It's your typical diner, with not typical diner quality. HUGE portions, so you don't feel like you're being overcharged. Because let's face it, they overcharge you for *everything in NYC. This place was PACKED!!! I had the chicken pot pie that the waiter recommended. OMG! It was the size of my head, full of huge chunks of tender chicken, and seasoned to perfection. My friends had Korean spicy chicken sandwich, a smash/French dip sandwich, a Mexican bowl, and last but not least...the phantom ice cream Sunday. All of which were large and delicious. Nicer more upscale diner than what you usually think of for a diner. Very clean and well lit with counter or table seating available and serving up breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was good, i orders the bbq burger it was grilled perfectly and loved the bacon and grilled onions but it was missing the bbq sauce so i had it on the side, fries were hot and well seasoned and the service was a bit slow taking 30 minutes to get my food and I think my waiter forgot because something else finished taking care of me but sometimes that's the way things are. read more

I had such a good time here. Everything was good (except for the coffee, which was weak): the food, the caring service and the nice ambiance. My friend had her first ever chocolate egg cream. The waiter (who made it himself with half and half instead of milk) comped it when I told him. He was a doll. My salmon teriyaki was delicious as was my friend's steak and fries (awesome fries). Nothing but excellent food I had simple. I had the cheeseburger deluxe. It was excellent. Everything was really good quality beef used to make the hamburger the matzo bowl soup fresh made from scratch. The amount itself is fluffy. Light and delicious. It was really good and wonderful vegetables in the soup very fresh you can tell fish and chips. It's one of the best my wife I've had. We were seated quickly in a booth for two. Guillermo M. was our wait staff, and he was nice & efficient. I got the chicken pot pie. It was huge and I was stuffed by the time I finished it. It was so good! Husband got a pastrami sandwich. It was not as big as my pot pie, but it was just the right size for him. He was pleasantly full after eating this delicious sandwich. When my spouse and I arrived they immediately took us to a lovely window and acknowledged how happy they were to accomodate. They also offer a pistachio milkshake and I feel that I need to go back and try that one. I ordered a combo that included a cheeseburger, salad or fries and the milkshake. The price was a little high, but I think it was worth it for a New York City diner. I showed up right before closing which I think is early for a diner at 9 PM.
