I was told that it's normal to have some sensitivity after fillings, now granted that has happened to me in the past, so I was OK with that. A month passed and I still had A LOT of sensitivity so I booked another appointment for the dentist to look over my teeth to see what the problem was. When I went there, she looked in my mouth and proceeded to tell me that what I really needed is a root canal and she gave me a referral????!!! This really pissed me off because she should've assessed that in the beginning instead of fixing three cavities which left me in pain in for a whole month then come back to tell me that what I really need it was a root canal. I feel like they did that to milk my insurance. It takes forever and a day to schedule an appointment because they very rarely answer the phones, and you can leave a million messages and not get a call back. I just got tired of chasing them to make an appointment so I decided to switch to my current dentist. They kicker of it all is that my new dentist had to redo the filling Watkins park did because the filling had cracked and chipped, and I also had to fix an ADDITIONAL cavity that I got due to one of the fillings that Watkins did that was not done correctly because the filling was pushing on another tooth which caused a cavity in that tooth.

During my visit, the office used the available X-rays and comprehensive examination benefits, but my cleaning was not performed. Instead, I was repeatedly encouraged to schedule another appointment for the cleaning. When I expressed concerns about the services and billing based on guidance I received from my insurance company, the receptionist, Joanne, told me that I could "go somewhere else." Considering I was there as a patient seeking care, I found that response extremely unprofessional and dismissive. I was also given a statement showing a $197 balance. When I questioned the amount, I was subsequently told that I did not actually owe anything and that it was simply how the insurance company processed the claim. My understanding from speaking with my insurance company was that the services were covered at 100%, so the billing situation was very confusing and frustrating. What bothered me most was the disconnect between the way the office presents itself and the way I was treated as a patient. I was made to feel as though my questions and concerns were an inconvenience. Ultimately, Joanne's suggestion that I go somewhere else turned out to be the best advice I received. I did exactly that, and I will not be returning to this office. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because patients deserve clear communication, transparent billing, and respectful treatment.

Kim is always very attentive and knowledge with any insurance information I may have. One time I had an emergency and she made it possible for Dr. Doerrer to fix my problem. The hygienist are both very kind, everytime I go for a cleaning they educate me with everything going on and give me great tips on making sure I keep up with my hygiene. Dr Doerrer himself is awesome! He always asks about my family. I can tell that he truly loves what he does. That he cares about whats happening and makes sure I understand my options. He isn't pushy about treatment but instead educated me about what was going on and the worst case scenario if I don't follow up with treatment. His assistants are very gentle and understanding. Office is a little hard to find because it's a home office that isn't facing enterprise road directly. But they have plenty of parking! Very nice office. Dr.Doerrer will always be my family dentist! Mossy importantly though, there wad this weird, cockeyed SCREW (like, aaaaaan actual SCREW) in the root bed. That was what the enormous and righteously painful abcess had formed around. I also appreciate the fact that I rarely spend more than a few minutes waiting out front before I am headed to the back to start my treatment. The dental staff take the time to explain what they plan to do before treatment start. They will explain what they are doing and approximately how long it will take before getting started. This is a big deal for me since I sometime get nervous when I get in the chair. While in the chair, Dr. Thompson's team are always attentive and take steps to minimize my level of discomfort. They do the same for my kids, making them feel comfortable. It's a big change from when I was little and feared visits to the dentist.
