I remember this "location" when it was two blocks further down the road. At that time, I would not have even given them zero stars. But now, the new team at the new location on West Street are great. I had had a terrible experience with a different rental company when I walked into Enterprise on West without a reservation for help. Christina was so professional and friendly. In less than 10 minutes, I had a competitive rate for the same class vehicle I previously had tried to rent. Zero hassles with the insurance. Quick service. What a relief! From the first telephone call, to the rental return, over the top customer service. I was first greeted by Kristina on the phone, arranging a reservation. Since a third party was paying, I did not have the information needed. Kristina provided the exact details needed, and when I called back a few minutes later, Robby was there to pick up with the rental. The information needed was exactly what Kristina had asked for and Robby was able to assure me the reservation was confirmed. Just before the site closing, my wife and arrived and could not have been met with a warmer greeting. It was a busy time for the staff, many folks coming and going, and it felt like we were the only customer there, So grateful for the excellent communication, from our welcome to our driving off, it was as if we were royalty. It did not stop there, the drop off experience was equally as good. Missed the name of the gentleman who checked us in, but did have a nice conversation with Damian. This is an office well run. It speaks highly of the management and the training effort. I love a good coach, and each one of the folks I had an opportunity to interact with, was excellent. BEWARE: If you do not arrive at your exact reservation time, do not expect a vehicle! I had a reservation and was told no vehicles because I wasn't on time for my reservation. Was told by the rude, arrogant, dismissive manager Tony, that it is like a dinner reservation. When has this ever been the policy? Certainly not at airport locations. I just think they were over booked because he tried to say I never even had a reservation. When I showed him reservation made online days before, he tried to say it was for a different day, he was looking at return date. Can't even read his own reservation. It wasn't until he saw time of pick up that he used the late excuse as to why he didn't have a vehicle for me. He refused to even check with other location. I do not even want to give 1-star! Have been long time Enterprise user and will never use this company again. They really left me in a serious bind and could have cared less. read more

Customer service 4.5/5 Vehicle 2.5/5 Paid a little bit extra for a premium vehicle comparable to my car. The oil change soon light was alerted on the dash when picked up, the rotors felt warped, and the alignment or tires needed service because the vehicle did not drive smoothly. The team was very helpful and considerate, I was really impressed with their customer service. However, when I did the inspection prior to renting, the agent said out loud the gas was 3/4 full. I returned it at 3/4 full. Apparently on the report he put 13/16 (false, the tank was not 80+% filled) of a tank and I returned with 3/4 and therefore I was charged for refueling. I drove the car 29 total miles and put gas in before I dropped it off. read more

Absolutely untrustworthy. They lied, Andrew PETERSON is a coward. When confronted about his incessant lying he won't even look you in the eye when talking to you because he knows he's a coward. I had rented a car AND PAID for it, got an oil change and taken care of the car (it was a Cadillac SUV) like it was my own. I paid over $2,000 out of my pocket for this vehicle after getting in a car wreck. Andrew lies, said he needed to do a "walk around" to "redo" the contract. When he looked inside the car, he immediately said he would be taking the car for servicing and we were not allowed to have the vehicle anymore. I persisted saying I had taken care of the vehicle as instructed and got all of the maintenance done because I liked the car. I told him to call his manager- Andrew LIED saying I was "hard to get a hold of" when in fact I had answered all emails and allowed them to charge my card whenever they wanted to. Which they did, without authorization. His manager and he argued with me, lied to me, then told me they were not allowing me to take the car back because they had closed out my contract (without my signature!! Without an agreement) and that I was no longer allowed to rent with them. Andrew Peterson is a liar, his boss Jose is a liar. Everything went well until the moment I returned the car 48 hours later. I only needed the car starting on Sunday morning but had to pay starting at 2 pm on Saturday as the location was closing at that time. Fine. I asked if I could have a grace period on Monday as i might not make it back by 2 pm. I was told I would have until 4:30 pm. When I dropped off the car, I was charged for an extra day and basically told that they put that in the contract (without making the charges known to me) and too bad that I signed. Btw, the whole process of signing the contract took 2 min in the rain. They refused to remove the charges even though I was not made aware. Turns out they also charged $25 simply for 'having the option' to return the car without a full tank of gas. The tank was full - they still charged $25. No supervisor ever contacted me after I wrote to complain. Ridiculous. read more

