Emser was the first tile showroom we visited when we first started remodeling our master bathroom. After visiting a few other local showrooms, we landed back at Emser. Outstanding knowledge and service - Adam, the store manager, went out of his way to make himself available by phone to answer multiple follow-up questions we had regarding tile installation. I called to find a grout that we needed matched to caulking. Even though their system was down, Jorge went above and beyond to help us match what we needed to a color they no longer sell. He was super friendly the phone and even calles me back within 15 minutes to further help us out. AI did have to go down to the store, which I hate doing due to the fact that I know nothing about tile let alone grout and caulking, Jorge and the other 2 guys working were very welcoming and and super helpful. I have been to several tile stores in Sonoma County and have Never had such good customer service. I would recommend this place to everyone. The customer service we received was the best out of all the tile places in Sonoma County. We had a very specific look we wanted to achieve for our kitchen and finding the exact tile we could use meant traveling to ALL of the tile stores in Sonoma County. Emser Tile didn't have what we wanted AT FIRST but Kris kept talking to us to find out more information as to what we wanted and realized he was able to special order exactly what we needed. As of the other tile stores we went to, we got ignored a lot because we are a young couple. No one was taking us seriously. But the fact that Kris took his time with us, wasn't pushy and let us think about our decision made me give this place 5 stars. In fact, we went in there looking for the tile for the kitchen but ended up ordering tile for the bathroom and later came back to ask more questions about the kitchen tile. We're awaiting our sample right now. Scott answered any and all questions about if another company's accent tile would work with the Emser Tile and how to place the tile accurately in the bathroom. He spent a good 30 minutes with us on just this one aspect. He never pushed us into a sale either. I would recommend Emser Tile to anyone. Scott and his staff couldn't have been more helpful. I had a girlfriend of mine pop in to Emser to look for some limestone flooring, we have been looking everywhere for the right one, and there it was PERFECTION! Scott was kind enough to ship me a few samples. They came quickly and in perfect shape, no easy task considering the size and material. It was a long process of phone calls, emails and visits but Scott was with me every step of the way even helping me with questions to the tile setters I was interviewing. I have had great experiences with Emser. I am a local interior designer who recently has started working independently, so I do think it helps that I know how to shop for tile. I have only actually been in there once, and it was just because I was in the neighborhood so they don't know me, but I was pleasantly greeted, even the though female was working with another customer. I have, however, ordered tile many times through them and have bombarded them with calls about pricing, freight, lead times, etc. Every time they have been extremely kind and helpful. Emser Tile is awesome. They have a great selection of tile and very fair prices. Kris helped me and was super accommodating and helpful as this was my first time picking/ordering tile. He was great at answering all of my questions and lent great advice when it was needed. After putting together my order at home, I emailed him and he was back in touch with me in no time. Halfway through the installation of a new cooktop in my 27 year old kitchen counter, my contractor and I realized that the tiles I had bought to fill in the 11 inch difference in size between new cooktop and old one just wouldn't work. I called most of the tile shops in town and no one was interested in dealing with such a small order (I was looking for two pieces of tile 24 inches long and 9 to 12 inches wide. I went into another tile supplier's "showroom" and they told me almost NO ONE in town has tiles in stock, but I "might try Emser". Fearing the worst, I walked into Emser and a VERY nice young man asked me how my day was going...I said I've had better days, and he asked how he could make it better. I told him what I was looking for, and he led me to some gorgeous tiles that I assume were for a backsplash. I asked if he had them in stock. Yes, he did, and he carried them to my car for me. What a super experience after being brushed off by four other businesses!!! My contractor and I will NOT forget Emser! read more

Came here because we are looking for tile for our bathroom. I walked in and made several laps all around the showroom before finally taking a sample off of the wall and going up to the counter to ask what the price per square foot was. The guy at the counter went in the back to find someone to help me, as he was already helping someone. It took maybe another 5 minutes for the other employee to appear and I just asked him to get me a price on the tile I was looking at. He went to the computer terminal to look it up, and picked up a phone call. As my husband and I stood in front of him at the counter, he chatted about going on vacation and all kinds of other ridiculous things...I nearly just walked out of the store...before finally hanging up and finishing looking up our price. He looked over at us and simply said, "Corporate." Oh, and I'm sure the corporate office would be thrilled that a potential customer was getting such crappy service. As for the tile? Nearly $35 a square foot for something similar to what we saw at Lowe's for $9. We'll never know why it was that much more expensive, because the dude never asked a single question of us. Not what we were working on, the look we were going for, whether this would work for us, nothing. I was not impressed with this tile store at all. Hopefully the people who do order tile through them get better customer service than I did. And if we decide to go with the tile we picked out here, with a simple Google search my husband found the exact same tile online for $12.99 with free shipping. read more
