While visiting Times Square, we stopped into Carve Café & Pizza for breakfast just up the street from our hotel. One thing I noticed right away was how spacious the restaurant was. Unlike many grab-and-go spots in Times Square, Carve Café has seating, making it easy to sit down and actually enjoy your meal instead of eating on the run. They also had a fresh salad bar that looked absolutely scrumptious. We didn't get a chance to try it, but it definitely caught my attention. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant with a caramel latte, while my friend ordered a French toast sandwich with what she thought was a bacon, egg, and cheese. Unfortunately, it ended up being ham instead of bacon, which wasn't what she wanted. She still found it satisfying, but said it was pretty basic and nothing to rave about. While waiting for our sandwiches, I noticed the staff bringing out a fresh buffalo chicken pizza. It looked way too good to pass up, so of course I had to grab a slice. It was topped with buffalo sauce, chunks of chicken, and a drizzle of ranch dressing. It definitely tasted like buffalo chicken, so it delivered exactly what it was supposed to. It wasn't bad at all--just different from what I typically look for in a pizza. After trying it, I realized I'm more of a traditional pizza person, so I'll stick with the classic styles next time. But if you're looking to switch things up and try something different, it's definitely worth giving a try. My ham and cheese croissant was definitely the highlight. It was nicely toasted, cheesy, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The caramel latte was good too, although I wish I'd added an extra shot of espresso for a stronger coffee flavor. As for the prices, they're about what you'd expect in Times Square--a little on the expensive side. At this point, I just accepted that everything in the area comes with a Times Square price tag. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made for a great start to the day. Overall, Carve Café delivered a solid breakfast experience with good food and even better hospitality. I'd definitely stop by again if I found myself in the area. read more

PROS: The food tasted fresh and was good, the atmosphere looked renovated, staff was friendly, bathroom was available, prices were good, and I even saw cops eating here which showed me this is a go-to spot CONS: They only have a one person bathroom which can cause a backup. I stopped at Carve before seeing a show at the Lyric. There are a lot of options but being in New York I tried a slice of the veggie pizza. I absolutely love the crispy thin crust. They also have a restroom, which is nice because not all places in Time Square do. read more

After walking the 8th ave market of food, jewelry and art stands, I wanted to end my trip with a slice of good ol' pizza. Carve did not disappoint! Carve Café & Pizza NYC was such a sweet surprise! very good service, everyone was nice and friendly. The garlic bread was bomb, perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. And the cinnamon roll? So yum. Warm, gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The pizza was solid, thin crust, melted cheese, and tasty. Simple, comforting, and totally satisfying. When I first looked in the window, I thought this was just a pizza place. It's so much more. In addition to pizza, they have fresh soup, salads, pastries, and more. The service was great and we loved the food that we ordered. It's not a huge place, but the location is very convenient and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. We came here for a quick bite to hold us over until our late dinner. It was convenient since the tour bus stop was just outside. The pizza was typical for nyc. Great for a late night bite, as they stay open very late. A good spot for after broadway or just a lowkey stop while out and about in Times Square. Quick service and a good amount of seating. I got the turkey burger which I thought was really good. Their fries also taste like McDonalds fries, which I thought was fine. The only downside is there is only one bathroom that is extremely small and not that comfortable to use. read more

They've got some good stuff in here, the chicken sandwich is what I had and it was an absolutely monster of a sandwich, lots of chicken . They've got a variety of drinks and pastries and the service was fast and friendly even though they're pretty busy . It was too crunchy on the bottom and there was hardly any sausage crumble on the slice. The carrot cake had far too much icing on it and tasted just like eating raw sugar. The food is really good, if you want to start your day off well, you should go here. The French toast with bacon and eggs were great, service was a little slow, mostly because it was busy and the place is a bit small for a restaurant that crowded. The ambiance was ok, but if you're staying at a hotel and get to chose between different spots, I would recommend taking the grab and go from Carve, definitely worth eating at. read more

I got the basil and tomato slice. It was refreshing and amazing. Crunchy crust and fresh toppings. My wife got the southwest burger with cheese fries. Also fresh toppings, cooked perfectly. Liquid cheddar cheese on the fries. Perfecto! The fries could have been cooked a little longer but that's subjective. I love this place. Visiting from Alabama. I would come back here for sure. The pepperoni & sausage pizza is good. The sausage is a little bland, but the pepperoni is great. The chicken noodle soup is as good as Mom's! The staff is friendly and helpful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