I travel a lot for business and often need a one-way car rental. Sometime I use Avis, Budget, or Hertz but usually I use Enterprise. They accommodate one-way rentals better than anyone else. I particularly like the rides to and from their offices. The Annapolis office near my home is one of the good ones. Set aside the difficulty of getting out of the parking lot at Chinquipan and West and this office is pretty good. Even when crowded they move pretty fast. When I schedule a pick-up ahead of time they are on schedule. When they make a mistake (no one is perfect) they fix it cheerfully and promptly. I do not hesitate to use the Annapolis office of Enterprise. It is apparent that other people feel the same. The Hertz office a couple of blocks down as begun picking people up and dropping them off to compete. That is good for all of us. read more

This place is unbelievably MESSED UP. We reserved a 3-row SUV a month ago, showed up the minute they opened at 9am, and were told that they had called us at 8:50am, but because we didn't answer our phone, they had given our car away. There's no way - they weren't even open to give it away - they were clearly bs-ing us. When we challenged their 10-minute call ahead "policy" - the rudest "customer service" agent ever said they were actually just cleaning it. When we said we'd take it dirty so we could get on the road to our vacation destination, he admitted they had no such vehicle but could get one from another location. TWO HOURS LATER, we finally had our vehicle. So much for getting to our destination before dark. Listen up, Enterprise - don't LIE to your customers and do NOT treat us rudely. Just own your mistake -say you forgot to arrange to have this sized car sent to your lot last night, apologize profusely, and then go get the one you clearly had at another location right away instead of wasting over an hour LYING to us. read more

I was scheduled to drop my car off at the auto body shop the next morning, and, since it has been a couple of weeks since I'd made my reservation with Enterprise, thought I'd better confirm I was still on their schedule. The man who answered my call assured me they had the reservation but that my insurance company had not sent them the ok, and I may have to pay out of pocket. I was happy I still had a car reserved and said I would call my insurance company and have them send the info they needed. The Enterprise employee said he could do that and would call me back. I expressed my gratitude and waited for his call. After a few hours I called back only to learn they had closed. I called my ins company and they were closed as well. (It was a Sunday.) The next morning, on my way to the body shop, I called my ins co and learned no one from Enterprise had called, but they immediately sent the info that Enterprise was missing. I still wasn't overly concerned since I had been assured I had a car reserved regardless. As soon as I hung up with the ins co, a woman from Enterprise calls to say they received the information. Cool, I thought, all appeared to be great. Then she informed me without any hint of apology in her voice that they did not have a car for me. Nope, no cars. But they did expect to have one around 4 pm. It was 8 am. I was a block from the body shop. I had been waiting for weeks for this appointment. She asked if I wanted them to pick me up and drive me the couple of miles to work and then get me the car later. Not having any choice, I agreed to leave work early on a very busy day, so I could fit with their schedule. I said thank you and hung up, apparently before giving her an opportunity to finish the call. She rang seconds later. She informed me that SHE was not finished speaking to ME. I said, yes, what else? She stammered and said that I should call them when I got to the shop. I told her that we had already gone over that. And hung up again I could not believe how nonchalant they were about dropping the ball twice--or her epic ego in calling me back. Needless to say, I never called them. I rescheduled with the repair shop and will use a different rental company in the future. read more

If i could give a negative number I would.... I rented a car for a month while my car was in the body shop. I had no problems until I took it back to them.. Most of the staff there are helpful and friendly but one guy.. I drop the car off and the agent who I was turning it in to goes out and checks the car. Comes back in and accuses me of damaging the back of the car.. Which I did not... There was never a walk around when I picked up the car so I didn't notice the damage until about a week later when putting groceries in the car.. which I thought they must have known about as it looked like it had been repaired. So I go on about my day.. Then when I take it back the gentlemen that waited on me tells me that the bumper has been repainted or switched Oh come on. accuses me of painting it.. REALLY!!!!!! I don't think so.... How would i even be able to da that??? Now they are trying to put a claim in to my insurance. Pisses me off.... As I did not damage their Stupid Toyota which they give me as a replacement for my Mercedes.. Not even close..... I will never rent from them again.......... read more

