I had reached out one weekend but they were away from the shop due to an event. I texted the number and Mario was able to set me up with an appointment for the upcoming Tuesday of that week. The process was pretty quick. Mario took my measurements, he explained the rental process, let me look at some designs and ultimately gave me freedom on the color I wanted. Price was what I expected between $250 and $300, including the 2 piece blazer and pants, white shirt, matching vest and two ties to choose from. They could have included shoes as well but I had my own pair. I'm not sure if that would have altered the price. It took about 5 days for it to be ready, as I could have picked it up the following Monday but it was a busy day for me. Mario even let me try it on and make alterations before I walked out ensuring that my suit was the perfect fit for my special day. Overall, the customer service was top notch and I felt like I was able to take my time throughout the experience despite all the stress that comes with getting married. Thank you, Mario for making my special day a day to remember!

The prices are beyond great if you love vintage clothing and know fabrics. I may have found my favorite dress of all time here for a whopping $14 (because it's a two piece set of decorative vintage fabric) it was in the premium section and the volunteers were adorable making sure I knew why it was priced this way. (I couldn't afford a yard of this fabric retail I'm giddy about a vintage two piece set that I can customize). To then discover that the proceeds go to support women's scholarships was the ultimate bonus! My grand total for everything was $54 and I happily gave my change to the donation bucket by the register. If you are in the area and love unique vintage items this is a must explore. I had to resist the urge to buy several of the tea cup collections. I'm a sucker for vintage tea sets and they have several that are stunning! Great shop, fantastic volunteers who are donating their time to support a wonderful cause.

I had a rush size up request on a very delicate wedding dress I bought from my favorite designer in Korea and wanted to make sure the original design was retained as much as possible. Josh was able to do this with utmost confidence and professionalism, and was able to fix my dress within a matter of few days, just in time for my wedding. I was on the verge of having a mental breakdown with the dress not being able to zip up, but Josh was so understanding of my needs and made me feel reassured every step of the way. The final product was as if nothing changed from the original design and most importantly, I could zip my dress up and breathe in it! Thank you Josh, you are a gem!! You made what I thought was impossible possible. I am forever grateful.

Here is how I landed on picking Josh over my other comparable option. First, customer service. My initial call with Josh's was met with patience and professionalism. The person who answered my call helped me understand what I'm trying to get done, how long it would take and a good estimate of how much it would cost. On top of that they answered me on the first call. I couldn't say the same about my other options. Second, service. Josh's website makes it easy to book an appointment. I went on, booked a 20 min consultation and arrived to my appointment. I want to say thank you to Josh for being patient because I arrived ten minutes late due to coming from the east bay and he still gave me the time and care he normally would if I came on time. Josh knew exactly what had to be done before I even told him anything. He just looked at me and started pinning things up--I was very impressed. He gave me his honest feedback and allowed me to pick the best option possible for my needs without being pushy about additional alterations/alteration methods. I felt like I was in very good hands. Last but not least, the work. Josh's is only open on Saturdays and closed Sundays--so I had to pick up my suit before work at 8 AM. I tried on my suit just in case I needed additional work and it fit like a glove. I felt ready like I was going to a red carpet event and you can tell how well he did from my photo. Everything fitted perfectly and I left extremely satisfied. The cost was also very reasonable for adjustments on both my blazer and pants--it came down to $200 cash flat and finish time was less than the estimated 2 weeks. So if you're looking for someone to get you ready for that special event in your life, I highly recommend heading over to Josh's. Price is reasonable, work is professional and customer service is topnotch.

Marina works so quickly and efficiently that starting 3 months was actually a bit early- 2 months would have been sufficient for me. The first fitting appointment was a bit of a whirlwind so it helped to have additional set of eyes as well as pre-meditation of what I wanted. After the initial alterations, there was only one additional minor alteration needed for my wedding dress. She did an excellent job fixing up the beading, with the overall fit, bustle, and changing the lining, and her prices were more than fair. I did have to ask to try on my dress after the 2nd round of alterations, as that was not part of their usual process. Marina holds onto the wedding dress and steams it right before you pick it up, which should be closer to your wedding day, so plan accordingly. I took my reception dress home after the first alterations, but after practicing for our first dance, I decided I wanted some additional security to keep the strapless dress up. I brought it back to Marina, who easily added an elastic band and clasp to the inside, and I was able to dance away comfortably on my wedding night.

I've dropped off donations at this location countless times over the years, and this was the first time I had someone walk up to my car and offer to help me unload my donations and kindly point me to the correct bins for where to place things (electronics, household goods, clothes, bags, shoes, etc). He also asked if I wanted my bags back and if I needed a donation receipt. The last time I donated items here, there was a guy working who practically screamed at me "No hangers!" to which I responded, "Sorry, I didn't know." - I put the bag of hangers back in my car but he definitely didn't need to yell angrily. So this visit was 100 times better, thanks to Deshawn. Goodwill, I hope you acknowledge the great and kind employee he is! Friendly tip: I had fragile wine glasses, pint glasses, and ceramic mugs to donate and I wrapped each item in packaging paper and bubble wrap and placed them in an open box. I was told this was a great way to donate fragile items so they don't break. The back parking lot where the donation drop off is located can get tricky to drive in/out of if there are more than few cars back there. It's basically a small loop with about 6 spots in the center. And when people are walking back and forth from their cars and the donation bins and cars are trying to exit or pull in, it can get dicey so a little patience will help!

They direct you to where the items go and if requested will help with unloading your stuff. They do provide receipts if you want one. The parking area towards the donation side is a bit tight and can get busy over the weekend. I want to give a shout out to Isaac who was so pleasant and very helpful. He helped unload my car with so much energy and friendliness- makes you want to keep finding things to donate just because of how pleasant he made the process. In comparison, I dropped off my donated items this morning (Monday) and Chris was rather surly at first. He chided me for not parking in the lane - there was no one near me and I was there right when they opened. I re-parked my car to be sure I was between the lines! I asked for assistance and he finally did help after I made about 3 trips back and forth to my car. Night and day in the help service at Goodwill. Seeing that this location is in the heart of Silicon Valley, my label expectations were on the higher side. Hoped for Vuori (none) but found loads of Lululemon, Athleta and Gym Shark. Pricing is comparable to San Francisco price tags, but the store is far better organized and much cleaner than its city counterparts. No dressing rooms but there are a few mirrors at end-caps so wear appropriate undergarments if you'd like to do a public try on. 7 day return policy with tags attached and receipt (standard). Spent about an hour and found and took home Beyond Yoga, Seasalt Cornwall, S' Max Mara, Alex Mill and AYR jeans - spent a little over $70 for five items. Yes, pricing is high but in my opinion, level of labels and clothing conditions reflected the cost. Would I visit again? Yes if I am in the area and have some free time, otherwise, I find the same level of goods in San Francisco. My one critique is that although they do have specific color tag sales, the discount is only 20% off unlike in SF where it is 50% off.
