I have nothing but respect for the team at Entek. These guys know their stuff. I had an initial consult with Jeremy and then an on-site visit with Ivo. They had great ideas for how to deliver on my requirements. We had an old furnace and a non-functional AC unit replaced with a Mitsubishi heat pump--quite a huge upgrade. It's quiet, efficient, and impressive. The new system brings in fresh air and an air scrubber UV unit ensures it's as clean as possible. The outdoor unit is extremely quiet so as to not disturb my neighbors and was able to be placed on the side of my home where it isn't really visible from the street or any of the rooms. Ivo and Isaiah came out and worked two very full days to complete everything on time and to high standards. These guys don't over-promise / under-deliver--when they say they'll do something, they do it! I know they ran into some challenges with my 1940's home but they always found workable solutions. Ivo was good about giving me a post-install walk-through detailing how everything was set up and how it all works. He really went the extra mile to include putting in a little flooring under the new unit to bring up the aesthetics a couple notches! And they left the area clean as a whistle... no random construction materials left behind, no dust... nothing but a clean install. Did I mention they did a fantastic job? I can't recommend Entek enough. At the very least, it's worth having them out to bid on your project . I got 5 different bids and Entek was the best of the bunch. I had confidence in them throughout. It's no wonder they've been around for 70+ years. That experience really showed, customer service was top notch, and pricing was very competitive as well. salesman Zach came out I thoroughly discussed replacing ductwork and AC and heating unit. Had very lengthy conversation about what I was wanting the reason in Tech was even called was because during initial conversation with calling them they do duck installation that was the main reason and even speaking with Zack all of our units were working fine but to get our duck work replaced we would have to upgrade are units so that's when we got multiple quotes from them went and got a loan for work call back and was told that ductwork was not included even though in quote it says ductwork get a call telling me they would like to make this work etc comes back with the price in the low 30s compared to $24,000 huge difference really felt like this is a bait and switch went and got a $20,000 loan this now has cost me close to $600 for loan processing fees unfortunately. DO NOT GO WITH ENTEK! I highly recommend NOT going with Entek. We hired them to put in a "Ducted Ductless" so-to-speak, and it was a mess from the start. The foreman was an electrician who didn't map out the placement for the ducts. As a result, they kept attempting to put vents where we did not request placement. My husband, who, thank God, knows HVAC, literally had to walk them through it, show them where the ducts should go, and remind them of our requested vent placement. It's pretty bad when a company has to be told how to do its job. At more than one point throughout the job, my husband (who was at work and couldn't see what they were doing) was told that vents couldn't be placed in certain spots. So I came home one day to a vent butted-up against and along our bathtub. I was extremely unhappy but my husband told me they said it was the only option. The next day, I caught them drawing the guide for a 12x12 square return in our dining room that was 8 inches out from the corner. It was huge, and awful, and I put a stop to it immediately because it was sticking out into our dining room where the chairs/etc would be scraping over it constantly (we still have the outline there - they never removed it). This time, we went over the foreman's/workers' heads and called the company supervisor/manager, who came and did a walkthrough with us. Suddenly, when we raised enough of a stink about it, there were other options! In the end, we got our vents near walls and placed where we wanted, but they left us with a GAPING HOLE where they put the vent against the bathtub. They didn't fix it or cover it ("we don't do finish work"), they just stuck a block of wood in there that was too small and then a bunch of tiny shims in a vain attempt to make it not wobble in the hole. Oh, they also charged us $2k+ to "fix" these mistakes. We fought it and still ended up having to pay half. They also left us with a shaking/vibrating product outside our bedroom window. We called a tech TWICE to come out to fix it. Only the second tech figured out that the screws just needed to be tightened. UGH! We went with them, despite the higher cost, because of the reviews. Don't be fooled like we were. They are clearly used to installing for ppl who have no clue about HVAC and who don't know any better when told something won't work or when they don't do a job correctly. But we knew better. The work ended up being spread out over 3-4 weeks because of all of their mistakes. They planned other jobs and fit us in where they could. EDIT: In response to EnTek's reply to my review: We asked the workers, more than once, while they were onsite, if they could fix the floor. Each time, they said they couldn't, and said "we don't do finish work." So yes, my husband said he would take care of it because he didn't trust them to do it well/right when the workers made it clear that they couldn't. I'll add a star since they offered. read more

Entek sent out CJ and from the moment he showed up it was as if it was his AC that needed repaired. After many hours of research and several interviews with multiple companies, Entek was by far the most professional, well organized and honest companies that came to our home. We only had wall heaters and one window air conditioner. We chose an electric heat pump, ducted indoor air handler and a wifi programmable thermostat and air sensor. Everything from the initial phone call to let me know Entek's process was fantastic. Jeremy, our building science specialist was wonderful. He came prepared and was on time. He wore a face mask and booties and answered all of my questions. We had a proposal 2 days later. We loved that the proposal was turn key and included all equipment, materials, labor, electrical and permits. Our Lead Technician, Ivo came out to discuss our layout plan. He was so kind and knowledgable. The day of our install came and our amazing team Ivo, Dennis and Garett arrived on time and got right to work. They were professional, respectful of our home, wore booties, set down drop clothes, taped up areas that needed to be covered, vacuumed areas where vents were cut out and also before leaving the house, they kept our yard tidy and left everything clean and meticulous everyday when they left. Entek recently installed a Mitsubishi heat pump for us, and they did an outstanding job. They did quote me the highest bid, but in the end, they were worth the extra money. I was going to use another HVAC company, but their installer freaked out the day of the install and said the heatpump could not be fitted into the space available. I re-contacted Entek, and they came out and said it could be done. Having the installers do a pre-install visit is a nice touch. They also have their own electrician and sheet metal shop. They got the heat pump in with no real problems, and it was an amazingly neat job. All wires and connections were nicely hidden or covered. I've had 2 other furnaces installed in my home, and this was by far the most professional job. They have my highest recommendation. read more

