Take out has always been made fresh and not off the buffet. Pepper streak and Sweet & Sour chicken combos are delicious.

Potatoes and carrots were slightly under cooked and too crunchy for my liking. Shanghai noodles were yummy. Pan fried dumplings were large and tasted great. The dipping sauce needed a little vinegar but the ginger and scallion made up for it. Definitely would stop by again if my travels brought me back to town.

Our new go-to Chinese spot!!…read more This spot is off the beaten path but worth the extra to stop in and try!! Our pupper's groomer is in this plaza complex and so we recently took notice and are so glad we did! On our first visit I didn't think to get pictures but it was a fun visit with a great introduction to the amazingly unique foods they offer at Z&W! This restaurant offers many of the what they call "old fashioned meals" on their menu - orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour, etc... but they also offer an "Authentic Sichuan menu"! During the first visit we had no idea what to get so we asked our waiter for suggestions and guidance! We wanted to try something off of the authentic menu but had no idea what to choose! He was terrific in helping us understand what was popular and what things we might like! There is also a book on each table with pictures of the each of the menu items! AMAZING IDEA!!! We ended up ordering the Dry Chili Beef and the Kingpao Sichuan chicken. Both were delicious but VERY spicy! For me personally, next time I go with a spicy dish (it was indicated as spicy on the menu, the waiter did explain) I need to ask them to tone down the spice level for my palate! Each of the authentic menu items comes with white rice, fried rice is available for an additional cost. These items do not include a side. The star of the visit was the appetizer of crab meat rangoons! WHOA!!! They are huge and fresh and SO stinking tasty! Ours came out so hot that the fresh, crispy shell burned my lip a little bit - but in a good way! I can't remember the last time I had Chinese food that was SO fresh!! Definitely consider ordering the rangoons!! Our second visit we decided to try the old fashioned menu - we ordered the orange chicken and the General Tao's chicken. These dishes come with rice AND a side! If you choose rangoons for the side you get TWO!!! Totally my choice as I already knew from my first visit that they were next level!! My husband ordered the egg roll which was actually crazy delicious!! It's a difficult decision! You can also choose soup in place of either of those options! We added a side of hot and sour soup to share which tasted very authentic and delicious! This spot is so cute and the staff is SO very friendly with warm, welcoming service! This is definitely a great place to grab lunch or dinner and we can't wait to get back to try out more of their highly delectable menu items!

We love Hunan!!…read more We've had so many solid experiences here and everything we've tried has been excellent!! We've gotten our whole family on to loving this spot! A few favorites: house crispy chicken, moo shu beef, egg rolls, wonton soup, and sweet and sour soup, amongst others!! :) After being seated you are greeted with a pot of yummy hot tea and "crispies" with dip, included with your meal! LOVE this perk!! Adding a soup to your entree is highly recommended, their soups are so, so good!! We love both the egg rolls and the crab meat Rangoons - it's hard to choose!! The egg rolls come out so fresh and hot you can't even eat it right away - love this so much!! We've had many of their entrees over the years and everything has been very good! They are consistent so you know what to expect and it keeps us coming back to try something new! Taste of Asia has food from several Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam & Laos. When we arrived we met Lena the very charming & helpful owner from Laos. She gave us a brief rundown on some of the food items available on their menu. I see my fellow Yelper formerly from Chicago Leang has also been here. I guess foodies find good food no matter where you live or travel to lol We started w/an order of shrimp spring rolls that came w/4 spring rolls loaded w/fresh lettuce, bean sprouts & shrimp. * Issan Pad Ga Pow - Ground Chicken w/Thai Basil, onion, jalapeño w/jasmine rice ball in the center & a crispy fried egg on top of the rice perfectly cooked w/a nice gooey egg yolk on top of the jasmine rice (Excellent Dish) our favorite * Pad See Ew - Thick rice noodles w/beef, Chinese broccoli & egg w/soy sauce w/a sweetness * Larb V - season minced meat, lime juice, patise, cilantro, bean sprouts & sliced cucumbers. Very good but a tad too salty for our taste. So many times when restaurants try to cook a variety of different Asian dishes from multiple countries you end up w/a variety of mediocre dishes. This wasn't the case w/Taste of Asian where each dish had its own unique blend of seasonings that made it unique to the country being represented. Our host Lena was very helpful in helping us choose our dishes. The young girl (probably her daughter came out to check on our needs several times). Her 4 year old son was tasked with bringing out a sticky rice ball wrapped to each table. I asked him how many girlfriends he had he held out his hand w/4 fingers. He better not get any older or he'll be in trouble w/1 girl for every year lol Great food, great service w/a nice choice of options in terms of the dishes to choose from.

