The 3 times I have rented from Enterprise they never have what I reserved. They always try to upgrade you at "no charge". If I wanted a larger car I would have reserved a larger car. The last rental in Bend was a fiasco. I was told that the insurance company only approved 2 days instead of 2 weeks. He was sure it was just an error and wanted me to sign the agreement anyway. I refused until I got a hold of the insurance company and it was corrected. Enterprise was told that it was for 2 weeks OR until the car was prepared. The rental went over 5 days past the 2 weeks. Enterprise did not even attempt to build the insurance for that extra 5 days. They just went ahead and charged me and told me I had to figure it out. And talking to the insurance company they said that enterprise was told that they would pay the extra day. Again enterprise refused bill the insurance company. Gwen the assistant manager was quite rude. Not helpful at all. Will never rent from them again whether it's personal or through insurance. read more

This place has nicer vehicles than other businesses in Bend and aconvenient pick up service but the rental sales people are terrible. I made a reservation for an economy car and I called an hour before my pickup time to confirm that they had an economy car, which they did. When I got there the same customer service representative told me that I had to go with a much larger vehicle. Even though I told them that I specifically wanted an economy car beforehand. I would have expected any competent person to call to inform me of the change before I showed up for the vehicle, especially since there were four sales people there and no other customers at the time. We rented a car from Enterprise in Bend for 5 days last week. The staff was great, the car (well, truck, actually) was great, and we were well taken care of. They were supposed to pick us up at 10 AM but were late, so the manager compensated us by upgrading a couple of categories AND cutting the price to the bone-- which more than made up for the inconvenience of being picked up late! I was in an auto accident two months ago and when my Jeep was in the shop, the insurance company rented me a car through Enterprise. Within minutes of getting off the phone with my insurance adjuster, Enterprise called me to set everything up with the rental. The guy on the phone was so funny and personable! I wish I had gotten his name because he was spectacular! When I arrived, they had a beautiful 2016 Chevy Equinox ready for me. What a car! The two gentlemen that assisted me were also so personable and were wonderful! However, I no sooner went to have a seat when Eric (recently moved from Chicago to Bend) of Enterprise was right there. He looked like the best dressed professional in town. I wasn't expecting such professionalism simply renting a car, but they have a great business going in Bend. He took great care of me, and rented me an awesome vehicle. I use Bend Enterprise on a routine basis for work and occasionally for personal travel. The staff is always courteous, respectful and exceed my travel needs. Marshall, Patrick and the other staff always go a step beyond for the customer. The entrance to the parking lot, esp when it is busy, is tough and the customer office space is small but heck I'm there to rent a car not spend the day. I agree with a previous poster that the cars are frequently in need of fluids (gas, oil or wiper) and need a thorough cleaning but are within my accepted standards. I will continue to use Bend Enterprise!! I leave there feeling a little pampered in an otherwise busy day. read more

My car decided to turn up its wheels and die. I needed to return the loaner from the dealer since I was not going to have the car repaired. Called Enterprise to reserve a car then had the dealer call to have them pick me up. Marie picked me up, did all of the paperwork and sent me on my way. When I returned the car, Marie again drove me, in a snowstorm, to the new dealer so that I could pick up my new car. They were great; and, MUCH cheaper than renting in Portland or Redmond at the airport!! As always, they provided excellent, professional service. When I came to pick up the car, the size I reserved was not yet there, so they traded me up for free. That worked out even better for the number of passengers I had. When I returned the car, I simply drove in to the parking area, and a young guy in a suit and I pad came directly out and finished up. I didn't even have to go in. They were very hi tech. No paperwork; all electronic. Of course you could get hard copies if you wanted to, but I did not. My car was recently totaled in an accident and the insurance company that I'm dealing with had me pick up a rental here. They originally had a car reserved that I wouldn't fit in (I'm 6'4", so I need leg room!). I was fully prepared to deal with the smaller car but, after pointing out the issue, they actually upgraded it for free without me even asking! The manager has also helped me out a ton regarding out-of-pocket charges and security holds, which I was trying to avoid so I can actually afford to buy a new car. Every employee that I have spoken with has been very friendly and helpful. I started this whole situation in a stressed-out mess but, thanks to these guys, I've actually been able to relax a little bit. They made having a totaled car a bearable experience. If I ever need to rent a car in the future, I'll go here every time! read more

Normally I'm a fan of Bend Enterprise and would have given 4-5 stars easily, I haven't had any problems in the past, however this year there were big issues. I reserved an SUV 4 months before my arrival through Costco travel as I always do. When I arrived I was told they didn't have any SUV's available and that I could use a Altima then bring it back the next day to pick up the SUV. I asked why there wasn't one when I had a confirmed reservation for one, they couldn't give me any answer on that at all. So I took the Altima, brought it back the next day only to get a basic, low end, Subaru Forester SUV, I asked about an upgrade because they didn't fulfill the reservation and got lots of mumbling and an excuse that didn't make any sense. So I took it since I had places to be. When I returned it, to check the vehicle back in took approximately 45 minutes since the staff were busy, confused and overwhelmed. Normally the office there is fantastic, but this must have been one of those days (it was a couple of days after the full blood moon and lunar eclipse). It would have been nice to have received a discount or something for my trouble, it just seemed like this trip they didn't care about the customer who was renting for 18 days. Especially since the year before they gave me a free upgrade to a full size SUV without even asking. Hopefully they can solve the issues, and actually honor the reservations customers make. read more

