Went in yesterday for the first time and got their classic pedicure. I was very impressed with the environment, polish choices and their detail to pampering you. When I was escorted to my chair the technician took my selected magazines and carried them over for me. Everything that I might have to do for myself she wanted to so that I could could get more relaxed. It was great. They provide you a complementary drink wine, soda etc... And even refilled my glass of wine when I was all finished but just sitting waiting for my Polish to dry a bit. The only thing I would have loved was if my massage had been a little stronger pressure wise. I didn't ask for her to change it cause I didn't want to seem picking but would have liked to be asked. I also am not quite sure how well they actually trim and clean up your nail area. I had just had a pedicure 2 weeks prior that I needed a lot of work done so my feet were in pretty good condition and it was hard to tell how detailed they would be in this area. None the less an amazing pedicure well worth every penny. I will be going back for my next pedicure and will hopefully have a stronger massage and will see just how much they work on my toes. Im pretty positive they will be worth the 5 stars after that visit but for now the jury is out. read more

eNails does an excellent job on both manicures and pedicures. I regularly get both done and have never been anything but happy with the outcome. They honor appointments - no waiting! And, always have sufficient nail techs to meet the needs of walk-ins as well. The place is clean, has lots of color choices and offers beverages while your nails are being done. And, the staff is always very friendly. I have been to several other salons that are closer to me but make the drive to eNails because they are topnotch! read more

I have been here with my daughters at least half a dozen times. If you have read the reviews, you notice a lot of variation. That sums up eNails. The experience is INCONSISTENT. I have had great mani/pedis there, and not so great. One time my daughter's toe was cut and bleeding quite a lot. The tech continued to irritate the area, with my adult daughter practically in tears, and leaving with a substantial cut on her toe. My most recent pedi was started by a girl who seemed completely new at the job. It as if she had never done a pedi before. She did a terrible job just removing my old polish. She clipped and filed so poorly that I had to ask another tech to re-do them. When she started to apply the polish she didn't even put in the toes separators, I had to tell her. At that point I think I appeared exasperated, so one of the older techs finished my pedi and sent the girl to start a pedi on a new client. So, if you don't mind an INCONSISTENT hit or miss experience, this place is fine. Or perhaps if you know the techs (no name tags, so good luck on this) and if you can ask for a good one, then that would be fine. It is a pleasant place, easy parking, drinks offered etc. read more

Visited eNails twice since my initial visit. Second time was a pedicure performed by a different woman. She didn't take nearly the time and care that I experienced during my first visit. The first one I had was from an older woman with glasses, I do not know her name, but I would highly recommend her. My last visit to eNails was for a shellac manicure with my best friend who had set the appointment for us. She had made her appointment with a tech who she had seen before and was comfortable with. I, however, had what appeared to be a 15-year-old girl doing my nails. She tried, I guess, but it was terrible. Not only did the end result look like crap, but the process was really awkward because she wasn't familiar with the routine, was hurried and abrasive, and generally seemed like she had very little experience. These places need to take a page from the beauty schools: if you're going to give me a rookie job, then you should only charge me a rookie rate. Makes sense, right? read more

Yay, another great nail place in Sellwood! I usually go to Healthy Nails and Spa on Tacoma but they've gotten so popular (good for them!) it seems like I'm always getting turned away. eNails charges $5 more than Healthy Nails for a pedicure with paraffin dip and hot towels. I'll gladly pay it for fewer people and a much bigger, open atmosphere. My tech did a fantastic job cleaning everything up, including calluses, and did an awesome paint job that lasted 3 weeks. They also autoclave their tools in little sealed plastic bags. I'm not sure if this is more effective than sticking them in that blue liquid stuff but it seems like it would be. Also, being brand new, they have these super fancy, plush massage chairs that are just awesome. read more

I want to say one thing to reviewers who were unhappy with the workmanship and/or upset with with way they were treated: Speak up, Ladies. Don't put up with it. Stop them and don't pay. You can bet men don't put up with this stuff at the barber, and I'm willing to bet poor treatment is rarely an issue for them. The first few times I finally got up the courage to tell someone they were doing poor work or treating me badly, my heart was pounding so hard I thought they could hear it! But I can tell you it felt a lot better than crying in my car later or paying for bad work. Nowadays I just calmly tell them what they're doing is unacceptable. It's your body, your money. The salon is very nice - bright and airy - and the people who work here are very friendly. I was happy that I was able to get an appointment with only 15 minute notice, and I really enjoyed my complimentary glass of wine. However, the lady who did my manicure filed my nails too short. In fact, on three nails she went down all the way to the actual nail, which is not only unsightly, but also incredibly painful. I don't think I will risk going back here. read more

i'm the kind of person who doesn't get their nails done..mostly b/c there's always an awkward feeling going into nail shops.there's always the usual" pick color, sit down"..but here,they all greet you warmly, are super nice, and friendly! they took an hr. and 15 min. on the 2nd level pedi. felt extremely pampered, and happy! There are a lot of nail places in the Sellwood area, and I have tried most of them. This place is great, and it's not super busy like the others in the area. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and spacious, and there are plenty of pedicure stations. Ivy is my girl, but don't go booking her up, she's mine! Just kidding... kinda :) In all seriousness, here's why I love it. I get the shellac polish that lasts several weeks. Every time I go to another nail salon, the shellac starts to chip or peel off after the first week. If I'm spending more money for a manicure to last longer, it needs to last more than a week. I have never had a problem with peeling polish after going to e-nails and that's why I keep going back. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the decor is absolutely hideous. Here is the color scheme: baby blue, red, lavender, green and orange. You heard me right sisters! It is by far, the ugliest nail salon I've ever been in. This of course would never make me stop going, but it's almost comical how horrendous the paint colors are. I will help them paint if they need volunteers... read more