I love this Annapolis office! The manager Jon and his team always go beyond expectations with the great customer service and sincere appreciation for my continued business. They always call the next day and ask how the car is and if there is anything I need. A couple hours late on return? No worries. No need to be anxious thinking they are going to look at the clock and then clock-you with an additional day of rent. Any concerns with the car, help is only a phone call away. I always rent from Enterprise, unless I'm in the jungles of South East Asia and can't find a local Enterprise office. Why else would I ever rent from another company? read more

If you are looking to have excess and unexplained charges on your card, and you would like to be hung up on when trying to resolve these issues, then this is the place for you! Terrible customer service all around. I needed a car last minute, and they were the only place with cars available. After I returned the car, I saw that there were multiple random charges on my card that the sales associate could not verify what the charges were for. When I pressed him to figure out what they were for he simply hung up on me. I was hung up on multiple times and when I asked for the manager again, the employee hung up on me. No surprise, but it is clear that no one who works there wants to be there. Moreover, if you do end up renting, ask for an itemized break down of the charges BEFORE you sign anything or agree to rent the car. I had to ask a few times to see this, and it turns out that the associate was adding things to my rental agreement that I did not need like the insurance, which I did not need because I have my own really good insurance. Theirs would have doubled the cost of my rental, and he tried to make it seem like he was giving me a deal for the car. No thank you! Spend your money elsewhere. Still waiting for an explanation of the charges that they said would drop off after " a few business days". The charges are now over a week old. This is the best experience I have had with a Rent-A-Car Company. I left my car at Signature Auto Body to have a dent repaired. My rent a car was ready when I arrived. It was a 2018 Nissan Altima. The car was easy to drive and made the experience pleasant. I returned the car and was warmly greeted by the receptionist at Signature. Signature kept me informed during the entire process. My insurance company Geico, Signature Auto Body and Enterprise Rent-A-Car are conveniently located on West street in Annapolis all in the same building. Five stars to all and thank you. read more

As I was returning the vehicle I rented at 8:26 am. The place is busy with only one person at the counter, there's a line and I was in uniform. Everyone else is white, the attendant who was white looked at everyone else before he even asked if I needed help. Even though I was there before the other person. I rented a car from these "professionals" and treated it like my own. The car was driven carefully and garaged while in my care. When I returned it Enterprise claimed it was damaged by hail. Very tiny (and I do mean "very") dimples in the top of the car was presented to me as my responsibility. Anyone could easily miss this on a walk-around inspection as most people are not expecting damage on the roof of a car. I pointed out that I could easily prove: a) there were no hailstorms anywhere near the vicinity where the car was driven; and b) the car was under cover when parked. No matter - within minutes (while I was walking out of the door) they filed a claim with my insurance company. About 2 hours after the claim was filed the manager called me to remind me I had signed a contract in which an Act of God was my liability. What to do? Well, first I cancelled my company's contract with Enterprise. Second, I did a little research on-line that revealed this to be a pattern with Enterprise; I was stunned by the number of identical complaints. Third, I called the National Climatic Data Center and requested a certified timeline of weather events in the region where the car traveled. Fourth, I penned a cordial letter to the COO of Enterprise, I made sure to include the names and details of the people I dealt with. I called my insurance company to alert them to expect a claim from Enterprise. Though the Office Manager promised to hold back any claim before 'his boss' had a chance to speak with me, in fact they had immediately filed a claim and my agent already had it in her hand. Does that sound like a company trying to honesty get to the bottom of things and find out the facts before acting? Since apparently this pattern is widespread within Enterprise the problem might be a corporate policy of revenue generation, or it could just be a couple of rogue local managers trying to pump up the books - if the latter Enterprise corporate needs to know so the problem can be addressed. Be wary of this company. I will never rent from Enterprise again. Their practices are unscrupulous. We all have other options. read more

Called from 11AM Friday to 1PM Saturday but could not get through. I finally got a supervisor at the main number to connect me to the branch. I can't say how many times I heard the hold message say "We'll pick you up!". When I finally spoke to someone at this location, he said we can't pick you up. SMH. UPDATE: I found that this location is completely understaffed. Enterprise is expecting far too much from them. John, who works the location, although overwhelmed, was very helpful and took good care of me. Regardless, Enterprise is a terrible company for not giving its locations what is needed to keep their "We'll pick you up!" commitment. Find another rental company. read more

