Nicer more upscale diner than what you usually think of for a diner. Very clean and well lit with counter or table seating available and serving up breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was good, i orders the bbq burger it was grilled perfectly and loved the bacon and grilled onions but it was missing the bbq sauce so i had it on the side, fries were hot and well seasoned and the service was a bit slow taking 30 minutes to get my food and I think my waiter forgot because something else finished taking care of me but sometimes that's the way things are.

Hidden gem in midtown. Love the atmosphere. Classic diner vibes. Service was polite, helpful and quick. We had about a 15 minute wait before being seated. Menu is good sized and plenty of options. Luna the bartender was fabulous!! Next time we are in New York, we are stopping back!!!!

Yum yum and yum. The burger was cooked to perfection and on a gluten free bun too! The fries? Other worldly! Absolutely hands down the best fries ever! I wish I could eat them everyday. Service was friendly and we will be back the next time we are in NYC. The ambiance is typical diner - a bit louder but you're in NYC.

A classic American experience in Manhattan near Central Park. It is called Brooklyn Diner but it's in Manhattan. Good service. Comfy booth. Classic dishes. Roasted chicken was a surprise (not tacos or burgers). Delicious, and the portion was huge!

It's in the tourist area. Always packed. Service is spotty. My order had to be adjusted. There were several items they ran out of. It's ok if you want the vibe of a diner.

Nothing but excellent food I had simple. I had the cheeseburger deluxe. It was excellent. Everything was really good quality beef used to make the hamburger the matzo bowl soup fresh made from scratch. The amount itself is fluffy. Light and delicious. It was really good and wonderful vegetables in the soup very fresh you can tell fish and chips. It's one of the best my wife I've had. She's still eating it and enjoying it and the weight staff excellence the service very friendly, very attentive ambience. It's a diner. What do you want? It's a nice diner though. You can go in and enjoy a nice New York diner and this is a try the egg cream awesome.

The food... scrumptious! The service - very accommodating ... maitre d'/ manager - Yusuf and our server Rene... always checks on us and making sure all is going well. The ambience is fun and very alive. Check the place out... you will like the experience....

This Brooklyn Diner was only a block from our hotel. We liked the 43rd Street location, so we decided to try this location for lunch. It was a comfortable place to eat. We were seated quickly in a booth for two. Guillermo M. was our wait staff, and he was nice & efficient. I got the chicken pot pie. It was huge and I was stuffed by the time I finished it. It was so good! Husband got a pastrami sandwich. It was not as big as my pot pie, but it was just the right size for him. He was pleasantly full after eating this delicious sandwich. He didn't eat the slaw. He forgot that it was vinegar based & to him it was bitter. We will be back when we visit New York as we'd like to try more items from the menu!

Visited on a Saturday morning. Busy but we were greeted and placed on a list quickly. We had abt a 10 minute wait which wasn't bad. They have a nice courtyard area you can sit in while you wait. Now to the good stuff, the food lol. ...ohemgee the food was great. We ordered the New Yorker breakfast and got the steak and eggs. My new Yorker was standard eggs, potatoes, bacon/ sausage and toast of your choice. All were good but let me tell you, that steak! Was amazing lol. Best steak ive ever had. It came with a green sauce and that was just as good. Med rare was perfect. It had a char but still juicy and tender. I would definitely come back. Wait staff was attentive and manager was making rounds and pleasant. I have no complaints.

We decided to stop into the Brooklyn Diner USA for breakfast because it was in walking distance of our hotel. It was a great choice because the food did not disappoint. We ordered the pastrami, hash, smoked salmon, bagel, pancake, and sunny side up eggs. The smoked salmon bagel was out of this world. The capers gave it a really good flavor. The service was great and it was a great diner experience. The inside dining room small and quaint but We will visit again when we're in NYC.

What a perfect diner experience! It's a little pricey as it's NYC but it was worth it! Warm and inviting staff was excellent. Super cute diner vibes inside. We absolutely loved our food!! So fresh and beautiful prepared. Good coffee too. My turkey BLT with avocado on toasted challah bread was so good! Swapped the fries for a huge arugula salad. Dressings were so delicious! My mom loved her avocado toast and my cousin had the grand slam which he really enjoyed. The fluffy thick pancake looked amazing.

Since we thoroughly enjoyed Trattoria Dell'Arte (The Nose) we knew we wanted to get breakfast at Brooklyn Diner. They're also owned by The Fireman Hospitality Group. Walking in we were generously welcomed by the mangers and hostess team and promptly sat at a window booth. We got the Double Stack Cinnamon Bun Pancakes, The Home-run Breakfast (not pictured) and the Nova Scotia Smoked Salmon, Scrambled Eggs & Onions.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's better than it needs to be, which in this neighborhood counts for a lot. The room is the star. Brass, smoked mirrors, marble, wallpaper with burlesque dancers, very Gatsby cosplay but done with actual money. Think the Campbell at Grand Central, minus the $28 martini attitude. It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7. Dollar oysters and $13 cocktails in a room this pretty is one of the best deals in Midtown, full stop. Service was warm and fast even slammed. Not a destination, but if you're near Bryant Park or seeing a show, this beats everything else within five blocks. Book ahead, walk-ins were getting turned away by 5:30.

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
