What a fun escape room experience! We did the enchanted forest room which was perfect for our group and level. Let me tell you when I say this room is immersive and really big. We were a group of 3 but the size of the room could have accommodated more. Puzzles were fun and challenging. My wife & I had a rare night away from the kids so we decided to finally check out Enchanted Escape Room which we have been passing in our car for years now. First, off, It's not immediately obvious where to go. There's a tiny door in the back of the building with their logo. You need a code to unlock the door (it'll be on the confirmation email for your room) and then you have to climb up 2 flights of stairs & go through some hallways to get there. You'll even walk through a little themed outside patio area before you get in to the lobby. It was just odd. Luckily we came on an off day because even though we were booked for 9pm, we got there around 8:40p and they got us up and running right away. We did the Enchanted Forest room. I'm not going to go in to any puzzles, but I will say the room as a whole could use a face lift. One thing I will say is that I spent over 5 minutes trying to figure out a puzzle (I knew it was one because there was an item box above it & I could see something nearby was missing something) only to find out after the room had finished that it was broken & they don't use it anymore. I really wish they had marked it as not part of the room/not a puzzle like several other items in the room were. It would've saved us lots of precious time. I would also say they need to either not have or turn down the ambient song they play on loop the whole hour. It's annoying & also loud to the point where we had to listen to some auditory clues several times just to figure out what was being said. When you're in a timed environment, little things like this add up. We actually opened up the final door & before we could bring something back to the main door to 'escape,' the timer went off. I am certain that had we not had that broken puzzle or sound issues we would've gotten outta the room with a minute or two to spare. I will say the puzzles were fun. My wife and I definitely did enjoy our time. We just felt like if it was cleaned up/fixed a little bit it would've been a whole lot better. In the end, I'm glad there's this escape room and it could be a fun first escape room experience. But I also feel like there are a bit better options around if you're willing to drive a little bit. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This place should be a complete embarrassment to anyone and everyone who is involved with it. I booked it once with my girlfriend (100$ for about 90 minutes btw) upon entering the room, I legit looked at my girl and apologized. I kid you not, whoever owns this place legitly bought a bunch of cheap Dollar Tree and Party City knickknacks and placed them in a dark room put together with tape and glue (I AM NOT EXAGERATING) If youre not laughing yet, half of the props are LITERALLY falling apart broken and put back together with glue and it looked like they were on a hurry because you can see big residual messes of glue blobs all over the place lmao. Im not done yet; the room organizer dude FORGOT to set up the room properly and left out important pieces of the "puzzles", (we spent half our time confused, then an hour in--one of the dudes bolted in saying "oops! We forgot to put the key there! Haha!" and straight up handed it to us.) By the way, there is no clever contraptions, no hidden thoughtful mechanism--Just some random creepy dude watching you the whole time on a cheap ring camera waiting to press buttons manually Lmao. Aside from all of that, there is no smart way that the puzzles work, they literally give you a piece of paper with dumb riddles that basically end in "look under this random thing to find the key we forgot to add". You'd have a better chance of solving the room if you just start flipping sh*t upside down YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP, it is straight up a pathetic disaster. Like I said - when me and my girl walked in the room , I literally apologized and said "lets gtfo out of here" but thank God she is so nice she didnt break up with me and decided to give me points for trying. I legit have NEVER even used Yelp, but I had to get an account for this only review. Pathetic doesnt begin to describe what the owners are for this atrocity. I swear this post is not doing the situation justice; It got to the point I was literally hoping Ashton Kutcher would pop out from behind one of the broken props and tell me i've been Punk'd. At the end of it all, the dude apologized to us for not doing his one job of setting the room up correctly and offered us an extra free game in the future (As you can guess I have not went back). We had such a fun experience at the Enchanted Escape Room in Northridge! We were beginners, and even though we weren't that great at it, we still had an amazing time. Jay was our host/helper and he made the whole experience so much better. He was very attentive and gave us helpful hints from another room so we could complete the mission, which made the game even more enjoyable. His support really made a difference, and we appreciated his kindness and enthusiasm. I haven't been to an escape room in a while so decided it was time to take on another challenge. Decided on this escape room because it was the nearest one to where I was at the time plus there was a Groupon so made it an even better deal. We had bought the belly of the beast since it fit the best timing at the time. However, on that day, my party arrived late by 20 mins and we were expecting to have only 30 mins to complete our escape room. The game master was so kind to give us an option of doing the King's Army for a full hour or keep our original room with 30 mins left. Of course we picked the King's Army so we have the full hour. Game master gave a quick but thorough explanation of the room. There are hint cards around if you need hints, but if game master sees you are stuck for a while he will type out hints for you on the screen. All the puzzles are uniquely thought out. Just when I thought i opened the door to escape, it led to another room of more puzzles. Finally escaped with game masters hints with 30 seconds left on the clock. I would definitely come back to try the other rooms. Some people mentioned it's at the sketchy part of town which is correct, but if you come during daytime or a large group at night time, it should be ok. There is a tiny lot, but there were some street parking around. read more