So, I needed a rental car because my car was in the body-shop. The damage was covered by my insurer and the body shop had an Enterprise desk to get a car. The transaction was very smooth; I had reserved my car on-line when I scheduled the inspection & drop off of my car. All very user-friendly. My insurer gave me coverage of $900 for a rental car (the policy allows up to $30 per day). In this scenario, one should be able to rent a car for a 30 days). I requested a compact/economy car (which should be the cheapest). Now, this part is my fault, when I picked up the rental car, I did not ask about the weekly rate, because I foolishly assumed that when you request a compact/economy car through your insurer/the body-shop endorsed by your insurer that the $30 daily rate would apply. I must have been given a car at a rate of $100 per day, as my insurer stopped paying Enterprise after 9 days. My issue is that Enterprise was not upfront about the costs of the car. At no time did the representative tell me what the daily rate was. Again, my fault for assuming that if I was exceeding the daily limit for a vehicle, they would let me know so I could decide if I wanted a different vehicle. Especially as I requested an economy car. Also, my car, which was supposed to be ready at the body shop on the 19th, was not ready until the 27th. It feels like a bit of a scam, to me. This occurred at a Pasadena, MD location. I don't want to name the body shop, because I don't think it was their issue, but I am not happy with the Enterprise representative and the opacity of the rental car business. read more

Then when I got the rental agency, they "had no cars" and we had to wait for another hour. I expected more timeliness than that! No apologies given... I wish there were negative stars to give this location. We were trying to catch our airplane to deploy last minute and made a reservation. We hit some traffic getting there, but called twice to inform them. Once 30 minutes out and once 10 minutes out. They said they would wait for us. We arrived at 612 to the location. I will not hide they close at 6 pm but twice they said they would wait. Well from the rating you can imagine they didn't. You would think it would end there but it only got worse. I called enterprise To find an open location. I was on the phone for ten minutes when an employee arrived. She was friendly and informed us she was just returning for the night from picking up a rental but that her boss had locked up and could not help. I get that and that is not what sent me over the edge. After another 10 minutes , now 630 ish the front door opens and out walks the assistant branch manager and the previously mentioned employee. I was dumb founded , the assistant manager saw us arrive and watched us in the parking lot for the whole 20 minutes. I asked her why her employee would tell us he would wait and then not be there . She stated" yes, he was sitting in front of me and I heard him talking about the fact you guys were going to be late. But we are closed and can't help" then walked away. Are you kidding me? So instead of helping a customer who she saw in the parking lot she decided to lock the doors, ignore us then just walk on by. If your still reading this you may wonder can it get worse? Yes, yes it can. The gentleman who said he would wait was sitting in the parking lot next door also watching us the whole time. Luckily our good friend came and drove us giving up a night with his 9 month pregnant wife. I hope anyone who reads this will not rent from this location. I hate to say all of enterprise because their service rep was appalled , but this location and this assistant manager in particular. read more

First to Review I often rent "one way." The process worked perfect here. Everything was as it should be. Max, "manager" was helpful, courteous, professional, and expedient. They picked me up across town on a busy day with a huge boat show going on. Dropping the car at JFK was just as smooth. I've read the other reviews for this branch. Doesn't make sense! I arranged to return a car at this location I called when they opened and gave my information and explained that I would need a ride as soon as I arrived because I was going to work. I arrived as arranged and was told the driver was out but would be right back... I waited about 10 min and a blue car drove up and dropped off a customer, I asked is that the driver because I really need to get to work I was told no but the rep went outside and told him to pick someone else up. I continued to question and was then told the driver would be there in Two minutes, 12 minutes later I asked again and asked if someone else could drive me and was told we are busy, however I was the only customer when I arrived. 10 minutes later the same blue car came back and I was told that is the driver, I said you all have no integrity because it was more important to bring customers in then to honor your advertised promise of a customer ride. I was treated very poorly and definitely not recommend this location especially if you are a woman..... read more

I have been a VIP member for years and have never had a bad experience. They have always treated me with respect and professional service. However since the they have been under new management in November this Enterprise has been the WORST! Andrew Peterson does not represent the quality of service that I have come accustomed to with this location. He is condescending and disrespectful. I even mentioned during our first encounter that he was coming across a bit aggressive and he said "well that's your interpretation" . Well duh you thats why I shared it with you. I watched his encounter with another gentleman and he was so irate with his demeanor he left and took his business elsewhere. It finally took for my husband to intervene for him to turn into to the coward he really is. Yes a complaint was made to the regional manager with no resolve so I guess I'll be using another company in the future.
