The food was amazing very delicious sandwiches and fettuccine pasta. We tried the chicken and turkey sandwiches. They do everything by order so it does take a bit of time but was worth the wait. Pizza is fantastic but the "Greek" salad was a pile of lettuce decorated with scant itsy bitsy olives, nearly invisible cheese, some dressing, but the tomatoes were decent. Pizza was terrible. It's like 80% bread puff up with the a minisucle layer of sauce and lower grade cheese sitting in a pizza oven. This was the first time in my life refusing pizza. I asked to pay the difference for a gyro which the guy had an attitude - then got the gyro. No tsaziski sauce, the meat was rather firm like staight up sausage slices, and it had... russian dressing? The sweetness of the dressing tossed the whole thing off. I'm suprised this place is still in business after opening in 1984. People in LA must really be desperate for food. this place changed ownership. we used to get the pizzas from here whenever we went to downtown. they were absolutely wonderful. but we haven't gone to downtown in a while. today we were in downtown and so ordered two pizzas and two chicken kabob plates to take out and they were horrible. Pizza had no taste and like cardboard, the kabobs had no taste either and they were kind of burnt. sooo sad. looks like these guys bought the place from the previous owners but unfortunately didn't pick up their recipes. i am deleting them from my contact list. one thing though, they are pleasant and brought the pizzas over to the car. read more

This place is not only a pizza place. They have great salads and lunch plates! They serve big portions and awesome sandwiches. There was one time that I was looking for a vegetarian option and they made it for me even if it was not in the menu. I usually order for delivery and service is always good. This is a small family owned business. They use to have a nice restaurant across the street in st Vincent court till about a year ago. They closed that down and are running this small location. The food is amazing. They have the best doner kebab in LA and the best chicken soup. I try to have one or the other as often as I can. You've gotta remember this is a small family owned establishment so you might not get what's always on the menu, but ask for recommendations and you can't go wrong. This is my go to spot for lunch since I work in DT. Appearance might not be the best but quality and service are top notch. read more

The crust was kind of interesting: medium thickness, kind of a pastry crunchiness to it. Sauce was flavorless. Cheese was flavorless. Pepperoni was... forgettable. Tiny inside the place, maybe four seats inside and ten seats outside. Great sidewalk/people-watching action. Oh yeah, great view of another hole-in-the-wall pizza place directly across the street! Super cheap. Like under $5 for a slice and a drink. But, with all the other pizza options within walking distance of this place... I doubt I'd ever go back to Corleone. read more

I saw the chalkboard sign: "Large 18" pizza $11.99 + tax" and waltzed in. With tax, the pizzas are actually $13 and with one topping only. Want additional toppings? Nice and cheesy with a good amount of pepperoni. The dough is pretty fluffy and overall, the pizza tastes good. I enjoy really cheesy and chewy pizzas and likened the dough at Corleone to Costco's. I haven't been to aaall of the pizza places downtown but for now I believe this is the cheapest non-chain pizza place in dtla. This place was not good. Frankly pretty horrible. A work buddy of mine decided to try a new place and boy were were sorry we tried this place. The place is a bit run down, but I wouldn't have minded that if the grub was any good. We didn't see any slices that looked like we wanted them, so we decided to just get a whole pepperoni pizza. What we got was something that was both greasy and gummy at the same time. The crust had a very thin crispy layer on the bottom, but the rest of it, which was thicker than I would have wanted, composed a soft and gummy layer. So the crust sucked. The rest of the components (sauce, cheese, pepperoni) were uninspiring as well. In fact, the pepperoni rendered off so much fat, there were huge pools of it that we needed to mop up with napkins, each of which came away soaked from shiny, vaguely orange-red grease. The seating is practically non-existant so my friend and I sat at one of the few table, located just outside the door, so we displayed our folly for all the numerous passersby. Not one of them looked envious that we were about to tuck into a whole large pizza. A meal has to be pretty bad for me to not want to finish it, but there was just no way. I liked this place. Spent $5 total for two slices of pizza. I had the mushroom, which was delicious and filling and my guy had the pepperoni. The staff was friendly and we got there right before it filled up so we got an amazing view outside at one of the tables. Two thumbs up for the people watching. I'll definetly be back. My absolute favorite pizza place! Whether it be for just one delicious slice or a full pizza to share. The only down part of Corleone is the fact that it's in downtown and it's hard to find parking, so if you're picking up, have somebody drop you off in front, go around a block or two and scoop you back up. I came here because they recommend the pizza when it was my turn to order I asked for cheese slice guy attending the shop with a hard attitude said there is no cheese pizza I asked if they were gonna make some more and with same bad attitude he said no. I was at an event in Downtown with a friend and her family and we were looking for something we and the kids could both eat. We were wandering around the streets pre-event and Corleone Pizza caught my eye. We went over and got a cheese pizza and a few drinks for us and the kids. The service was helpful and the owner as personable. They close early (about 7pm) but everything in Downtown seemed to close about then. We got the pizza to go and ate it up at Pershing Square before the Light Saber Battle. The pizza was tasty, very fresh as it just came out of the oven as we took it. They also serve by the slice. My theory is if they can make a plain cheese pizza taste good I'll back the pizzeria. Got to have the basics down to make good anything else. read more

I was on my way to Garage pizza and my gf said no you should try a new place so I tried this place because I always pass by and it looks crowded so I thought people liked it. It has an Italian name but it's not Italian pizza it's run by Mexicans and I'm Mexican we don't make good pizza. Simple as that. I don't mind that it's run down but the texture of the crust is what grossed me out. Plus it had soaked in some grease toward the crust so it turned it orange. Yes, this place is small and crowded (with only stools on the inside and about three 2-people tables outside), but their pizza is delicious! First off, the slices are HUGE, so you can get pretty full with one slice. Their crust is wonderful (crunchy but soft at the same time) and although the sauce is not very tasteful, the cheese makes up for it. It is best to order a slice right when it comes out the oven... however, this pizza is pretty darn good, even if you microwave it later (which not a lot of pizza places can say about their pizza...). If you're in the downtown area, I recommend you grab a slice, or take some to go! read more

Rude & Disrespectful Staff !!!!! DAY OLD PIZZA I went in there with my nephew and ordered 2 slices, one cheese and one pepperoni. The cheese was for my nephew and it was pretty good, nice and fresh. The pepperoni was without a doubt, from the day before. Both the cook and the cashier were extremely argumentative over this when I confronted them. I am Italian from Boston and can tell you that where I come from, there is a pizza shop on every corner. My Sicilian mother also made pizza all my life. With that said, I know what left-over pizza is! I have had my share of it over the past 48 years. They were caught off guard and confronted on this and handled it the way one might expect an employee that has absolutely no regard for a business that they did not have anything to do with its creation. This is unfortunately too bad for the owner and at the same time, the owners responsibility. When I informed them of my intentions of leaving a review on Yelp, the cook looked at me an shrugged his shoulders and then turned away.
