried the Founders (the most popular pizza on the menu) and it includes pepperoni, jalapeños and hot honey. It is spicy so beware but it is quite tasty. We are tried the margarita pizza which comes with burrata cheese on top. The group enjoyed it. I didn't care for the buttata. The seating is limited so make a resy. The wait staff was friendly and fast. Highly recommend.

Delicious pizzas and burgers. Centrally located on a side street near Times Square, cozy seating, staff were really nice but had to ask twice for a few things cause they were pretty overworked. The pizza has a really nice crisp and texture to it. No beers on tap, everything is cans or bottles poured into a glass.

Emmy Squared Pizza is delicious Detroit style pizza! All of options very tasty, you can't really go wrong with any flavor. I personally like a classic red sauce pizza.

Sorry I didn't get this pic before the first 2 casualties were in our bellies.

Detroit in the city. Ordered the 6 slice Detroit pan pizza. Flew all the way from Cali to hit my usual pizza joints when we walked to one of my old favs to find a new joint in its place. Emmys apparently has been here awhile and we didn't even know it. Love the story about the couple who owns it. Pizza came out in 20 minutes and within 10 minutes there was no trace it was ever at the table. Devoured. Delicious. My hats off to this young dynamic couple with a vision. Solid choice for great pizza steps from Times Square. Crazy Bernie and Tammy the Tornado are huge fans.

    Chef's special pizza

Sooo Good!!! Taste: We loved everything we ordered. The chefs special pizza under promised and over delivered... truly exceptional. The brussels sprout salad was unique and delicious. And we loved both cocktails... the espresso and pear bourbon drinks. Service: The service was fine. Our dinner reservation was for 8pm and they closed at 9. Server was friendly and everything came out great, but we were not checked in on again after our food arrived. Would have otherwise ordered dessert. Ambiance: Very cute... even better in person than any of the pics. Was a little warm but great space nonetheless. Would have done four stars for service and ambiance, but the food was so good I gave it five.

Let's start with the Service! Jack was hands down the best! We almost passed on it but his energy brought us back to reconsider and I'm glad we did! He was very knowledgeable about the food and the history of the restaurant, He made us feel super welcome from start to finish! The food and Drinks were A++ that was our first time having Detroit style pizza and Being a native New Yorker I'm happy to say it was Great! Clean Restrooms too! Sorry for the long Review but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in town...Look for Jack!

Perfect for catching up with friends! The staff--especially Jack--are amazing, and the pizza tastes so good. Thank you!

If you're looking for a great tasting, imaginative pizza experience, then Emmy Squared is a must. I've been to the one on 48th St. on numerous occasions, and I've never been disappointed. In fact, things always manage to surpassed my expectations. I strongly recommend the Colony pizza because the opposing flavors of the pepperoni, jalapeño's, and especially the honey, creates a flavor profile that is next level. I can say that all of their pizza options are amazing, and I don't think that you can make a mistake. The ambiance of the 48th St restaurant is relaxing and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a strong recommendation and I'm sure that you'll enjoy yourself.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
