Gabby and Lee we're like a well oiled machine. I gotta tell you they really really handled business like bosses. so I was waiting for the game to start grabbing a beer and just watching Gabby work was like a joy being that I'm in the hospitality industry. I love how she interacted with all of her guests. I love how she gave them options. I loved how quickly the food came out like everybody was like seriously a very well oiled machine. The place is clean. The vibe is fun. It's super close proximity to the crypto center. I'm telling you if I was starting any restaurant, Gabby is who I'm gonna want to be in charge of everything because that's how I felt that she had everything under control. She was the queen of everything and I love that for her. I love that for this company. They're lucky to have her. Do you hear me? Gabby needs a raise!!!

**This review is for the Big Matt Burger only** Went there on Friday evening. I didn't try their pizza but the Big Matt Burger was sooooo delicious! I was hesitant about the pretzel bun but everything tasted great together. The burger even had a little kick, yum! The staff at the register was super nice and helpful - she was patient and gave us time to think about our order without rushing us, showed us how to get water and even walked to our table to ask if we wanted additional sauces. Awesome service, thank you Emmy Squared Pizza!

Slow ass Service. Waited 30 minutes + for 1 fucken slice of pizza. They said it was because of an order with 7 pizzas ahead of me. Get a bigger oven if you can't put a damn extra slice in.

Super small for the price. Didn't taste like it was done in house.

I love pizza and this new place opened up by my job so I've been wanting to try it. I was surprised at the variety on the menu. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza to go. Umm... it was soft and soggy like when you heat up a frozen slice in the microwave. $9- 9.88 with tax. Horrible. I ordered, I ate it, regretted it. If that's their standard for pizza and it's called Emmys Pizza I definitely wouldn't venture out into the rest of the menu. From a pizza lover, never coming here again. I want my money back.

It was my first time here and it was empty. It's a pretty big place and I was surprised it was dead. Anyway, a friend ordered half and half margherita & pepperoni. It was average. You can come try and check it out for yourself and you be the judge.

Came one weekend afternoon, it was empty. The food is delicious, but is a bit pricey for me. 3 food items, and 2 drink for $60ish.

Overpriced and very slow service! I walked in to get lunch and was surprisingly shocked by how high the prices are across the whole menu for a takeout spot with no dine-in seating. I ordered the cheesy garlic sticks and they pleasantly tasty and beautifully presented. But charging $15 and having me wait 20 mins after being told they would take 5 mins is just unexceptional. Also saw the burger sizes for others ordered and $20 for a burger with no fries makes no sense for a place like this.

The service is so nice. A great spot before a game or event at crypto. The pizza is sooo yummy. I love the crust. They serve Santa Monica Brew Works beer and I lovveee it. I got the guava pina sour but they have their classic beers on tap. We sat on the patio. Such a quick walk to crypto after.

As a fan of the Emmy Squared at Santa Monica Brew works, I was excited to see a new location open in downtime! It's a great location for a casual lunch during work or a bite before a game or concert. The pizza is on the pricier side but the portions are pretty large and can probably feed 2 people. It's dense Detroit style pizza and the staff was very friendly! They also have SM beers available.

I was pretty stoked to see this place opening up one night when I was attending a show at the Novo, so when it finally opened I knew I needed to come and see what this place was about. Emmy Squared Pizza is a pretty huge pizza shop located at the entrance of the Crypto.com restaurant area (I think it has a name, but who knows). When you walk into this place there is a huge counter where you can order, or you can take a seat at one of the tables, scan the barcode, and order right from the table which is exactly what we did. We settled on ordering a classic red sauce and mozzarella pizza as well as an order of the Zia fries which is a double order of french fries mixed in with some zia pimento cheese, scallions, bacon, and ranch. One thing I have to give kudos for is that as a note on the order, I asked for lightly baked crust so it would be on the softer side and one of the employees came to double check with me and they did exactly what I asked! When the pizza came out it was perfect for me. The cheese and sauce tasted pretty good while the dough was on the lighter side and had some great taste. The Zia fries that we had on the side were top notch as well. The french fries were crispy and the nacho like consistency of the whole thing was really tasty. Overall, Emmy Squared Pizza gets a win in my book. Although it wasn't the best thick style pizza I've ever had, they made me a solid pizza and listened to exactly what I wanted. The staff here was friendly and although I had to stand at the counter for 5 minutes for a water cup, things happen and I eventually did get it. Will I be back here? Definitely! It's the perfect place to stop before a show or a Lakers game!