Bought a Groupon for two to try out Enchanted Escape Room- Belly of the Beast. No issues booking. The escape room consisted of locks and puzzles. Some of the puzzles were more time consuming than it needed to be. I like the hint cards vs asking the game master for hints. I liked it, but I dont think I'll be returning. There's street parking and I think there's a small parking lot. It's at the sketchy part of town, so be careful. read more

Enchanted Escape room was a great experience! We did the first chapter and it was very fun (they can be played out of order but recommend going in order)! The room was very immersive, enjoyable, and appropriate in difficulty (medium). We had a party of 2 and it was challenging! We've done a lot of escape rooms before and the puzzles in here were thematic and exciting! Never felt like we were lost without a way forward. I recommend this place a lot!! Give it a go. My Friend & I just recently went to Enchanted this past Saturday and we had a ball! Our gamemaster Marcus was great, he was attentive & helpful & had to get a kick out of us because we were psyched to conquer the room! lol. We loved the storyline & how it weaves through all their rooms. The room we were in started dark & i really like that aspect. I've never done a dark escape room. We arrived to do the Genie escape room. A lot of the puzzles were lock and key and overall, there wasn't much in there that made sense. The workers were super friendly but there were a few times where we were stuck and waved our hands at the camera and no one gave us hints. We ended up not solving the puzzle, which was fine but I sort of wished they did a run through for us to see what we did wrong or how certain things made sense to them. A lot of their props were run down. We could also hear everything the next party was saying as their room was right next to ours. They were trying to open the door that led to our room. I wanted to do an escape room for my LA destination birthday celebration, so I chose The Enchanted Escape Room. It doesn't look like much when you are driving up the street, but when you turn into the driveway, the whole vibe changes. It's a quaint, well thought out venue. The owner ( and our game master that day) was very friendly and did a great job setting up our task. He stayed engaged with us and knew when we were struggling and provided timely hints. Our party of 7 did "The Tavern" room and completed it with about 2-3 minutes to spare! It was our first time, and we will definitely do it again. I'm hooked! We were brought into a room that resembled a forest. The room was not lit and I asked if we were going to be in the dark and was told we were, and to use the flashlight on our phones. I was not expecting to have to use my phone, and it wasn't charged all the way. It would have been nice to have that info on the website. A flashlight is a must for the Enchanted room! The room itself was kind of dilapidated, and things were broken. The cabinet that contained the most vital clues to escape, was broken, and although we solved the clue to get into it, it just clicked and would not open and the knob had fallen off. When our time was up, we told and showed, the worker the cabinet, and his response was "Oh, I have to check into that." I asked him if the clues inside were important, and he said that they were basically the ones that would have solved the mystery. Because the box was broken, we never stood a chance to "escape." I would not waste my money on this room. I also was not happy that the young kid didn't take it seriously when we showed him the broken box. Enchanted Room. First off, it's dark in the room so better have your phone flashlight. That's being said, holding a phone flashlight while trying to find clues is cumbersome but ok fine. Second the room was sketchy to say the least. Things were broken and missing. We found a clue, which led us to a box containing essential clues. However, that box wouldn't open completely, it was stuck. Because we couldn't open it, we couldn't get to the essential clues to finish the room. We tried and tried and couldn't get the box to open. Without those clues there was no way to move forward. Nothing in the room made sense after that because we didn't have the materials to move forward. Also so many things were torn and weathered, stuff hanging off walls that shouldn't be, stuff torn, looked delapitated. Therefore things that turned out to be clues looked like just like rest of the things that were broken or torn making it difficult to tell what was part of the game and what wasn't. We got clues from the locked boxes but they were worthless because we couldn't get into the first clue box. When the time was up we asked the guy what were we supposed to have done. He explained that the box (which we couldn't get open) would have led us to the rest of the clues and the "passports" we needed. We showed him that it wasn't opening and as much as we tried, we followed exactly what he said we had to do, it clicked open part way and stuck. All he said was "oh I'll have to look into that" and walked away. Now no, we didn't ask for a refund or anything, (we didn't get the opportunity anyway) but it sure would've been nice for them to at least acknowledge that it was messed up, they were sorry, and even a discount on another room would have been appreciated. But that he just walked away with basically a shrug was really disconcerting and the reason I would give this a zero if I could read more

Completely amazing and a great group activity. We had a BLAST at Enchanted Escape rooms this weekend. They have four different rooms with three difficulty settings. We had eight different teams, so we cycled into the two "medium challenge" rooms on a set schedule. The puzzles were fun and challenging and we enjoyed to rooftop common area to hang out while we were waiting our turn. The owners were super accommodating and did a great job of keeping things flowing along. So much fun and trash talking as the teams announced their scores! It was a great introduction to escape rooms for me and I can't wait to try the other rooms for the family. Looking forward to the HARD room for a really tough challenge to come. We are in town from Seattle and so happy to have been squeezed in last minute for Chapter 2: The Tavern. There were three of us, two vets and a newbie, and we escaped with just over 4 minutes left. The puzzles needed thought but not too challenging. The hint system is set up in a way of which you find cards with the puzzles and are able to present them to a reader that would give you a hint on a screen for that puzzle, giving you the ability to solve the puzzle and discard the hint or use it if ultimately stuck. The room was well put together, stuck to the theme, puzzles were of good variety and the room not being linear meant we all had plenty to do. We look forward to more on future trips to LA! read more
