I stumbled upon one of the cutest homemade pasta shops walking around Warren, RI. The place looked like it could have came out of an authentic Italian magazine - welcoming, bright, and airy inside. It was a great location for a stroll and surrounded amongst other local coffee shops, icecream shops, and local businesses. One of the local baristas in the area recommended this place and I'm so glad I went! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on all of their products. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they were so busy they sold out on the bolognese ravioli that seemed to be a big hit amongst all of their customers - I WILL be back for this! However they had plenty of other homemade pastas available like linguine, bucatini, and tagliatelle. The pastas are all homage and they also have gelato. The Olive bread is incredible!!!! The homemade pasta is so delicious as well as they're tomato sauce and cheeses. Parking can be a challenge but just park on the street and you'll be fine. Its a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend without reservation!! read more

Wow this place is adorable! The offer of fresh pasta as well as some pantry items and cheese was so enticing. The store is small but well laid out. I purchased the bucatini, ravioli, and rigatoni. I've eaten two of the three so far and they do not disappoint. The person behind the counter wrote each shape and cooking time on the box which was extremely helpful! Hell ya! Five stars all the way!! This local pasta shop is absolutely amazing! My husband and I were totally blown away with how delicious their Corn Ravioli was!! It was prepared with Mascarpone, Parmigiano Reggiano and Fresh Basil. So full of flavor and FRESH! I topped the Ravioli with one of their Alfredo sauces and it too was very yummy! Online ordering is so easy and they notify you as soon as it's ready for pick up. The choices in the pantry are just delicious! I have made a olive , artichoke with roasted yellow pepper pizza! Of course with there own fresh pizza dough. Oh yes! It's truly yummy. There always pleasant and chatty when you pick up in store even during this unfortunate COVID time. What a find! Of you like fresh pasta, this is your place. I have been there a couple of times now and have tried a couple of different pastas and they have all been excellent. I grabbed the Alfredo they had and that was great too. I have also grabbed a couple of desserts and the cannoli was really good. I can't wait for them to reopen for inside visits. During COVID they are doing online orders so I haven't been able to get the full experience of being in the store. What I have seen from the sidewalk simply makes we want to go inside. When you finally enter the small shop you are engulfed in the herb smell from the FOCACCIA being freshly baked l. The environment is bright and beautiful with plants near the big historic shop windows. There is an assortment of Italian delicacies. (Sauces, pestos, oils, crackers,cheeses, sodas, and other assortments of Italian ingredients.) There is an assortment of different types of pastas to pick from to order by the pound. I went in yesterday and was a bit disappointed. The pasta for the price has no taste. I purchased 2lbs of linguine. The linguine was super spongy after cooking. It made for a disappointing dinner. I would recommend to also have boxes big enough to hold 2lbs. Of pasta for a customer to take home. The bread was so greasy the paper bag broke. I MEAN IT! Damn its good.. While you're there pick up a -fresh out of the oven- Focaccia bread . It is awesome! you will forget your inhibitions and scream MORE as you devour the whole thing with your partner...IF she says "please" and "yes master can I have another" than of coarse you share it... how could you not share something so friggin good. When your done with that coarse then you move to the house made, purest most delicious Gelato that even the Italians are jealous of. When I go, I buy a few of them for the near future... and they don't sit long.. I hesitate writing this because a lot of this is sold out before I can get there... but the word is out already and if you call ahead they will give you a "Reach Around" and put some aside for you.... Came as a recommendation and we've been a couple times. The last pasta we picked up were some totally epic bucatini nests (the little bundles that are, probably a 100g single-person portion or so). I've been inspired to start making my own pasta, but it might take me years and 10-20 lbs to get near as good. The pasta assortment--and the ravioli/tortellini innards--changes. But wait...the cannoli. I'm not really even a cannoli fan...I'm sort of take it or leave it. But then again, I'd never before had a chance to watch the hand-piped filling of the cannoli shell and then gotten to immediate eat a fresh espresso cannoli before. Really, really good...and we're really, really gonna go back for more....of all of the above. Oh, and there's also lots of sauces and other premium-looking cooking fare and jars of magical-looking sauces and stuff that I'm looking forward to checking out in future visits. read more

What a treasure! I stopped in for the first time this week and I absolutely loved it. It's a tiny shop - they offer fresh cheeses, a wide variety of fresh pastas, homemade gelato, specialty pantry items, and more. I picked up the herbed cheese ravioli, a pint of their chocolate gelato, and a few sfogliatella. The ravioli was truly the best I've ever had, with a sfogliatella for dessert, I was in heaven that night - so delicious! I haven't dug into the gelato yet, but I have no doubt it will be amazing. On top of everything, the individuals working there were so friendly and helpful and you could see them making the pasta behind the counter, doesn't get much more fresh than that! If you've never had fresh pasta, you owe it to yourself to try Prica Farina. You'll never eat frozen or dried pasta again. If you like pasta, then it just doesn't get any better than this. We eat pasta all the time, and thought we had found some pretty good things (such as Alfredo's) to make at home. Then we tried Prica Farina. You can't believe the difference between their fresh, hand-made pasta and anything frozen or dried. It is absolutely *AMAZING*. The flavors are so much richer, so much more complex. It's almost as if it's not even the same food. Their linguine is now a staple in our refrigerator, as are their special raviolis (such as mozzarella, tomato, and prosciutto). We plan to try everything they make. Fresh pasta is a little more expensive than the frozen or dried kind, and you have to eat it within a few days while it's fresh (or freeze it), but it is so worth it! It's one of those little affordable luxurious that anyone who likes pasta should treat themselves to. The people who run the shop couldn't be nicer. They hand-write on each box the cooking instructions and what's inside. They are a wealth of knowledge of how to prepare the pastas in complete dishes. The store also has all kinds of other delicious treats. Most recently we tried their pecorino romano cheese which they import from Italy, and OMG, it's the best we've ever had! If you think romano cheese is all crumbled powder to sprinkle on pizza, wait until you try this - it's a fabulous table cheese, we had it for dinner last night. The chocolate covered expresso beans are also a delicious sweet treat. Shopping at Prica Farina is like being in Italy. What a beautiful addition to downtown Warren! This shop is the real deal. They make handcrafted pastas, both cut and filled, on site and boy, are they beautiful! Today we opted to try the durum spaghetti and the spicy radiatore. We cooked both up for dinner; the kids had the spaghetti with a nice tomato sauce, and I cooked up the radiatore with some garlic broccoli rabe. So delicious! There are so many varieties that I can't wait to try, including the herbed Narragansett ricotta ravioli. The owner seems keen on using seasonal ingredients to make the best-tasting products possible, which is awesome. They also carry a variety of nice cheese and imported products. Just visited Prica Farina for first time. What a wonderful addition to the East Bay! The owners are wonderful people. We bought superb fresh pastas - rigatoni and raviolis. The cheese ravioli was so rich it melted in our mouths. Just a bit of olive oil and sprinkle of cheese made it complete main course. Bet pasta we have had since moving to Rhode Island 22 years ago. We will be back again and again. When you visit the store it is on the corner of Market and Main (114) in Warren. The awning has the name Prica Farina but it is a busy corner and you have to search it out. Well worth the effort. Enjoy!!! read more

They let us try some cheeses (which were some of the best I've ever had) and their prices are super reasonable for the fact that all the pasta is made in house. Grew up running around the North End of Boston. This shop would fit right in. I also enjoy when a craftsman tells me how I can best use what they create.
