    Fish tacos
    Jerry H.

This is one of two vendors open in the food court today so we chose this one before checking Yelp. I wish I would have checked Yelp first. We ordered four dishes from the counter and waited a very long time for fish and carne asada tacos. Service was friendly, nice but was very slow. I think we waited over 23 minutes for tacos that would have taken Roberto's or Rubios 5-7 minutes to make. The side of beans were very salty. We threw it away. I was expecting fabulous food if it's made to order. It was not. The food was average but filling for us. Fish tacos were probably best on the menu items. I would not recommend the shrimp cocktail. It is very expensive and not worth the price. The shrimp cocktail is filled with tomato juice and does not have much cucumber, tomato, cilantro and mixers with the shrimp. It was a big cup of tomato juice and shrimp inside. We threw most of it away. If you're hungry, try another place such as Five Guys or McDonalds in the mall. If you order from here, it's going to be awhile. Long waits + average food + high prices = 1-2 star Yelp reviews.

1 of 4 vendors at the Cabezon food court (the 5th vendor was closed). 5 stars from me for the fish tacos! Made fresh to order which is why it took so long to cook (thoroughly cooled all the way through, and no giant blobs of batter. $10 for these giant tacos! Check out the fork for size!! It tastes just like the tacos we had when we were in Ensenada. I removed a star because the food court is fairly small, and most of the people there just hanging out in the air conditioning while nursing an ice cream or drink. There's not much you can do about that. Just eat and leave a clean table so others can sit and eat tol.

    Baja fries 2022

I used to hype this place up regardless of the reviews because the Baja fries WAS*** the best thing to order. Whenever I came to cabazon, this was what I would eat every time. Unfortunate as of April 2023, they put lower quality ingredients in their food. First photo is 2022 with large shrimps and steak, now 2023 it's tiny frozen shrimp and ground beef. I'm sad to say this will be the last time I come here because they're penny pinching on ingredients. Disappointed for sure.

Slow and overpriced. How are the drinks the same price as the entrees? 15 minutes for 4 al pastor tacos. Also, not sure how kiosks like this have higher prices than places in the food court that pay for higher rent. No way this place last.

Honestly, for the price, this wasn't a good deal. The staff is friendly, but they need to step up on the food delivery. I won't be coming back here.

    Saddest California Burrito Ever

Food here is horrible and bland. I was starving and grabbed a burrito, let's just say they wrap the burrito like a giro.

I had the combo plate for $16 which includes a small drink to go along with your choice of protein (I got the pork al pastor), refried beans, and seasoned rice. You have your choice of toppings, which in my pics is hiding the al pastor unfortunately! Good selection of toppings, your choice of 3 different salsas which are packaged as shown. The taste of the pork was pretty good and the amount given was generous. The refried beans and rice were pretty typical - nothing special. The corn tortillas that come with the combo plate are very small, so it's not like you can make soft tacos with them and use up any more than maybe 10% of the plate - it's fine, but more of an afterthought than a stack of tortillas you might find with a fajita dish typically. Luckily, nothing here was over seasoned or extra salty - it just tasted overall pretty good even if it's not the level that you'd go out of your way to go there. Given it's in a casino and could be exorbitantly priced, the value for what you get is pretty good! Out of the various options here in the food court, this personally would probably be in the top half, but not the top.

When we arrived, the place felt small and intimate, which gave it a cozy vibe. I ordered the chile verde burrito, and my partner had a torta. The burrito, in my opinion, needed a bit more salt it came across a little bland. The torta was okay as well, but nothing really stood out. Overall, the food was decent, just not particularly memorable, especially considering it was slightly pricier than expected. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly. She even offered to bring our food to the table, which didn't seem to be their usual process. It appeared that guests typically order at the counter and pick up their food themselves, but she went out of her way to take our order tableside and deliver it to us. That level of attentiveness was definitely appreciated. Parking is pretty limited since the location sits on the corner of a main street, so you're probably better off finding street parking nearby.

It definitely has a cool street-food vibe with different food options to choose from. Prices were about food-court range (around $12-$18 per plate). I ordered the beef pad Thai, but sadly it was pretty dry and didn't hit my Thai food craving . I also asked for lime (because pad Thai NEEDS lime ‍ lol) and they didn't have any available. One thing to note: the portions come on very small brown plates and honestly felt more like sampler sizes than full meals. Seating is also limited. There isn't much space right by the vendors, and you have to walk a few feet away to find just a few tables and chairs. They do offer other foods besides Thai (some street-food style and Asian-inspired options), so there's variety if you're with a group Overall, cute concept and convenient while shopping, but portion size, dryness, and seating made it a little underwhelming for us

She was kind and patient so I really appreciated her suggestions. Food was hot, fresh, crisp and honestly surprisingly good. I'm not a huge shrimp fan (why I landed on shrimp is beyond me) but it was delicious. Tasted good quality, cooked well so it was not rubbery and was pretty yummy. Huge portion as well, had two coworkers split the rest as I was absolutely stuffed. Interior was casual, comfortable.