Enterprise offered absolutely terrible customer service. They showed little to no effort to help us while our car was in the auto body shop. We were forced to drive a dangerous car in snow conditions while our 4-wheel drive vehicle was in the shop. I will make a point to never do business with them again. read more

I needed to rent another car so I called Enterprise and once again was so happy. I called and asked to talk to Katherine but the guy that answered stated she transferred. I was so bummed but as I started to talk to Alex, he was so helpful and patient I decided to go ahead. I kept changing my mind and he was totally great with suggesting the best way to go. I knew that when I went to get the car. He would have things in order. I went in Thursday and it was his day off, but Michael and Peter were there and were so nice and efficient I was happy once again. These 3 are absolutely great with their professionalism and the way they accommodated everything I needed. In the past I have rented many cars with other firms, but I can tell you, Enterprise employees, especially these 3, make the transaction smooth as can be. Worst service I have ever received! We had reservations for a rental car today and went to pick it up and they said oh ya, we didn't have a phone number for you and we don't have a rental car for you. I said, you have our email don't you? Yes we do... so why did we not get an email letting us know there was a problem, he said I'm unsure. He said we could wait a couple hours to see if we get a car. I told him, we are on our way to my husbands grandmothers funeral and you're telling me that you now do not have a car for us to rent? Can you call Redmond to see if there is a car there? I don't think they have any either. I put him on the phone with my husband and he told him that he needs to find a way to get us a car and he told me husband, well I can't make a car magically appear. After my husband told him he needed to get on the phone and find a car for us and he told him he would, he hung up and told me that there was nothing he could do. A customer came in to return a car and he said ok well you can use that car... I said that little car out there? We rented a mini van. If I wanted a car that size I would drive my own. This is after he asked how many seats I needed. What kind of customer service is this Enterprise? This is absolutely unacceptable! As I'm leaving another guy chimed in and said well we had a several accidents and that's why we are down cars... well I'm sorry that happened but that is not my problem and again where is the communication? The team at the Enterprise in Bend are awesome! I showed up 20 minutes before closing time (5pm) on a Friday. I needed a one way rental that could hold my family of four and all of our camping gear because I had just sold the truck in which I was traveling (long story!). They SUVs but they seemed small. Hey gave me the SUV but told me to check back around 6 because they usually get late returns. I showed up at 5:55 and they were still there ready to help an hour after closing! They out me in a full size pickup with a crew can and we were on our way. Great experience that shows regardless of how big a company is, it's all about the people working at the counter. Lies. Car broke down during a vacation out of state and needed to rent a car to get home for work. Got a quote during the week only to find out the day of rental that there would be an additional $200 charge for going out of state, which the agent booking the reservation knew about. Also could not get a large enough car to make it home in. Now its too late to find any alternattives to get home. read more

Me and a friend rented a car from the clay st enterprise and the young guy working there used something similar to a caliper to measure a scratch and dent that were already on the car and said they were not big enough to be considered damage. So when we get back there was a different young guy there that said the dent was big enough to be damage and pulled out a completely different tool that was half the size of the first one to measure the dent with and said it had to go to a shop, I had him call the first guy to use the same tool and the first guy completely lied and said he didn't use anything like that and the second guy basically called us liers. So then we get a bill in the mail for $1200.00 for the dent and also the scrap which they all knew was already there . They are all liers and thieves there and all the guys that work there are young disrespectful guys that will start being disrespectful to you if things aren't going how they think they should. I would recommend you video tape it when they do the initial check of the car if your going to rent frome here. read more

Our car was in the shop and I needed a rental car for the week to get to work. I called in multiple times and was quoted a price of $170 for the week. When I went to pick up the vehicle they let me know they had another car in that would be $15 less a day. Of course I went with that because we already could barely afford to be getting a rental car. As I was giving them my information and they were calling to verify my insurance I overheard them say I only had liability... Now this was a mess up with my insurance agency not them but they told me if I wanted full coverage on the car I would have to pay $22 more a day, now seeing as they had JUST told me I was saving $15 a day by switching the cars I agreed since that would only be $49 more on the $170 I was quoted... I rented the car and returned it on time. The next day after I returned it they charged my debit card $300 I called in and they told me I still had a $30 balance do. The kid on the phone had no customer service skills what so ever and when I was trying to explain the situation he kept arguing and was very rude. I decided to just go in and speak with someone in person at that point. Of course the manager was at lunch and the kid I spoke with on the phone was the assistant manager so that's who I had to deal with, I was literally in tears I was being charged double than what they had quoted me! after going back and fourth they finally took my bill down to $280 which is still $60 more than I had been told!! I have called back multiple times to speak with the manager and of course I am getting no returned phone calls. This place is a joke. They are sneaky and just out for your money. I will NEVER do business with them again!! read more