I am very impressed with the service, Jon with Entek provided today. He did a complete cleaning on our ductless heat pump unit along with a thorough inspection of the unit parts. The main reason for service was the unit had a bad odor (especially when using the heat mode). He explained what he did and why. It made sense and seemed less complicated than I had thought. I have used this company for HVAC service at least 10 times in the last 20 years. Our system was poorly installed and designed by some other company, and has needed frequent repairs or upgrades. Today, I asked them to come out and make my furnace ducts more efficient. Also, my dryer vent was hanging in the air and my bathroom fan vent was disconnected. Igor showed up on time, and did an amazing job, removing the ends of all the old ducts and doing a professional job cleaning up and taping and sealing everything in the crawlspace and garage. I am deployed in the Military and in a bind, Called these guys to fix my Moms heater. They quoted 150 for diagnostic. They had good reviews, But you never know what you get these days. Well,They were out within 3 hrs of calling on Black Friday and fixed problem for only 100.00 and were there was 2 hrs rewiring panel as there was a fire hazard! They didn't even charge for parts. This guys are great. I had purchased a new heat pump from them. (Chris the salesman was very informative). The pricing was very good as I shopped around a lot. But when it came to the install they went above and beyond to make us happy. Entek did a free vent leak detection on all our ducts and to my surprise we were leaking at a rate of 25%. There crew came in and crawled under the house and in the attic and sealed up everything really good. The guys were very friendly and knowledgeable, and they cleaned up good after the job was complete. Entek performed air duct cleaning in my home yesterday. For all you non-believers in air duct cleaning, start believing. The first tangible benefits of air duct cleaning were clear by yesterday evening; more even distribution of heat in the house and a cleaner, crisper smell (according to my daughter). Tyler from Entek did a fantastic job. I asked many questions, helped him move things around the house, and watched him work. I learned a lot. He was very open to discussing and showing what he was doing. I can tell you this morning that the air quality in the house is better because my severe allergies are not as active as they were yesterday morning when we had the same weather outside. The long term benefits I hope are reduced dust in the house making house cleaning easier and more effective and even better air quality as my air purifiers keep pulling stuff out of the air and they aren't fighting the many years of build up in the air ducts. I've used Entek for my HVAC service needs for over 10 years. I have 2 heat pumps (one up, one down), and they've ran over 22 years. The main floor compressor finally died and I called multiple companies to give me quotes - including Entek. Their salesperson is very knowledgeable and gave me the best solution and price (there are so many options that it is not easy to get an apples to apples comparison). He took the time to help me figure out best solution and helped point out differences of options. Regarding install, they took the time to come out in advance of ordering and pre-measured everything, thus the day of install, there was no missing parts and everything fit very well together, including line set and line hide (highly recommend the spend for this). Installation was outstanding because of the professionalism of the installers, the quality of parts used and detail of all aspects of the install, and the commissioning process used. They were both very polite and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They also sealed all the vents in our attic after a nasty woodpecker had destroyed them. So a 100 degree day my air conditioner goes out and the next few days weren't getting any cooler. I called several other companies but all were 2-3 weeks away from seeing me. Entek was able to send a tech out within 2 days. But by paying a small fee they were able to send someone out after hours the SAME day as my call. Tristan was the name of the tech who arrived, and he was awesome. Very professional and worked very hard to solve my issue. Unfortunately he didn't have the part I needed on his truck, but he promised to check in the warehouse and see if he could be out in the next few days to finish the repair. First thing the NEXT morning I get a call from Tristan saying he had the part I needed and was able to come that afternoon to install. I can't convey enough how grateful I am to Entek and Tristan for squeezing me in to their tight schedule. You've earned a customer for life. These guys are great, totally saved us from a sweaty weekend. I called them (and about a dozen other HVAC repair places) Friday before the 4th of July. Most of these business didn't even answer their phone. Trish from Entek answered and was very friendly and polite, but she said there were no openings until the following week. I said I understand, but if any "after hours" become available, we don't mind paying the extra fee. I had little hope we would hear back. However, a few hours later, I received a call back from Trish stating that it would be possible to squeeze our repair in that night! Less than 30 minutes later, Chaz and Dave showed up. After extensive testing and repair, our system began to blow cold again! We really appreciate these guys going the extra mile when the other places we got in touch with said it would be MINIMUM one week's wait. When it is 100+ degrees, that is not good news.
