The fish tacos are easily the best item on the menu. The grilled avocado dish was heinous: skin left on, couscous was cold, and there was a multitude of random ingredients that did not complement the dish. Interior was very loud and service was slow. Do not recommend.

Came for some margs and tacos for first time. It was fairly empty make 2-3 tables of People at 3pm on Saturday. Daniel was very nice acting as host, server, bartender for us. The margs were great - I got the blackberry margarita without cilantro. My guest got gold with a floater Grand Marnier on top. Was potent. We got the chips, queso and tomatillo app. The cheese was good and salsa spicy. Next we shared the fajita beef and shrimp. I wish I said medium but he didn't ask either. The meat was definitely well done and not super tender. The Vegis with it were good and poblano rice and elote side was good, small side cups so not like a huge amount to share but it worked for us. We got the sopapillas at the end and I didn't like taste of dough it had an after taste also didn't like the honey packets they were thick. Just throw some in a squeeze bottle and serve. They do offer caramel and/or chocolate with and the chocolate was good. Not a bad place for some tacos and drinks before a movie I'd say. I may venture back One day.

Decided to try En Fuego Cantina for Happy Hour with a friend. It happened to be on a Tuesday, which is Taco Tuesday (all-day happy hour). Happy Hour usually runs from 3-6pm Sun through Thursday with drink specials and all tacos for $6, so these hours are pretty busy. There is a high-top bar with plenty of seating, as well as tables with booths. Most of their cocktails are premade, so you cannot have the ingredients adjusted. If a drink is not on HH, it will run around $15+, which, to me, is a bit pricey for something as simple as a ranch water (what I ordered). Our server was very attentive and gave us some suggestions on his favorite tacos. Tacos come with a choice of a corn or flour tortilla. I had the quesabirria taco on a corn tortilla. The meat was good, as was the cilantro slaw. The beef tenderloin on the flour tortilla had great flavor. The raspberry habanero glaze on top brought a brightness to the taco with just the right amount of heat.

If you are local to the Southlands area, this will be your go to for Tex Mex authentic-ish style tacos. The prices are little steep for tacos, but with that being said go for their happy hour, specific menu items & tacos are discounted. Probably a better bet if you're on a bit of a budget. This restaurant has a very modern vibe, & is kept very clean! The tacos are good, we highly recommend the shrimp tacos, These were our favorite. Skip the side Spanish rice & fried chicken tacos. Our favorite dish was surprisingly the Elote, it hit all the sweet creamy spicy salty flavors, spot on! The service here is wonderful, our waitress was very helpful with menu & made some decent recommendations. Will definitely be back for happy hour. If you're a local to Southlands or just passing through the Southlands Aurora area stop on in, & enjoy! PRO TIP: Whatever you do save room for dessert! Their churro bites are fire. They come out hot crispy sweet salty all the yummy feels. Served with dipping sauce of your choice. Don't miss out!

The tacos were tasty! Decent portions, fresh ingredients and flavorful. I ordered through Grubhub so I can't speak to service or atmosphere.

We have been waiting for a new place to open up in this spot. We learned they have been in operation for about 7 months. It is a cozy atmosphere with Latin photos and a nice size bar area. They have happy hour that starts off at 2. I really enjoyed my chicken fried chicken taco and carnitas taco. The slaw on the carnitas taco burst with yummy pineapple. I ordered a skinny margarita. The cost of $14 was shocking, and it just wasn't good. It tasted like straight lime juice and no salt on rim. They were also out of 2 of the three drafts that they advertise. The server was quiet but attentive. Lastly, they have good guacamole and chips. Their elote needed a bit more seasoning and their charro beans, well needed more beans. It was mainly sauce and bacon and tomatoes. We like to support locally owned restaurants, but they need to kick it up a notch to be remembered.

Margaritas are AMAZING. every time I go anywhere else I compare the margaritas to Enfuegos! Quesabirria taco is my favorite, but all are good!! Wings & the new Chile Relleno are spot on. John the owner & all the staff are fantastic. I come at least once a week. Come -u won't be disapointed!!

