The only thing that was strange was that I had to pay to go in to chaperone since they wouldn't allow two kids (10 years olds) go in alone. Our host was very kind and energetic! We did the Tavern 2 and it was described as medium-hard. My husband and I have completed about 7 other rooms previously. I would say this room was medium difficulty. My only complaint was the temperature of the room was hot. But I would definitely go again! And try all the other rooms :) great clues, fun puzzles, and a fairly well lit room compared to others. read more

We're escape room veterans and really enjoyed both rooms at this location. Highly recommend doing both rooms in the same night, as it's a continuous storyline. The puzzles were super clever and the rooms very well themed. To top it all off, the owner is super duper nice and clearly passionate about making his rooms a memorable experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, newbie or more experienced. This was my second experience at this location as it's become a fun activity for when I have my niece and nephew in town for a weekend. They have fun options for all ages but the main reason for my review today is the team went above and beyond for us. I of course managed to book the wrong date which was supposed to be a Saturday but I chose Sunday (ugh) meaning the kids would be gone and the activity would be wasted. As we were leaving a team member ran down two flights of stairs to catch us in the parking lot to set us up with a room they had available. They made our day and we will definitely be back! We did Genie Ransom and Spellbound here. This location is interesting in how you get hints. In Genie Ransom we were moving and grooving until a certain puzzle. We were trying to ask the GM what the heck to do and it took them forever to answer which was frustrating. Genie ransom was overall a pretty decent room. Spellbound was cool. I would say it's a decent room for people who are in the start of doing escape rooms. read more

We had so much fun. We were four friends and this was my first escape room. The theme was amazing and the clues were both helpful and intriguing enough to keep us on our toes. It was a great opportunity for developing communication and building problem solving skills. The owner of the escape room, Javed was an amazing host and he encouraged us with perfectly helpful clues. Honestly, don't even know where to start. We had been here a couple times, and we were hooked by the end of the first room. The rooms had incredible themes, and such creative little trap doors, nooks, etc. They are complex, and the puzzles vary room to room (not a one-trick pony kind of place). However, I did not ever take the time to review this place because it didn't seem important to me.... UNTIL.... one Friday night we came to this building really late. We signed up to do the last room of the night, and there was a really creepy guy in the business center that kept cornering and aggressively 'flirting' with our group (all female). The male staff on the clock that night were so understanding and helpful when we came in distressed. When we completed our room, the male staff escorted us down three levels and walked us to the car to assure our safety. As a woman, this is incredibly important to me that my voice is heard, but also that I'm valued as more than a customer. Going out of their way to assure our safety was definitely not in their job description, but it reflected beautifully on company values for them to take an extra five minutes to make sure we left their facility safely and comfortably. We will 1,000% be returning to complete all the rooms at this Northridge location, as well as visit to LA location. Shoutout to the owner for creating such an immersive space but more importantly, an incredible staff. read more

It was my girlfriend's first time and my third time at an escape room and we both had a wonderful. We did Enchanted Forest and everything was clean and the environment was great. I didn't expect to win because I've never escaped a room before but we were determined we escaped with 7 minutes to go! The owner, Jay, was the one that answered all my questions over the phone and gave us the warmest welcome. He seems like such a great guy and very passionate about his business so we will definitely come back to try all the rooms and support! This was my 10th escape room and we decided to do the "Enchanted Forest." The picture online made it seem cute but wow, just wow, was it AWFUL. It was SO cheap and tacky. It was so dark that we missed several important clues, not from being careless but because we literally could not see them. I'm assuming the lights are so low because they don't want you to see how cheap it is (but you can't miss it). We ended up having to use our cell phone lights. You couldn't tell black from green from blue which was kind of important... Also, literally half the room was broken. The cheap "grass" floor is coming up. Someone is going to trip and face-plant for sure. We would solve a puzzle and the box simply wouldn't open. I can't tell you how many puzzles we solved that didn't work, causing us to waste time trying to figure something else out, only to come back to the same conclusion and try the same thing over and over again for it to work on try 10. It was really frustrating and a complete waste of money. Also, when we started the room, the girl just took us in and said good luck. We had to ask her what the objective was and she was like "oh ya" and then gave us the spiel. There is a reason they don't have images of the actual room or a video teaser like many escape rooms do... because if you saw it before booking, they would go out of business. DO NOT COME HERE!!! read more

Just did the Enchanted Forest this last weekend for a friend's early birthday celebration. The Forest was super awesomely set up, it was gloomy and only mildly creepy if you're faint of heart, and the puzzles themselves were clever and entertaining. I don't like it much if they focus too heavily on math or calculations (simply because it's harder to do as a group activity) but this one had fun puzzles that you could do independently or with someone else. I definitely want to try the other rooms at this location now! read more

Our group of 4 just did the second chapter (the Tavern) room tonight and had so much fun! First of all, it seemed as though cleanliness and sanitation were both thought through here. The man who checked us in and got us situated was wearing a mask with a can of Lysol handy. Second, the room itself was great. This was my 1st escape room and I loved it!! We did the Flame Thrower Escape Room and I had no idea what to expect. Obviously at first, it was really hard to get started since I didn't know what to look for. I was just utterly confused, so thank god I had a big group to do my part as well. The clues and answers were extremely clever I was mind blown by many of them. SUCH A BLAST! However, we didn't end up making it out...we were off by 2 numbers in the last combination where the key was to escape. SO CLOSE. I'll have to be back to try the Wizard room. read more

I used to think if it wasn't scary horror themed it wouldn't be that fun, but I was wrong! This spot has created a quarantine friendly escape room on their rooftop! It has puzzles and locks, and cute decorations and interactions with a "game master". Think like the board game CLUE, where you have to figure out who died how and where and why. Similar to that. My date and I got a little lost and ended up missing our 15-minute early window, but he was very gracious with us and got us in and rolling quickly. I will definitely be back to do the other rooms as soon as Newsom decides to pull his head out of his asss and open more than just retail stores. read more

Completed "Tavern" today. We've done a little over 20 escape rooms as a couple. The room was immersive and challenging. Good mix of traditional lock-based puzzles and some really fun intuitive puzzles that highlight the room's theme. Jay was a great game master and you can tell he really loves his craft! Last night, I took two of my friends for their first ever escape room experience. We started with "Enchanted Forest", which was a really fun and creative romp around the enchanted woods, then we were also able to snag a spot in "Task Force Agency" right after, which is a challenging CIA-like mission. Due to time not being on our side, we didn't escape either room, but we did come very close. We had a lot of fun regardless, and shout out to Jada, who was super cool and really welcoming as well. While my friends are returning to the Midwest, I will definitely be back for more games in the near future with another team. read more
