Every sushi and sashimi we had are ever fresh. The cherry blossom presentation is very beautiful and taste even better. Salmon fried rice is the best Chinese fried rice I ever had. I got the combination chow fun, which was shrimp/beef/chicken. My parents shared a bunch of sushi rolls, including the Volcano roll, eel, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and more. When we arrived home, there was no wasabi and my mom typically likes to mix it in her soy sauce. I liked the noodles but they were really sticky so it was mostly just clumps of noodles. There were enough noodles for 2 helpings, but only enough protein for one. Otherwise, it tasted pretty good. My parents thought the sushi was fine. It is good to have more than one option for Asian food in a neighborhood. The place has some tables and has the usual list of lunch specials. For comparison purposes, we decided to order the orange chicken (a standard order for the household) and mu shoo pork. The former was, unfortunately, not as good as other places' version. We loved loved loved this little treasure of a business. I'm not sure how they have any bad review. The customer service was awesome. The food was super yummy and they were spot on every meal. Came here after craving some sushi and decided to order the spicy tuna roll. The interior of the restaurant was small, cozy, and very casual. The staff were nice and the location is convenient since it's in Potomac Village. I actually had some trouble finding the door since it's tucked away on the side. The sushi rolls are a bit overpriced ($9 for 6 small pieces) but the flavor of the spicy tuna roll was good and there was a generous portion of tuna in it. It was actually the spiciest spicy tuna roll i've had so beware if that's not your thing. My tastebuds and sinuses were ~tingling~. Even so, it wasn't the best sushi i've had and is quite pricey given that this place is super casual. You would have to order at least 2-3 rolls for a meal because 1 roll is snack size. read more

Meanwhile, the order status was still showing that the restaurant had confirmed the order. When I called, the woman asked me to check outside my front door and see if it was there. I looked and it was. This is where I deduct stars. There was no phone call, not even a knock at the door when my food arrived, so I literally had no notification of my for arriving. I have no idea how long it was sitting outside my door and the only reason I did know was because I called the restaurant. I had been a regular at EN bistro before the pandemic. I stopped going when they went to an all Japanese food menu and stopped serving Chinese food entrées. It seems they have gone back to serving Chinese food entrées. The lunch menu USED to include an entrée as well as a salad with a wonderful ginger dressing. they no longer include a salad with your lunch entrée, just white rice. I ordered the beef Thai basil, lunch. The beef was so overcooked and rubbery, It was hard to eat. the onions and peppers were sautéed well but had absolutely no flavor, and I could barely find a piece of basil in the entrée It certainly did include a lot of rice the rice, was flavorful and well prepared but I didn't order white rice for $12. I just came back after my second visit eating here and I'd really recommend this resto. They have massive selection of not only Japanese foods, but also Chinese & some Korean (i saw kimchi noodle on menu). My foods: 1. Unagi don (teriyaki eel) the other day and love love it! Surprisingly thick and a lot of unagi compared to the rice, they also generous with the sauce 2. Volcano roll & lobster roll were so so so good too 3. Crab fried rice is amazing you guys!! It's very hard to find tasty crab fried rice cz it's usually fishy and blend. But this one is salted right, the crab meat is not much but enough, and the smokiness of the fried rice is to die for. The whole fam is a huge fan 4. Tamago, tempura and udon but the taste was so so. Nothing special I give this 4 instead of 5 because they served white ginger that gives more punch than pink ginger which for me usually has lighter taste. The tempura can also taste better, more salt & seasoning maybe. But tastewise is great overall!
