I would say good clothes, and good shoes at great prices. The one star is because after months of trying to reach them to consign no one's ever gotten back to me. The theory is you're supposed to go on their website and make an appointment. There are no appointments. The website is broken. You can never find an appointment not a 8 o'clock in the morning not at nine not at midnight never. I was told by customer to check on the second Monday of the month at 9 AM because that's when the appointments open, the website was still broken. They do have a good clothes, so Yipee if you want to shop. It's great! For consigning you must have to know somebody. read more

They do loose a star because honestly the last three times we've been their the ladies who check us out seem like they are so annoyed to be their . Don't be fooled by the size of the store! Every inch is utilized efficiently, while still giving you plenty of room to move around freely without feeling cramped. There's dressing rooms available and all the items look clean and of good quality, especially for the price. The owner is friendly and accepts card and tap to pay. Today was my first time visiting to shop and consign. Dates and appointments fill up quickly, but that just says they have loyal consigners and shoppers. The whole process was easy, fair and Rebecca was very kind. Most of my items were taken, as I made sure to take relevant items for the clientele and new or gently used clothing and jewelry. The shop itself is organized neatly, very clean and dressing rooms are spacious. The prices were also very reasonable, many cute skirts from $18-$28, dresses no more than $40, most blouses under $20. I highly recommend for buying and consigning. Just remember to be patient as you may have to wait a month for an appointment to consign and be sure to call and ask when dates open online to book your appointment. read more

What a great shop staffed by friendly people! I recently retired, so have been sorting through my handbags and clothes, identifying things I no longer need as well as items I don't use/wear often. I found Encore online and sent an email through their website asking about selling or consigning the handbags. I received an email the next day letting me know of upcoming buying days. The way it works is that there are specific days/hours you can bring items in and, whatever they think they can sell, they buy from you in cash. There were three different buying days in March. I went to Encore on their first March buying day. It was my first time in the shop. It is arranged beautifully and had a true boutique feel. It is a far more pleasant space than many discount retailers where things seem haphazardly packed together. Every type of item was neatly sorted onto different racks: dresses, skirts, cardigans, blouses, etc. They also have sections with handbags, shoes, jewelry, and scarves. Clothing on racks was organized by size. All of the clothing looked clean and well-presented. The prices were very reasonable. Honestly, I have never shopped in a re-sale store, but I saw several cute things I would have tried on or bought, but I am trying really hard to stick to cleaning out right now! As far as the selling experience went, I was greeted by the woman behind the counter when I entered the shop. She saw that I was carrying bags, so told me where I could sit them down and that I could put my name on the list on the counter. It did not take long for my name to be called. The owner, then, looked at all of my items. There was no judgement or weird feeling--just a simple assessment of whether or not she could sell this in our neck of the woods, right now, and (if so) for how much. With one item, she looked it up on re-sale websites because she said that she tries to price a bit below them, encouraging people to shop local and not online. Makes sense! Overall, selling items I no longer use at Encore was a great experience and I could also imagine going back to browse because the shop was friendly, cute, and had nice things. If Scotts Valley Drive was more like Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos, I could imagine more people coming here and strolling the shops, including Encore. For now, it is a local gem. read more

She was probably the most friendly business owner I've talked to, she's so friendly it makes me want to give her all my business. I really enjoyed searching through this store. It had a variety of items for many different tastes. It was nicely laid out, had a few new items, and just felt fun, funky, and unique inside. The gal at the register was super helpful and sweet. She looked around for toys that my daughter could play with (apparently they had a toy basket usually for kids, but they were having a trunk sale that night and it had been moved). As a customer who has shopped at many thrift and consignment stores, I like Encore because: 1. way more variety and modern styles 2. GREAT prices 3. nice owner and so easy to work with If you are thinking about updating your wardrobe on a budget, this is the place to go. I love this store. I find little gems that I would pay out that Wazoo for in San Jose. I bought a red and white polka dot dress that was in the costume section and I actually wear it out often and get tons of compliments. Same with pretty much everything I find there. The prices are really reasonable as I said compared to Campbell and San Jose shops. The gals that work there are really sweet and actually key into what you are looking for and go to the racks and find it. Amazing that they have such a keen eye for what merchandise is on their shelves and actually help you find things. Oh and one other note that I like about this store. Everyone shopping in there makes it feel like you are shopping with your girlfriends even if you don't know them. I love talking to strangers and it's fun to get unbiased opinions. This shop is everything you could possibly want from a store - friendly, attentive staff and well-stocked with what you are looking for at prices that can't be beat. When I enter, I am not just a customer. I am Dru. I am greeted by name. Where else does that happen??? On top of that the staff always has a smile and something wonderful to say. They exude cheerfulness. The clothes are stylish and priced at a perfectly reasonable price. Overall, I love this store and the people working there. At the recommendation of a friend, I visited Encore in hopes of finding a dress for an upcoming baby shower. I arrived 15 minutes before closing, but the owner welcomed my son and I cheerfully. She personally helped me find a great strapless dress ($14) and cardigan. I cannot wait to go back to check out the rest of the store. I have shopped at Encore for about the last 5 years on and off and it is a great consignment shop! The previous owner was fabulous and the new owner is just as fabulous! Both are so inviting and friendly and I have always found at least one item that was perfect everytime I have shopped. It is a nice and open shop with a boutique feel, which is great! Love this place. Everything about it. I've purchased all kinds of great clothes and jewelry -- and I always get compliments on what I wear from here. Super great brands in great condition at fantastic low prices. (I got barely worn $400 boots for $60, I wore them almost every day this winter). She had a Coach bag for $80, that was running several hundred dollars on E-bay. (I totally regret not buying it) I impulse bought some things haven't worked out as well -- but really no big deal given how inexpensive everything is.
