Service was great and offered suggestions. Cute clean place, love the outdoor seating. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh. Best burrito that I've ever had!!! Ceviche was perfect.

My favorite new spot for fish tacos. Yesterday I got the grilled mahi taco today I did the regular fried fish tacos and potato hardshell taco. All were delicious and fresh, so glad I found this place!

Surf and Turf burrito to go, served cut in half. Not a small burrito...

It's not that I did not enjoy my food here, but it just seems a bit steep for what you get: Fish ceviche - pretty good, not amazing, does hit the spot when I have a craving for ceviche. Surf and turf burrito - This is not bad at all, but is basically a straight up carne asada and shrimp burrito. It is fairly large, and it better be for $20. While I enjoyed it, I would not get it again because it is sort of a novelty. I'm going to round up to 4 stars because everything is alright, but there are a few places in the vicinity I would prefer for slightly pricey Mexican food.

Always on the hunt for new fish taco spots and this one is near the top. Love the freshness of their salsas and tacos and the batter on the fish is not too thick. They have a condiment bar where you can get raw onions and peppers which I think is a must. They have battered or grilled options and I got the fish, shrimp, and a combo that has both fish and shrimp in one taco. I do prefer the fried fish over grilled but grilled is also good on certain occasions. Very fast and friendly service and a very casual ambiance. They take your order at the front and you find a table and grab your own condiments. Great lunch spot for a quick meal

I came in for a quick bite to eat on a Friday evening. As I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I'm ready to order. I took a couple minutes as I glanced at the menu. Luckily, the place was not packed and I had my food in minutes. 2 Carne Asada Tacos 2 Baja tacos The Carne Asada was so juicy, and the tortilla was a perfect size (Parentheses it wasn't the little small tortillas) The Baja taco had shrimp in it as well as swine fish, as well as a big tortilla that was pretty close to looking like a burrito (delicious) Order came with an orange spicy Chile sauce that was perfect and not too too hot! This was my first time trying this place. The inside was nice and welcoming. Staff was great and attainable and I look forward to coming back again.

The battered fish tacos are really hefty here. I came here for fish taco Wednesday and the two fish tacos was $5.98, so about $2.99 per fish taco. Prices have increased for this deal but still a really great value and you can definitely get full off of two fish tacos. The whole taco needed more sour cream and salt in general but the lemon, onions and plentiful hot sauce options at their tables helped a lot! The condiment bar was standard and the pickled onions were nice and spicy, the lemons were juicy and big. Would definitely return if I'm in the area and craving a fish taco. Service: Very quick and efficient, had my tacos within 5 minutes. Ambience: Casual seating and chill vibes. Restroom: They have one, not sure of the state of it since I stopped by for a quick lunch. Parking: They share a lot with multiple businesses, wasn't too hard to find a spot on a Wednesday afternoon.

Great spot to stop at after arriving at LAX. We got a couple of their Battered Fish Tacos. They came with cabbage, pico de gallo, cream and salsa. They're farily priced for $4.25 but just a tad bit small. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the tortilla got a little soggy to quickly. The staff was friendly, but they didn't hear me when I told them I wanted to dine in. So by placing my tacos in a to go container, it will mess with the crispness of the fish taco as well as making the tortilla soggier. The tacos would have definitely tasted better if they were never placed in that container, and then having to wait again to get them on a plate. Will definitely be returning though. A quick side note, the tajin type of spices they put on their chile heueros is brilliant. Definitely going to have to do that at home.

Really flavorful fish bowl! Good value for lunch too. I assume most locations are good, but really enjoyed the one in El Segundo.

Went by today, Sunday, says it's supposed to be open but it was closed at 2:25 pm. So have they closed?

They randomly close early & have hours with nothing like those posted. Plus they aren't good about picking up the phone to inform you of what is going on in this regard.

People of all backgrounds are there and feel welcome. All of that is complimentary. You feel good eating fresh food outdoors surrounded by folks enjoying life. I had fried oysters. I inquired. The clams are strips, as indicated, not bellies. Given those choices, I prefer oysters. I also had the garlic bread. That was more mild than I prefer; I'd like to reek (not everyone, including my wife, appreciates that). I also had a big beer. That is a separate line. I'd go back. I'd bring my wife.

The ribs had a slightly sweet taste to their sauce which is totally up my alley. My sister loved the meatloaf. The soft protein mixed with the crispy onions and veggies was a good mix. The appetizers were so good; the shrimp was nice and plump. The steak in the petit plate was so tender. And the chicken piccata was hearty and plentiful. The sushi roll was meh though. The Bloody Marys used to be exceptional, accompanied by their delicious fried blue cheese-stuffed olives. This time, I had to ask for the blue cheese olives, and they were served separately and were very different than they were in the past. The asparagus fries were also disappointing and not nearly as good as they used to be. For our entrées, the Chilean sea bass was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were so dense it was like eating plaster. Overall, the food simply did not meet the standard Nick's was once known for. What was most disappointing was the experience with my certified service animal. Despite dining with a service dog, no one offered a water bowl, and I was told that I could not feed her the plain burger patty I had ordered and paid full price for. The interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like the Nick's we used to love. It's disappointing to see such a decline in both food quality and hospitality from what was once a favorite destination.

Decided to try and share savory and sweet after asking the server what was popular. The server mentioned that they are known for their biscuits so we got the biscuit egg Benedict and she was definitely right because the biscuit as the base was amazing and the best part. The rest of the benedict were standard with the runny egg and prosciutto. We also got the peach french toast which was not too sweet as the walnuts and peaches pair well. The location is convenient, right on the street and close to Manhattan Beach, so it felt like an easy spot to check out We ordered a bunch of different dishes to get a feel for the menu. Overall, the food was good, but I'm not totally convinced it matches the price point. The prawn was definitely a standout -- really delicious and probably my favorite of the dishes we tried. The cookie was a little on the dry side, though, and the steak was honestly underwhelming for a $120 price tag. The drinks were much more impressive: well-made, nicely balanced, and definitely on the sweeter side Service was definitely on point. They weren't constantly checking in, which I actually appreciated, but whenever we needed something, someone was there and very attentive. Everyone was also friendly and welcoming throughout the meal The ambiance leans more toward a bar-restaurant than traditional fine dining, but the interior has some classy design elements and definitely gives off that modern LA fine-dining feel I'd probably come back to try some of the other dishes before making a final judgment. There were definitely some highlights, and overall, I'd still say it's worth a visit if you're in the area -- just go in knowing the prices are on the higher side
