I really like this nail spot. I've tried a few in the area but I find that the nail techs here go right up to the cuticle and really take their time. I've gotten regular gel and dip here and both have lasted 2+ weeks. My dip has even lasted 3.5 weeks before from here! I want to start out by saying I've actually never written a review before because I've never felt strongly enough about anything until now. I have been coming to this salon for 6 months now since I moved to the neighborhood. During Covid they were offering $10 off their powder gel manicures which would then only cost $30. It was the best deal on nails and I kept going back because the price was so good. However, every time I got my nails done after 10-15 days, something would crack or chip. The staff was never the most friendly but my most recent manicure is the reason I will never go back. I got to the salon a little after 6pm on my way home from work. There were a total of 3 technicians. 1 of them was free so she sat me down and started to wrap my nails to soak off. Then another girl walks in but she has an appointment, I get that, appointments should always be taken on time because thats how you run a good business. Then another girl walks in (without an appointment) and asks for a manicure and pedicure. They have her sit in the pedicure chair but when the next technician finishes up with her client, instead of coming to me as I had been sitting there waiting, she goes and starts doing the pedicure of the girl who walked in 15 minutes after me. So after 35 minutes of soaking off my nails I start taking it off myself so I can leave and go somewhere else who will actually see me. The manager then runs over and tells me I'm not being seen because my nails are not done soaking. I show her that my fingers are literally bare and that I should have been next and instead I'm sitting here now waiting because you all clearly don't understand normal business practices. So then she gets flustered and starts filing my nails and I stop her because she left the girl she was working on to start my nails (which is now unfair to another girl). She said she would be done soon and will be over to do my nails.......35 minutes later (which does not classify as "soon") she finally starts my manicure. This whole process took 2 hours. It felt like a chore to be getting my nails done. No one wants to waste 2 hours after they finally get off work, getting their nails done. And now that they aren't even offering the $10 off anymore it's SO not worth it. They clearly do not care/have no loyalty to repeat customers. Seriously, don't waste your time or money. There's 3 nail salons every block I will be going somewhere else from now on and you all should too. read more

Got dip nails and they lasted a total of 6 days before lifting and my hair getting stuck in them. Been getting my nails done consistently for years and I've never had it happen that quickly and badly. They had a 10 day policy so I came in and had all of my nails redone, the new nail tech was much better than the previous but the nails still only lasted just at 2 weeks. Both times it took them well over 30min to soak off the previous dip which was beyond annoying. Not worth the $$. read more

Terrible customer service. I spoke to someone over the phone and mentioned that I wanted to go in for the free touch up they offer within 10days, it was my 7th day and my gel nails had already chipped. I mentioned it as soon as I walked in and they charged me in the end for a regular gel manicure. I mentioned it 3 times over the phone, as soon as I arrived, and when I sat down in the chair before they begun. The manager was incredibly rude and did not even listen to me when I was talking to her. They say they offer services but don't hold up on their end. To top it off the gel manicure i received was terrible they left bubbles on my nails. Not happy at all with them and will definitely not go back. The manager/owner was so rude and I have heard of this happening to other customers with the same issue as mine. Terrible establishment, total and complete rip off. read more

Went here for a dip manicure because the price point was very reasonable. Nails all cracked, all 10 of them had split down the middle in under 10 days. They honored their policy to fix them, and I was very happy. Less than 5 days later, 2 of the nails broke again, the thumb into many pieces and the middle finger into two. For reference, I work at a job where I type on a computer for a living and did not workout this week. Very disappointed as this has never happened to me before with dip polish. read more

This location just opened up and is closer to where I live. The original one on 32nd street in midtown is fantastic, this location is very disappointing. I have been to the 16th & 3rd location 4 times now (twice for a powder manicure and twice for a pedicure). All four times I got a very below average mani/pedi and very poor service. Overall, good and reasonably priced with great selection of SNS. BUT some of there technicians completely rush through your nails and don't do as good of a job as they could have. I had Lucy today and she did not do a good job. I think she actually put a different color on my nails than what I picked out and completely rushed through getting my nails done even though no one else was waiting. I found enail ($32 cash; 2 locations) and walked right over. you get what you pay for, so don't be fooled by their shiny-nail instagram like me: this was, by far, the worst powder mani job (and overall nail technician experience) i've ever had in my life. Rachel was racing against the clock (with no one else in line, mind you) in a way i've never seen for any service - to the point where she wasn't even looking at the nails and missed so many spots with both the powder and the liquid coats. it definitely bordered insulting, considering i am paying and tipping for this service at a business. The color was so light and faint that i asked for another coat - i was denied, AND got the nastiest stare and a lecture. However, compared to the complaints/responses i overheard from 2 girls next to me during their powder manis, i actually feel grateful. also, i realized from all the interactions i saw that eventually when you express disappointment during the service they pretend they don't understand english. i also saw THREE people come in during my service with their powder receipts asking for repairs, and they have a whole photo receipt system for this exact purpose. nothing about this is normal - they clearly know their service is bad. i sat on this review for a about a week trying to convince myself it's OK because it's below local market value, but can't. There is no care for quality - clearly just a cash nail factory - so i wouldn't try a different technician. Also, i see a lot of reviews justifying the bumpy-finish nails with the fact that they don't own electronic buffers like everyone else: this is a cop-out: the technician just needs to CARE and KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING to achieve a passable result without an electronic buffer. are these technicians even trained? after Rachel put a wet essie coat on my powder nails and made me wait for it to dry, and then scratched my nails out with a buffer and didn't refinish them, i'm guessing NO WAY. read more

Fast service with a lot of color choices. My powder color changed from a light pink to a yellow within days. I don't work with my hands and didn't do anything that would cause this and when I showed it to the store they insisted on charging me $20 to fix it. Nice spot if you want a quick manicure. This was probably the fastest gel manicure I've ever received and it looked great. I personally enjoy when they go longer and there are more massages, lotion application, etc., but if you're in a hurry this is a great option. The place was clean and wasn't crowded.
