Update on my first review. Have eaten here many time since, dine in and take out and the food has been good each time. They no longer have the buffet which is not a problem for me. I prefer freshly made food over food that sits out for awhile with multiple people eating from it. The service is always prompt and friendly. I did hear the lady next to us complain that she received white rice when she requested fried rice with her meal, but I haven't had any issues and will continue to come back.

I don't expect much from buffets in general, this one was actually pretty decent. Selection is not huge but it was enough and food tasted good. I love shrimp and loved that they had at least four different shrimp dishes to choose from, huge plus for me. They keep an eye on the buffet and refilled food a little at a time with a fresh batch. They don't bring out a new huge tray of food to let it sit until it's gone. Adding a little bit more of a selection to desserts would be nice. Over all I'd go back.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a charming cat statue at the entrance, which instantly sets a fun and welcoming tone. We ordered the korean style Short Ribs and Pad Thai Noodles. Let me just say the short ribs were absolutely delicious. Perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, I kept repeating how good they were no notes, just a flawless, traditional short ribs experience. The Pad Thai was okay at first, with a smaller portion than expected. We asked for a remake, and the second portion was much better. It was still on the lighter side, but the flavors were spot on authentic and satisfying. A squeeze of lemon elevated the dish beautifully! The space was clean and nicely maintained. There were a few flies, but the staff explained it was due to a recent wedding event that had kept the doors open. And honestly, I could see why someone would choose this venue for an intimate wedding the surroundings are beautiful, with lovely outdoor seats that add to the experience. It's casual, but the atmosphere has something special while surrounded by nature. I'd say this place is perfect for a daytime visit, especially to enjoy the sunshine and soak in the peaceful ambiance of the Texas Corners area. The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to explain the menu and give us thoughtful recommendations. There's even a cute corner fridge where you can grab drinks, ice cream and desserts , a nod to the restaurant's origin as part of an Asian grocery store. Now, it's blossomed into its own standalone restaurant branch, and it really shows in the care they put into everything. I'll definitely be coming back. I loved the vibes, the natural light, and of course the amazing food. Next time, I'm definitely trying their bubble tea. It looked so good, and almost every table around us had one!

The owner or manager lady has a great sense of humor and is very happy to guide you in your selections. I tried soju for the first time. (Mostly neutral spirit that is often flavored) I ordered pineapple and it is served in 375 ml bottles! Fortunately they can tape the bottle up if you can't drink it all there so you can enjoy the rest at home. My husband got the mango sake colada and loved it. Main entrees were Thai basil stir fry with shrimp and chicken combo and the duck breast served over noodles (pho). Both dishes were very good. Basil stir fry was a bit salty. Duck was tender and broth was delicious! They had a lot of yummy desserts but we didn't have any room. I would not hesitate to return if I lived in the area.

Whenever I'm out of town, I ALWAYS look for a Korean restaurant, and as luck would have it, there are a few in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Yay!! Only thing wrong with my search, two of the three were closing in ten minutes and the third was advertised as Fried Chicken. I was 15 minutes away, so I gave in for the chicken, with fingers crossed that they'd have other popular dish options. Beautiful little restaurant when you arrive, very clean too. Immediately greeted and asked if to-go or dine-in, as they have a good counter for food delivery services. I of course opted to dine-in since I had about an hour til closing. Really nice looking menu, with plenty of selections beyond Fried Chicken. I didn't hesitate too long as to expedite my meal before closing. I ordered Pork Pot Stickers (Yakimandu), JapChae, and some Bulgogi. PanChan was extra, and the Kimchi along with Pickled Radish were my selection. The Yakimandu arrived first, nicely plated with half So Garlic Sauce and half Spicy Sauce. The mandi were delicious with these brushed sauces. That Spicy was no joke either, had a really good burning kick. The remainder of the meal was brought out together. The plates looked great and I couldn't wait to dig in, but if course pictures first. Both were super delicious and really hitting the spot after a long day. Very tasty meals. The staff brought me out a dessert after seeing me take all the photos, something I've never had, Deep Fried Cheesecake. Check out the photos. Definitely a different take on the dessert. Everything outside was crispy, of course, with the inside still the same. It was a texture experience. The staff were super friendly, very well knowledged on the menu items. Place was very clean, not just clean, but very clean! I think they said they've been there just over a year. I was served by Freda, and Caroline was there to assist when needed. The hostess was a real sweetheart, I'll call hers "Zaps" (because she had the TV remote at closing and I missed her real name). Young masked gentleman, again missed name, and one of the owners Kenny and his wife Lin. So good, I will be eating lunch and/or dinner there again tomorrow or Monday depending on time. I definitely want to try the Fried Chicken, probably not with the Spicy Sauce this time. LOL I do highly recommend you try this place if you haven't.

We love Hunan!!…read more We've had so many solid experiences here and everything we've tried has been excellent!! We've gotten our whole family on to loving this spot! A few favorites: house crispy chicken, moo shu beef, egg rolls, wonton soup, and sweet and sour soup, amongst others!! :) After being seated you are greeted with a pot of yummy hot tea and "crispies" with dip, included with your meal! LOVE this perk!! Adding a soup to your entree is highly recommended, their soups are so, so good!! We love both the egg rolls and the crab meat Rangoons - it's hard to choose!! The egg rolls come out so fresh and hot you can't even eat it right away - love this so much!! We've had many of their entrees over the years and everything has been very good! They are consistent so you know what to expect and it keeps us coming back to try something new! They'd set up a loooong table for us to all sit together and we would be here for hours. It was so much fun. The staff is so friendly. Their kids were kids when we were there and they enjoyed playing around the restaurant while their parents were working. It was great. Their egg rolls are my favorite. They're just cabbage I believe and I have no problems with that. The egg drop soup is also good. I remember all of my family members loving the soup. They also have chicken wings that are my favorite. They used to come in an order of 4 now I think there might only be 3 in an order, I could be wrong. It's a whole wing, drum and flat. They're fantastic. They are sticky and sort of sweet, almost have an orange taste to them. I am a huge fan. My favorite entree's are either beef and broccoli, kung pow chicken, mongolian beef, chicken in hoisin sauce or spicy fragrant pork. You can always tell them if you want any of them spicy or even really spicy. They can take the normal recipe and kick it up a level or two of spice for you, we usually do this. The building has been here for quite some time. I can agree with most of the complainers that the building is not as clean as it possibly could be. But they're doing something right because they pass health inspections. They do charge you a fee to use a credit card. I can't really blame them for that since they're being charged to have one. Be a good person and just pay with cash! Cash is king! Right!? So look past all of the haters and give Hong Kong your business. It's a great to go option on your way through town from work.
