I did the Atlantis room with 3 friends and it was the best escape room I have been to hands down. Josh was an amazing guide. He gave us a great intro and run down of the room when we arrived and then during the room experience, he chimed in the exact right amount of times without interrupting our experience. The room was so creative! There was something for everyone to get involved in and it was physical and tangible and had a variety of different puzzles. This is NOT an escape room with a bunch of lock boxes and keys and signs saying "Don't Touch" - this is a fully immersive theatrical experience from the moment you walk through the doors. Had a fantastic time at Hypnotic Escape Rooms in Van Nuys with our company's department this weekend! We tackled the Atlantis: The Forgotten City room, and the underwater temple setup was incredibly immersive. The intricate details really brought the adventure to life, and being in the entertainment industry, we couldn't help but appreciate the subtle touches that made it feel so real. The puzzles were engaging and just challenging enough to keep our large group hooked, sparking tons of laughter and teamwork. It was such a fun team-building experience, with everyone diving in and brainstorming together. Soooo much fun! We've done many escape rooms and this one was one of the best we've been to.

My husband and I came here with our friends (another married couple). We had a blast! From the outside, this place looks sort of like a small hole in the wall. But don't let that fool you! When you step inside, you're greeted by a very modern, cozy feeling lounge area for customers to wait until their room is ready. The space runs quite large, stretching back quite a ways. The hosts are very friendly and helpful! They provide a locker for your belongings and a tutorial video/briefing to help get you ready for the experience. We have only a little experience with escape rooms, and the hosts really helped us ease into the process. Our group took on the Atlantis escape room, and it was great! Without spoiling anything, let's just say it provides a sense of discovery and mystery that was fun for us to unravel. The puzzles were enjoyable to solve, and definitely encouraged (and sometimes required!) group play in a fun way. In the end, we completed the room! (With some hints here and there :p) One of the hosts named Artur also kindly offered to take our picture before we left. Super glad we came and we'll definitely be back! read more

Fun experience! There were some obvious puzzles and some harder ones. They were kind to give us more time when something wasn't working as well as towards the end when we were running out of time. Tried this escape room for the first time tonight and it was fantastic. Even though we arrived early, the staff got us started within minutes -- super efficient and welcoming. What really stood out was how interactive and creative the experience was. This wasn't the usual "find a key, open a lock" setup -- the puzzles were immersive and really made us think outside the box. Way more engaging than most escape rooms I've done. The staff member who set us up was incredibly friendly, passionate about the craft, and took time afterward to chat with us about the room and our favorite moments -- a really nice touch. A party of three and some team building success. Arthur was the one who helped book our escape room through the phone. He was nice and easy going. The location has an obvious sign, parking on the streets are metered. Would suggest to pay for 1.5 hours on the meter since the escape room is an hour long and you don't want to be caught with a ticket after your experience. This place is reservation based only, so either call or book online before heading over there. They currently have three rooms available and we had tried Escape LA. It was a lot of fun and the theme was on point. Unlike many of the Escape rooms, this escape room contains cool reveals when you solve your clues. The space was well decorated. Would recommend coming back here to finish the other escape rooms. read more

The owner Arthur was so accommodating since we were on a tight schedule to drive home he opened up 1hr early. The room was so immersive and challenging. We mos def need some hints to escape. The production value was off the charts, and we were blown away by the design and creativity in every space. You can tell the owners are truly passionate about escape rooms. The story and puzzles were crafted with incredible attention to detail, resulting in a seamless, immersive experience from start to finish. Arthur was the perfect game master. He knew exactly when and how to step in--he provided just enough guidance to help us untangle a couple of tricky moments without spoiling the fun. (There's nothing worse than unsolicited hints or vague, unhelpful clues--he was the complete opposite of that!) This was our group of 4's first time here. Two of us had only done one escape room prior to this. As beginners, we chose Escape LA because we read it was the least difficult. We loved it! It was so fun and appropriately challenging. I want to give a huge shoutout to Artur! He was very knowledgeable and attentive. After we escaped, Artur was kind enough to debrief us, answer all our questions, and give us the confidence to up our difficulty for next time. Ok sooo we didn't finish.. my friend and I swear we can get out of every escape room but apparently the Atlantis one failed us or maybe we failed Atlantis. Scott, Scotty or as I referred to him as "SCOOOOOOTTTTT!" He was very accommodating with our craziness and the Atlantis room is so well done I suggest everyone do this one for sure, it's very large and has a lot of fun things. (Don't spend too much time in the very first room because there are about 6 or 7 rooms you still need to get into after and maybe have 3 minimum people with you). Atlantis was spectacular and without giving anything away we really appreciated that there weren't any combination locks--it was all so much more immersive than the usual escape rooms are. None of our team had ever tried an escape room before, & we were exhausted from a tough week & a little anxious. Artur set us at ease immediately & made us feel very welcome & competent. We barely finished our escape room in time as it took us a while to figure out how to start, but once we realized we could move things around & got the sense of the puzzles, it was really fun poking into and analyzing everything. It is empowering to go from absolutely not having any idea where to start & then gaining some agency & working together to find things (there should be a finder & thinker in every group!). You can also get hints throughout if your team gets stuck. Just one piece of advice: try all the things! They all do something. If you can move something, you should! Don't let your friends talk you out of it And read carefully. There are also lockers to put your purse & coat or umbrella, so don't worry about that. read more

Awesome experience. We had a group of 5 with experience ranging from 5-50 rooms. The production value was off the charts. Possibly the most visually impressive room I've done so far and I've don't 25+ rooms so far. We managed to escape in 47 minutes with one clue. The puzzles were fun and satisfying and clever. We definitely needed the one clue but didn't feel badly for it. Our game master was Arthur and he was especially kind and spent several minutes with us afterwards, chatting about everything.
