    Fish tacos
    Jerry H.

This is one of two vendors open in the food court today so we chose this one before checking Yelp. I wish I would have checked Yelp first. We ordered four dishes from the counter and waited a very long time for fish and carne asada tacos. Service was friendly, nice but was very slow. I think we waited over 23 minutes for tacos that would have taken Roberto's or Rubios 5-7 minutes to make. The side of beans were very salty. We threw it away. I was expecting fabulous food if it's made to order. It was not. The food was average but filling for us. Fish tacos were probably best on the menu items. I would not recommend the shrimp cocktail. It is very expensive and not worth the price. The shrimp cocktail is filled with tomato juice and does not have much cucumber, tomato, cilantro and mixers with the shrimp. It was a big cup of tomato juice and shrimp inside. We threw most of it away. If you're hungry, try another place such as Five Guys or McDonalds in the mall. If you order from here, it's going to be awhile. Long waits + average food + high prices = 1-2 star Yelp reviews.

1 of 4 vendors at the Cabezon food court (the 5th vendor was closed). 5 stars from me for the fish tacos! Made fresh to order which is why it took so long to cook (thoroughly cooled all the way through, and no giant blobs of batter. $10 for these giant tacos! Check out the fork for size!! It tastes just like the tacos we had when we were in Ensenada. I removed a star because the food court is fairly small, and most of the people there just hanging out in the air conditioning while nursing an ice cream or drink. There's not much you can do about that. Just eat and leave a clean table so others can sit and eat tol.

    Baja fries 2022

I used to hype this place up regardless of the reviews because the Baja fries WAS*** the best thing to order. Whenever I came to cabazon, this was what I would eat every time. Unfortunate as of April 2023, they put lower quality ingredients in their food. First photo is 2022 with large shrimps and steak, now 2023 it's tiny frozen shrimp and ground beef. I'm sad to say this will be the last time I come here because they're penny pinching on ingredients. Disappointed for sure.

Slow and overpriced. How are the drinks the same price as the entrees? 15 minutes for 4 al pastor tacos. Also, not sure how kiosks like this have higher prices than places in the food court that pay for higher rent. No way this place last.

Honestly, for the price, this wasn't a good deal. The staff is friendly, but they need to step up on the food delivery. I won't be coming back here.

    Saddest California Burrito Ever

Food here is horrible and bland. I was starving and grabbed a burrito, let's just say they wrap the burrito like a giro.

Food tasted old and was overpriced. Not worth it whatsoever. The workers were nice though.

I had the combo plate for $16 which includes a small drink to go along with your choice of protein (I got the pork al pastor), refried beans, and seasoned rice. You have your choice of toppings, which in my pics is hiding the al pastor unfortunately! Good selection of toppings, your choice of 3 different salsas which are packaged as shown. The taste of the pork was pretty good and the amount given was generous. The refried beans and rice were pretty typical - nothing special. The corn tortillas that come with the combo plate are very small, so it's not like you can make soft tacos with them and use up any more than maybe 10% of the plate - it's fine, but more of an afterthought than a stack of tortillas you might find with a fajita dish typically. Luckily, nothing here was over seasoned or extra salty - it just tasted overall pretty good even if it's not the level that you'd go out of your way to go there. Given it's in a casino and could be exorbitantly priced, the value for what you get is pretty good! Out of the various options here in the food court, this personally would probably be in the top half, but not the top.

Flavor wise, it was kinda bland, both the quesadilla and the guacamole. A little salsa, spice or even salt would have added a bit more flavor IMO. The employees as well as the service was great on the other hand. Food was made to order and everyone was so friendly! There is an ample amount of seating BUT it was filled with people NOT even eating. SMH Don't forget to show your Morongo players card to redeem your points, if you have them! The birria is super tender and imparts every ramen noodle with so much flavor. It's very oily but did not feel overwhelming. Everything else was good too. The horchata agua fresca was not watery or too sweet; I could taste the rice. The loaded fries are great, the burritos and tacos as well. The plain nachos we good too but not as good as everything else. Lots of food for the price. Lots of space and sauces on each table. They were out of hot water unfortunately. The service was great with the waiter coming to ask if we needed anything several times. The walls are filled with pretty decorations and Bible verses; I feel like I'm in Mexico or Spain. When we arrived, the place felt small and intimate, which gave it a cozy vibe. I ordered the chile verde burrito, and my partner had a torta. The burrito, in my opinion, needed a bit more salt it came across a little bland. The torta was okay as well, but nothing really stood out. Overall, the food was decent, just not particularly memorable, especially considering it was slightly pricier than expected. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly. She even offered to bring our food to the table, which didn't seem to be their usual process. It appeared that guests typically order at the counter and pick up their food themselves, but she went out of her way to take our order tableside and deliver it to us. That level of attentiveness was definitely appreciated. Parking is pretty limited since the location sits on the corner of a main street, so you're probably better off finding street parking nearby.

Everything was not authentic at all- ingredients used for these traditional thai dishes were not correct & the flavors were disgusting for the beef boat soup, mama noodle plate, & beef thai rice with two iced thai teas. Mind you it was all $97! Insane, this isnt a restaurant either! You sit outside with the flies and I guess they even knew how gross it was too. We would not reccommend- we had to throw it away after 3 bites. You would think for these prices were at a restaurant. So either theyre making up for having rent at the outlets or something. It was actually so insane and we shouldve also checked the yelp reviews like Jennifer said as well. I agree with her and it is true theres a reason why they dont show the prices on their trucks and I assume not until you ask for a paper menu I assume? Also likeeee HOW DO YOU MESS UP THAI TEAS?! It's quite small, but feels cozy, welcoming, and authentic. The service was great and I LOVE that I didn't have to ask for the extras, like the salsas, cebollitas, etc. A small act that goes a long way. The cebollitas and jalapeños added on top added flavor to my burrito. It was thoughtful of them to add it on top because it didn't melt the to go plate considering our food was cooked fresh. I'd be lying if I didn't say that was one of my concern; but I was so stoked to know my food stayed warm and tasted so delicious when I made it home. Don't get me started on the salsas! The sazón and variety of spice level is everything for me; so I loved that I had options. From the mildest to the spiciest level salsa, I can say they were all made with some love. My favorite was the most spicy, it was so spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it! Heheh Loved the agua fresca options & that you can also get micheladas there. Lastly, it was well proportioned, I got full with some leftovers, which is always a WIN WIN for me Giving it five stars based on my first experience, will most definitely go back for more in the near future!