This space has changed restaurants several times and nothing seems to stick. So when Ted Montana's Grill next-door had over an hour wait and this place had opened seating I wasn't hopeful. We were starving so we decided to give it a shot anyway. Immediately, I noticed how friendly the staff was and grateful that we were quickly seated. I decided to just order a bunch of things on the menu to give it all a shot, since I didn't think it would last long nor that we would be back. When I tell you, I was floored by how delicious these tacos were I've already been back twice to get more. The Elote appetizer was better than I could've possibly expected, and the queso with guac and chips was a really great portion considering price. At this point, I've tried every taco on the menu and I highly recommend all of them. I wanna say steak is my favorite but honestly, it could be any one of them on a different day. To top it off, the drinks were strong, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I think in time this place will have the hour wait and not the other way around. Southlands has finally got another great restaurant and I believe they're here to stay. The decor's classic Mexican restaurant with a warm family touch. The lighting is great not too bright comfortable for eating a meal and this restaurant could be for an intimate date night dinner, a night out with the family and even a fun evening with friends. The atmosphere is very versatile. I'm so glad we popped in.

The street taco plate was delicious and you can't go wrong with the carnitas. The Burrito smothered in green chile was also fantastic and the pickled onions and queso Fresca elevated some different notes. Right now, the Venalonzo margarita is at the top of my list, only to be topped by the house margarita at El Camino in Missoula, Montana. Weird I know, but if you know, you know.

For two people, ordered a set of 3 tacos (2x barbacoa and carnitas) and then another 3 tacos (asada, carnitas, and pastor), birria egg rolls, and a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Not a big deal but they put all the tacos in one box and I was able to differentiate which 3 tacos that I ordered. This place is super stingy with salsa. They gave me 2 tiny containers for salsa and then when I asked for a couple more, the lady said she could only give me two more. :( Excited to try the food and started off great with a simple bean, cheese, and rice burrito but outside of that everything else was very meh. Not sure how but all the meats were so dry, I ordered braised/slow cooked meats (barbacoa and carnitas). Asada and pastor were okay as well. Everything lacked seasoning and the salsa didn't add much to the tacos either. Birria tacos were also dry and consommé needed salt to be added. Value was not bad at $37.64. Tacos were about $3-3.20 per

I'm always searching for a place that offers breakfast burritos, green chili, and a broader meat option for breakfast. After my dual personalities finished their wrestling match over choosing the food available to prepare at home (btw Da Big Spenda won the match), I made my way to Tacos La Morenita. I walked into a dimly lit, clean, organized place with futbol on the tv, music playing, and staff gathered near the bar. I was greeted immediately and requested a menu since I couldn't quickly locate what I was looking for on the LED-lit menu on the wall above the register. On the menu, I saw the breakfast burrito allowed for non-traditional meat to be added to include chicken which always brightens my heart to see (Ms. Piggy shouldn't still dominate breakfast foods & we don't all consume beef regularly). I decided to order a breakfast burrito with asada beef (my arteries were craving excitement), green chili inside. The wait was around five minutes for a freshly prepared burrito with a side of salsa verde. When I returned home, I opened the burrito and took my first delicious bite. :O:O ... How delightful! The inside was nicely gooey with the green chili and cheese inside. The eggs were fresh and hot. The asada was chopped more finely than I'm used to in a breakfast burrito which was pleasantly surprising as they meshed very well with the shredded potatoes which are my Favorite style of potatoes in a breakfast burrito. Then...the Salsa Verde... Everyone around here does their version of this salsa. I'm rarely satisfied with it. Many are just a very liquid, not very flavorful, small to mid 'pica' in my existence. I was expecting the same here. I noted the difference in appearance and texture right away when opening the container. Yes, it's green. Yes, it's salsa but it had more substance than most I've encountered around Denver metro. More similar to restaurant style. The seeds were also more plentiful as if it was a freshly made batch. I drizzled a bit on a corner of the burrito and took a bite. :O:O:O...The dance of flavor on my tongue made my booty wiggle. This salsa is seriously a standout. It is milder but what it lacks in spice it makes up for in flavor. I mean, I would be interested in purchasing jars of this salsa just like I do from Yolanda's Tacos. As I stated, I'm sad I've waited so long, passing this place time and again, without trying it all these years. Now, that I know what it's been hiding, I will definitely visit again for the breakfast burritio but look forward to exploring the rest of the menu, as well.
