Five years ago when I had a sewer back up in the evening in my then only year old condo with which…read morewhose plumbing I was both unfamiliar and unskilled, I asked a neighbor in that then condo for a recommend and he immediately said to call Shane of Ajax. To this day I am still impressed, thankful, and obligated to Shane's and his assistant's immense crazy hard work coming on such short notice for emergency work thus a grateful review finally, years later. Shane arrived promptly within the stated window and since it was an emergency sewer backup, I had to urgently skip niceities and pointed to the problem which was a messy bathroom overflowing and Shane immediately in turn told his assistant to get the plumber's snake/auger while he simultaneously started removing the toilet altogether which was cutting the caulk to the ground, removing the 2 bolts, prying it off the wax seat, removing the plumbing connection inside, and lifting the whole thing off which in the rush and adrenaline seemed to be in 1 fell swoop. The assistant was quick to wheel up the very heavy (220lbs?) auger which they immediately sent down the exposed drain and about 15ft in, they encountered the blockage which he efficiently worked with the snake and I must note all of this was in rather dirty conditions with the backed up water. Shane was so quick, professional, and in control of what seemed like a house-ending event as to put us at ease. The sheer speed and expertise are priceless and he charged us the straight emergency rate (I think $200/h for both) but that was far far below all other vendors who are 2x-5x more but I'd happily given him 5x because of his sheer skill. To this day, I simply can't thank Shane and his assistant (shame I don't recall his name) enough and wanted all here to know of their heart and skill in emergency plumbing.

We decided to get a few quotes as a starting point and reached out to a few people. When we reached out to Mark, He responded very quickly and offered a very reasonable price. We ultimately decided to use him and we're glad we did. Not only did he come in with the best price, but he made himself available to do the job at our desired timeframe which if you are purchasing a home know it has to be done quickly. Mark remained very flexible the whole time and when we needed to reschedule our first date, he came out a different day with no issues. The most important thing for us was an inspector who would actually be thorough and that is what we got. The inspection took about 2 hours and Mark was extremely friendly, professional and most importantly, knowledgable and skilled. He had everything he needed, wore a mask and made the whole process very easy for us. He started outside and inspected every little thing. Once inside, he made sure everything was working, every outlet, every piece of equipment, checked every crack, every piece of paver, attics, tiles....you name it, he checked it. WARNING!!!!! The inspector raced through the inspection of my home before purchase and failed to…read moreidentify major issues ... corroded wiring and rusted electrical panels, exposed chimney vent (easily visible). Now I'm stuck with thousands of dollars of bills to repair after the purchase of the home. When I asked the company to compensate via insurance, they stated I signed an agreement which I can only claim damages up to the amount of the inspection fee $450!!!. They screwed me and cost me money on the home price as well as repair and refuse to make me whole! Mark Bendit, shame on you! Please check the agreement before you sign. It says you waive your right to be compensated above the inspection fee if they are negligent!! Do not sign! Do not use their services!!!
