Although I'm usually a creature of habit when time is of the essence, plus trying new spots isn't my strong suit when I'm really hungry. I'm low-key mad I slept on this place. It was walking distance from my job which was convenient. I grabbed a BBQ chicken slice ($5.50) and the 6-piece garlic knots with marinara ($4.50). Both were super solid. The slice was big, flavorful and tasted fresh, and the garlic knots were warm, garlicky, and perfect for dipping. Simple, yet satisfying. I haven't dined in yet, but despite the area, the space is clean, modern, and inviting--which deserves its own shoutout. We stopped by this place after perusing the Fashion District and on the way back to our car. We are visiting from Hawaii but my brother lives here and wanted to stop for pizza. He said Joe's is good but never went to this location. I ordered a slice of caprese. i'm not a huge fan of thin crust but this was perfectly done and the cheese was absolutely delicious with a crust that didn't taste burnt. My brother ordered a whole pie just for himself! That's how much he loves Joe's! I don't think I'd ever come to this location as it's pretty seedy but if I'm ever back in town, I'd definitely go to one of the other locations. read more

I decided to give this location another chance after a previous bad experience, but this was even worse. My pizza arrived with the safety seal fully intact, so I know it wasn't the driver it was the store. The pizza had a hole in one slice, hair on another, and was poorly made, missing cheese, sauce, and pepperoni in several areas. It looked tampered with and completely unappetizing. After trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, this experience proved they don't care about quality or customer satisfaction. Absolutely unacceptable. Looking for a decent slice of pizza? This one's good. Trust me, I had terrible slices recently for the same price so I recommend Joe's over others. I tasted a cheese slice here at Joe's and it has flavor. The service was good. They weren't busy so it was fairly quick to heat up our slices. That's always the litmus test of a pizza...if they can do the cheese right, they go on the "good list." Joe's is definitely on my good list. The sauce and cheese ratio is perfect. The crust is exactly as thin and crispy as it should be as if you picked it up in any slice shop in the original 5 boroughs. There's a ton of pizza in L.A. A good percentage of it is great pizza...a smaller percentage of it, despite how it's labeled, is actual, real NYC style pizza. Joe's is one of those places. They've got locations strategically throughout Los Angeles, so if there's a pizza emergency, you might be in good shape. (Please open a spot in Santa Clarita, Joe's...please.) I have never complained on yelp before I downloaded this app just to come here and warn people about joes pizza. Only reason I went is cause my friend Joe eats pizza here, I ordered a chicken parm sandwich & a Cesar salad 3 weeks ago and I still get upset when I think about it. The chicken in the parmesan sandwich was gamey and old bad meat and then the salad was super salty and fishy taste confused me since there isn't fish at a pizza spot but then I looked it up and Cesar dressing might have anchovies so if that's not your preference don't eat salad here other places I have never noticed it but here you will, they charged me $32 for the sandwich and salad and took about 50 min to make it I'm not sure why. read more