I have fallen in love with Mary. If she wasn't already married, if I wasn't straight and married - I would take her home! She is wonderful. I have gone to her twice now. 1st for a pedicure and then for a manicure. The manicure was perfectly painted and detailed and they fixed my broken nail (some salons won't do that, they just cut it off, which looks dumb). I've been comparing salons every since Chic Nails went out of business. Wish I knew where Kathy is now. After all these years I still haven't found the perfect salon. But, this is the best so far. I love the decor. It's very clean, spacious, very inviting and close to elegant. I love how they offer beverages and when my friend and I go together, we do enjoy some libation. They offer a menu of services along with the beverage menu. I love to choose how much pampering I'm in need of on that particular day. The chairs are very comfortable. I always try to make an appointment, but they do take walk-ins. This salon is across the river from me, but I don't mind at all since I've always been so pleased. Enails is the salon I usually go to since it open last summer. I've been there and I happy with their services. The staffs are very friendly and sweet. They care for customer such as hanging your coat up, filling your drink.... They are always checking if you need help of something during the pedicure. This is very quite and relax atmosphere. This place is supper clean and sanitize. They use sanitize before they touch your skin. They have wiFi and Ipad3 for customers to use during the time there. Overall, I would recommend Enails for my friends and the people that I know. This is highly recommended place for everyone. This place is wonderful, and it is worth it for the price. I don't like posting negative reviews, but I wouldn't want someone to get a bad job done like I did. First off, I showed a photo of what I wanted (long, thin, rectangle matte pink acrylics), and I got a HORRIBLE job done. The nail shape was very thick & very bulky and the paint was awful. The nail polish must have been old or just no good. It was very streaky and bumpy- HORRENDOUS. I don't get my nails done often, so I was very upset to have a really bad job done. It was so bad, I was trying to hide it rather then feeling confident with beautiful nails. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The lady was nice, but the job was just terrible, and cost me $30-$35. Also, when I was there, there was a man that was being very loud & it wasn't a relaxing or enjoyable experience at all. I have 2 young children, that is the only time I have to relax, very unhappy. read more

The service was good (really great long massages along with nails), the people were friendly, but what really didn't work for me was the christian music blasting from the TV. Nails can take a while and I felt like a had to sit through a full church service. My daughter and I went in the other day and had a classic pedicure. We drove over from N.E. Portland based on the five star reviews other customers had left and we were not disappointed. Very friendly attentive technicians and owner and nice relaxing very clean environment. I have never had a pedicure before and my technician did a fantastic job and made my first experience very enjoyable. My daughter was impressed as well with her technician and said this is the best pedicure she has every had! Between the wonderful massage chairs, parafiin wax treatment, foot and leg scrub/massage, hot towel wrap, wine, and the pampering we received we left feeling very relaxed and had soft feeling fantastic looking feet! read more

Hubby and I were visiting the area and popped in to see if there were any openings. We got right in on a Saturday afternoon. Tech's were great at our many step pedi and mani with no polish. I went to eNails for a pedicure for the first time yesterday. It's in my 'hood, and thought it might be a nicer environment than my usual pedicure spot across town. I made an appt, and arrived at my scheduled time. I got upselled by the owner on the pedicure over the one I had picked from the minute I got there, which I hate, but that seems to happen everywhere I've been, so no different. They do have a large selection of OPI nail polish which was nice. The usual massage chairs with soaking tubs were very comfortable. A glass of wine with the pedicure was a nice accompaniment too (who expects a good glass of wine? It was cheap, but still wine!). The nail technician was pleasant, and the only nail technician I've ever had who was concerned about my sitting comfort- she gave me a pillow to rest my magazine on and adjusted my chair- it was nice that she was attentive to that. Now, that's where my positive experience ends. I decided to try the "classic pedicure" instead of the "spa pedicure". The owner mentioned I would get my calluses worked on, which were getting a little on the more callus-y side, I thought they could use a little work, and since I never go barefoot, should last most of the summer. I agree with a previous reviewer that the massage was "meh". My calluses were barely addressed- post pedicure, even with the paraffin, my feet are fairly rough. Other than the change in color of my toenails, you'd never know I had a pedicure looking at my feet. I was looking forward to playing around with their ipads, but was never offered one. When I was waiting for my polish to dry, I was hoping someone might come by and at least offer me some water- for an almost 90 degree day, it would have been nice, but even though there were only 2 other customers in the joint (I didn't want more wine, just a cool water please!), no dice. My toes looked nice, but within a couple of hours of getting home, one polish was already chipped, and another toe was sore. I woke up this am, and my sore big toe now is red, swollen and tender along one edge. Great- I paid to get a toe infection- lovely. I had hoped this would be better than the busy, relatively inexpensive nail salon I usually go to, but I ended up paying more for a worse experience (with the exception that it wasn't as crazy busy, and was pretty quiet). PROS: spacious quiet/not overly busy big selection of polish glass of wine CONS: pricey minimal effort on the rest of the foot left with a toe infection (!) Back to the chaos of the other nail salon- at least it's a reliable quality, and I've never gotten an infection there. I had hoped to like you eNails, but you didn't even meet my low bar on expectations. So disappointed :-( read more

I had a very fine pedicure here and an excellent gel manicure. Great attention to detail, wonderful service, friendly and skilled technicians. They really make you feel welcome - I had made an appointment and was greeted by name, supplied with magazines, and even a glas of wine! Coming from Southern California, I am not used to service like this! Plus, the place is really, really clean, and there is no gross smell. It's not exactly cheap, but comparable at least to SoCal prices. Totally worth it in my mind. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and come back if I can! read more
