The sisters here always do an amazing job and are very friendly and accommodating. I come in every few weeks for a gel nail fill, and a pedicure. I often bring in an inspo photo and they are happy to try whatever designs I ask for. It's best to make an appointment, but they do sometimes have space for walk ins. read more

I do shellac and they do not know how to remove the shellac without grinding down your nails. *they're supposed to place a soaked cottonball in remover onto your nail and wrap each one in a foil, BTW. They were sweet and the place was clean enough. However, I felt the sensitivity of my nail beds greatly increase during my only session. I was worried the technician would grind through!! She seemed uneducated about the process. I was freaked out by the experience. Would not return. read more

Unfortunately NO STARS for this place. Went here because my first two choices were closed or full and I was in a hurry. I will say they were able to accommodate my schedule and the lady doing my nails was very sweet ... BUT, she scraped my ankles raw with the pumice stone. I came out with bleeding cuts on both ankles that have been red, tender and painful for days. The massage hurt because she was rubbing the areas she had just injured. I was trying to be tolerant and didn't realize the extent of the damage until I got home and took a good look at the wounds. The place was not very clean either. I went here based on the "outstanding" and "five" stars that were given to Nails on the Avenue. Maybe I went to the wrong Nails on the Avenue in Milwaukie but I double checked. Based on the reviews I read, this possibly cannot be the same nail salon that I checked into. I am extremely unhappy with the service and my pedicure. $23 for the crappiest pedicure I have ever received in my life. The lady who worked on my toes spent the whole time on the phone. She was more interested in her time on her cell phone that she actually stopped what she was doing at the beginning of my pedicure to answer her cell phone and talk almost the whole time up until my nails were painted. She somehow overlooked whatever was going on with the water in the spa tub because it leaked out all over the ground and onto my belongings. My purse was soaking wet and she didn't even apologize. I got my nails done a couple days ago and I have been marinating on my review hoping that maybe I would look down at my toes and feel that they looked extra cute and give them a second chance. NOPE, I just examined my pedicure again and my paint didn't even cover all of my nail on my big toes. Thank goodness I bought the color so I could do the touch up myself. Really unhappy with their work and also the salon isn't as clean & comfortable as the reviews state it to be. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I randomly had to go here because my place was unable to open due to the snow in Feb. I explained to them I was getting married and was super excited. The gal doing my toes was not doing a good job. She even left black nail polish on my nails- I had to ask her to take it off. When I explained to her that I felt she wasn't doing a respectable job she started over and kept telling me she knew what she was doing. Also, when using shellac you are not supposed to put oil on the nails before the paint and she did! I should have known better and painted my own nails. Worst experience I have ever had. read more

Was able to make a same-day appointment. Tools came from a sterile packet: plus! The ladies offered my friend and me tea and water and set us up with gossip mags and turned the massage chairs on for us. I was happy with my toes! After drying them under the light for several cycles, they wrapped my toesies up so that I could wear my shoes home, and my fresh pedicure made it there unharmed! (It had been drizzling all day...no way I was wearing some dinky paper-thin flip flops home.) $25 is more than I usually care to pay for a pedicure, but the ladies were exceptionally hospitable. Nice people, cute place, horrible services. I hate even writing this review for simply how nice the older women was who helped me. But this is the worst manicure I have ever gotten. Machine turned off and on the whole time and was outdated. My simple shellac polish change took a total of 1.5 hours. After over a hour of trying to correct it I just accepted my nails for how they were and left, I am so disappointed with both my manicure and pedicure. read more

Worst manicure I ever had! It took two hours, lots of pain and lots of confusion to do a simple shellac. The lady, though very sweet, simply had no clue what she was doing...her coworker kept coming up and correcting her, but it didn't help. After the end of hour two she asked if "it is pretty?" I have been coming here on and off for about five years. Just came back with a friend yesterday for a pedicure (23$). The ladies are always nice and do a great job! From start to finish it was about 45 minutes so you get a nice little foot massage and will come out with beautiful toes. Had to hold my foot up awkwardly for a pedicure, not sure why I couldn't stay in the spa chair. Then, during the manicure I said I could see through the polish and asked for another coat, she said no and I had to argue for it. When I asked her to even my nails out she said it was because of the 4th coat not because she filed them crookedly. Now, I'm noticing that I can still see my previous red polish and the new polish is thicker in some places than it is in others. read more

Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The women here have been taking care of me for years, and they really take their time with pedicures. Ask for the "deluxe" style... you'll get some kind of green scrub that looks weird but feels and smells really good. They also use all kinds of nice lotions and oils on your feet, ankles, and calves.