Ordered crab Rangoon, 4 pieces, 2 chicken only spring rolls, chicken satay, drunken noodles with chicken and added garlic, Khao pad ga prow with chicken and added veggies, spicy. $58.16 Can't get steamed tofu here, only fried. The crab Rangoon wonton wrapper is thick, too thick and heavy. The creamed cheese inside has an odd texture and leaves an unpleasant after taste, not what I expected, super sweet. Color looks odd. The whole thing is off and doesn't taste right. The dipping sauce is not quite duck sauce or what I expected either. I have a feeling today's lunch will be interesting. I am hopeful the rest of the apps and meal goes better than the first starter. The chicken satay is super dry. The peanut sauce is thick as heck. The spring roll had some older lettuce, not great. The sauce was not peanut sauce, just topped with peanuts was all. The fried rice is meh, nothing special. The main dishes aren't big portions. The drunken noodles aren't too bad, small portion, which is fine. The drunken noodle was the best part of the meal, that's not a good thing. Service and most of the apps and food leaves much to be desired.

There were a variety of dishes, in both spicy and non-spicy. There were my favorite, crabmeat rangoons, although the first batch was cold. Luckily, the waiter came out and loaded more in, and most of the other entree dishes were refreshed while we were there. There are two kinds of soup, and a wide array of dessert options, if you're still hungry. Is it the best Chinese around? I'd head to Hunan Gardens, in Kalamazoo, for that. But for a buffet 20 minutes up the road, this is a good option, especially if you're looking for diverse eats. The hot tea was yummy. The service was unobtrusive and kind.

They'd set up a loooong table for us to all sit together and we would be here for hours. It was so much fun. The staff is so friendly. Their kids were kids when we were there and they enjoyed playing around the restaurant while their parents were working. It was great. Their egg rolls are my favorite. They're just cabbage I believe and I have no problems with that. The egg drop soup is also good. I remember all of my family members loving the soup. They also have chicken wings that are my favorite. They used to come in an order of 4 now I think there might only be 3 in an order, I could be wrong. It's a whole wing, drum and flat. They're fantastic. They are sticky and sort of sweet, almost have an orange taste to them. I am a huge fan. My favorite entree's are either beef and broccoli, kung pow chicken, mongolian beef, chicken in hoisin sauce or spicy fragrant pork. You can always tell them if you want any of them spicy or even really spicy. They can take the normal recipe and kick it up a level or two of spice for you, we usually do this. The building has been here for quite some time. I can agree with most of the complainers that the building is not as clean as it possibly could be. But they're doing something right because they pass health inspections. They do charge you a fee to use a credit card. I can't really blame them for that since they're being charged to have one. Be a good person and just pay with cash! Cash is king! Right!? So look past all of the haters and give Hong Kong your business. It's a great to go option on your way through town from work.

I walked into Rich China and was greeted by an empty dining room and a man behind plexiglass sitting in the corner. My first instinct was to turn around, but I thought, How bad could it be? The answer: Very bad. I ordered egg rolls, General Tso's Chicken, and Shrimp Pad Thai. The egg rolls were flavorless and filled with stringy, unidentifiable contents. The Shrimp Pad Thai had no flavor whatsoever--just rubbery shrimp, overcooked noodles, and little else. The General Tso's Chicken was the worst of all: overly fried chunks of chicken coated in a thick, sugary syrup. Even the plain white rice was overcooked. Not a single item tasted fresh or suggested care, effort, or pride in the preparation. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience.
