Like many independent soda companies, Empire Bottling Works appears to have no idea what carbonation is.

I simply love this place. They use real cane sugar as their sweetener which puts them a cut above almost everybody else.

Heading home from a stop in East Providence, always wanted to try this restaurant since I was…read moreunable to get to Eli's Kitchen when it was open. Anyways, enjoyed my lunch. Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.

This is a unique European cafe in the cutest part of Bristol, on a fun busy street near other local shops. Everything I tried on the menu was absolutely amazing! I got an iced pumpkin latte and it was a perfect boost to my morning with a subtle and smooth pumpkin flavor just in time for fall. The Pear Pancake special was perfect for sharing and was sweet and delicate. The service was quick and friendly. I'll be back again this weekend! The decor is bright and fresh, a wonderful spot for a sit down or grab n go.

This is convenient for people of Bristol to have an option besides Stop & Shop and without having to travel to Fall River/Swansea/Target to a big box or other grocery store. Their parking lot is easy to access with lots of space. This store is very clean and feels high end - I would consider this more of a luxury market, almost as if you had a combo of Whole Foods and Highland Park Market (a small local chain in Connecticut). There were a nice amount of unique local offerings I hadn't even heard of before - salt water taffy, chocolates, bulk frozen soups from Blount, etc. There are fresh options like a sushi bar and a small coffee area in the front. The big selling point of this store are those unique offerings, and the best bang for your buck are things they make fresh, breads, desserts, etc. I LOVE their fresh popped flavored popcorn and always have to grab some - just do it!!! Other than those standout features, I can't see myself shopping here regularly if not for those specific items, unless I really didn't want to travel far. It's a smaller store with less selection. Pricing is well above other similar stores - the mark up on a pantry item I picked up was double the price of the exact same thing at Target. Even their "sale" prices don't seem that good of a deal in most cases. They advertise a senior discount on Wednesdays. Self check out and cashiers are set up, but only self check out was open at 8 pm. There's a nice upscale feel here, although staff wasn't helpful in the evening hours when I went, which you would expect more of from this type of experience based store. For basics and pantry staples, you'll find a better deal elsewhere....but honestly, it's still worth a trip just for the popcorn.

They had cookies and tarts that looked incredible (definitely going back to try those ), but we went for the classic vegan hot dog and it was so satisfying. Super flavorful, generously loaded with sauces, and that perfect crunch in every bite. It had that nostalgic street-food feel while being completely plant-based. After trying them at the fest, we're definitely planning a visit to their restaurant to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in Rhode Island and looking for creative, delicious plant-based food. There was zero interest or flavor and that she missed Basil & Bunny's crunch wrap. She is right. Basil & Bunny has so many great and delicious options that don't make me feel like our dietary restrictions are an afterthought. We don't have to eat uber bland and entirely green. If you want a fast food burger this is not the place. Your food won't come out in under a minute, but the staff is pleasant and friendly and the decor is fun. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and it isn't unusual to see a well behaved dog sitting under one of the tables outside.