Very convenient right at LA Live

First time trying I work nearby. update after going I think about five times now I have to admit I like this Pizza more than I would like to admit I'm a thin crust guy. The sauce on the bread is wonderful and the bread is fresh and the pepperoni has an awesome curl. I've never been to Chicago, but I think this must be a pretty good example of some great pizza I live in little Italy Los Angeles/San Pedro with some of the best pizza and Italian restaurants around and this is delicious single slice nine dollars. They have lunch specials two slices for $15 and I can't wait to try the Burger great service very clean and inviting atmosphere and they have a Patio with LA live Security nearby so no nonsense :-)

Decent spot to hang out before the game! Beers def cheaper than the price tags at the crypto arena. Burger and waffle fries were tasty. The burger was juicy and smothered with sammy sauce. We also tried the colony pizza, which was slightly soggy but still good. They dont serve hard liquor if you're looking for a full bar but they do have tvs!

Tiny $9 slice in a small box... What a joke!

Had a long layover in LA after my flight to San Francisco got canceled, so instead of sitting at…read morethe airport for 6+ hours, I decided to finally check out Pine & Crane in DTLA. It's been sitting on my saved list for a while, and honestly, this turned out to be the perfect opportunity. The space itself is bright, clean, and welcoming with warm woody tones throughout. Casual setup where you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I had already looked through the menu beforehand, so the real challenge was narrowing down what to order for one person. I failed at that... and I'm very happy I did. Started with the Pig Ear Salad 滷豬耳朵. Braised thin sliced pig ears dressed with soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, scallion, and cilantro. OMG. So good. Tender, flavorful, perfectly braised, with that satisfying chewy texture done right. Also got the Fried Peanut Salad 五味花生 with garlic, cilantro, scallions, vinegar, and Thai chili. Super crunchy, bright, refreshing, and honestly addicting. I added a cup of the Hot & Sour Soup 酸辣湯 too. Organic tofu, beech mushroom, carrot, bamboo, woodear mushroom, and egg. Super comforting with a really balanced tang and peppery heat. Not overly thick or heavy like a lot of Americanized versions can be. Exactly the kind of soup you want during a long travel day. For noodles, I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles 擔擔麵. Sesame-peanut sauce, cucumber, cilantro, crushed peanuts. Delicious on its own already, but I ended up adding some of the fried peanuts from the salad into the noodles and it became even better. Then the Three Cup Chicken 三杯雞 with sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine, and Thai basil. I do wish it had a little more wok hei, but overall the flavor was still really comforting and savory. Extremely good with rice. Had a glass of Gewürztraminer alongside everything, which paired surprisingly well with the spice and aromatics. Their wine list leans more organic / natural wine focused, which felt very LA in a good way. Ended up sitting at a high top next to one of the managers and had a great conversation throughout the meal. She ended up hooking me up with the Traditional Shaved Ice 傳統刨冰 with grass jelly, red bean, boba, sweet potato balls, taro balls, brown sugar syrup, and condensed milk. I was already planning to order it anyway, and wow... I finished the entire thing. The brown sugar syrup was incredibly fragrant. Packed the leftovers to-go, and that ended up becoming my dinner after landing in San Francisco later that evening. Flight cancellation somehow turned into a really great food day.

I particularly liked their brown sugar milk team as it comes with boba and grass jelly. And their mochi was SO delicious. This would be a place my parents would enjoy a lot. PARKING It's in downtown LA so parking can be tough. There are plenty of paid parking structures nearby. WOULD I COME BACK? YES!

We reserved a table for a party of 6 on a quiet Tuesday afternoon for a quick birthday lunch. Our server was kind and attentive and the food came fairly quickly. Citron Roll: 5/5 Stuffed with spicy tuna and topped with seared albacore, lemon, and serrano peppers, the acidity of the lemon brought a refreshing twist to the roll by cutting through the richness of the fish. As a result, the spicy tuna inside did not feel too heavy and it made the dish taste very vibrant and fresh. Pacific Roll: 5/5 Topped with sliced jalapeno and Yellowtail, the Pacific roll has a unique filling of Yellowtail, cucumber, and cilantro. The jalapeno brings a delicate heat to the dish while the cucumber adds a crunchy texture to the filling. The star of the show is the cilantro, which elevates the roll by adding a fresh and citrusy punch and complements very well with the fattiness of the Yellowtail. Bento Box A: 5/5 Part of their lunch special menu, we had chosen the 4 pc sushi, chicken gyoza and vegetable curry for the bento box. It came with a side of miso soup as well as some sunomono and salad mix for $22.00. This is a perfect lunch option as the portion sizes are great for the price and you get to try a variety of different foods. The nigiri was fresh and you can taste the quality of the fish from its tenderness. As for the other items, the gyoza was super crispy and the vegetable curry was so flavorful with a slight aromatic kick of spice.
