The presentation is pretty good considering it's takeout and the quality of the sushi is high. Really good rice to fish ratio. No bad textures. Just overall really great. The tuna was so tender and fatty which really went with the roe they put on top. My meal was pretty light overall but they also serve Maki if you're looking for something heavier. Regarding my order, the goma shoyu tuna, the fish was good, but not great and for my bowl at least, I felt it was lacking in flavor. I did not taste any chili oil and the only real flavor present in the dish came from the seaweed salad. Chikarashi does not allow you to make your own poke bowl, which I feel is unfortunate. I usually like to get both tuna and salmon and add a bunch of toppings/ingredients and that is not an option for any of their bowls.

I've tried the sashimi, salmon lover set, and even their sushi and sashimi combo and they have been fresh all the times I've had it. The downside is that you don't get a range of different fishes, but I can't expect too much from a grab and go spot. I definitely think it's a good takeout sushi spot for the area if you want something simple. The takoyaki here was crispy on the outside, not drowning in sauce, and had multiple pieces of octopus! But unlike several other sushi restaurants, where lunch specials are often the standard teriyaki bento boxes, I was blown away by the quality of the food. Each lunch deal comes with either white or miso soup, a salad, and two side dishes (rotating according to the day). My white miso soup was bright, light, and flavorful -- I love that they add yuzu for extra zest. The salad was also a larger portion than I expected and came with a really delicious dressing. The two appetizers we each got were a kind of tempura chicken -- super tender, with a crispy tempura layer on the outside -- and a mushroom dish. For the main entree, I ordered the mixed sushi with spicy salmon, which came with 4 pieces of nigiri and 6 spicy salmon maki rolls. I was really shocked by how good the fish was, including in the maki rolls -- the freshness of the fish was on par with much higher-end omakase spots that I've been to. And though I was worried that the 10 pieces of sushi would leave me hungry, together with the rest of the set meal, I left feeling full and happy.
