Good service. I called them in the morning to confirm a car was available. When I showed up later that day, Sean got me situated and rented out to me a 2017 Ford Fusion. I ended up returning the car a few days early and was charged the correct amount. Sean was polite and courteous throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from here again. The selection is limited but it's a small franchise in a very small town. No sign of the Jay mentioned (quite negatively) in other reviews too. read more

I stopped there while traveling to Lake Tahoe and had an issue with a rented car (from a different location). I thought all enterprise rentals were a chain.... The man (Jay) was rude, unhelpful, and lied to the road assistance operator when I called after he declined to help me. My layover flight from Bishop to SFO was cancelled. We flew into a very snowy town at an airport the literal size of a 1 bedroom apartment. Cue mayhem with tens of people rushing to find alternative plans: booking a hotel, getting refunded, booking the next flight home (the next day), and securing the rarity of a rental car. After already a very chaotic afternoon filled with numerous phone calls, multiple cancelled Lyft and Uber rides, and long lines - my boyfriend and I ended up at the Enterprise Rental Car store. Unfortunately, they were all out of cars by the time we arrived. The people there was gracious enough to lend us their entire lobby space for ~ 4 hours as we frantically made calls to local hotels, the airline, Lyft drivers, and U-haul - desperately seeking a way to either find shelter in this snowstorm or a 9-hour ride back to SF. The people at Enterprise not only let us conquer their lobby for the entire afternoon, but they also provided helpful tips: phone numbers of local drivers, hotel recs, and other options of navigating our struggle. Then, out of the blue, someone dropped off their car to Enterprise. The manager mentioned, "This car came to us unexpectedly. Would you two be open for it? I was going to call my list of customers, however, we know you two have had a wildly unlucky day. So, I wanted to give you two the first choice." Quite obviously, we took it! Late in the summer, my wife and I were in a bind and needed to swap out a car we'd picked up in Mammoth Lakes so we could leave immediately for LAX. Daniel Flores and Sean were amazingly helpful and understanding, especially considering that we were just walk-ins with a problem that needed to be taken care of right away. This place lied to us about having a truck. They won't answer their phone if they recognize your number. They won't accommodate you on their screw ups. We have wasted 5 hours because of them. Our car radiator blew halfway up to Big Pine Lakes and we needed a rental for the weekend while our car was in the shop. We made a reservation online; however, when we go to the Enterprise location there was an issue with the number of cars available. Sean was really accommodating and managed to give us the last car in the lot. We were incredibly grateful as it helped to salvage our backpacking trip. Over the last few months, I have had to rent a car quite frequently for travels to Las Vegas to care for my ailing father who was 97. Sometimes that would require renting a car with little notice. The enterprise rental in Bishop always came through. They had my car waiting, clean and ready to go every time. It took a lot of the hassle out of driving to Vegas knowing we had a solid, dependable vehicle every time. My wife and me just went on vacation. We stopped in 7 different states, sightseeing and such. Of course we rented from enterprise of bishop again and it was fantastic. We reserved a Volkswagen Teguan which was perfect. Great gas mileage, plenty of room for luggage and extremely comfortable. The car ran flawlessly. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the staff at enterprise of bishop. Daniel is fantastic, gives great customer service, makes sure all is taken care of, and is generally concerned about the customers needs. He was always thoughtful when we were dealing with my fathers health issues and he always inquired how he was doing every time we rented from enterprise. That means a lot. The whole staff is great and Ryan even set us a note to make sure everything was going well while we were on vacation. I've rented from larger cities but this location has the best customer service by far. Keep up the good work. I reserved a truck online and it was not available until 2 days later when I finally got the call to come down it was a much bigger truck than I had expected but everyone was so nice and was doing the best they could with what they had available for me in our limited area the fairly new customer service rep Daniel made sure he could do everything possible to make me happy and it's because of his outstanding customer service I would recommend Daniel to take care of all your needs at Bishop location with complete confidence he will make customer satisfaction his top priority!! read more

This place totally saved me when United cancelled my flight out of Mammoth to San Diego. I had to be in SD the next morning and the shops in Mammoth were all sold out of cars. I spent a week in town. It is the only rental car location and it does have limited hours or I would have given it 5 stars. The staff were terrific and worked with me since I needed a trunk and they don't have a huge selection. I especially appreciated the new manager. I got there in the nick of time before they closed for the day but he got me checked in and even drove me back to my hotel. read more

Dont ever rent a car from these thieves!!!!. On a recent camping trip to the Eastern Sierras, our car broke down in Bishop, CA on the 4th of July weekend. AAA referred us to an excellent towing facility, who in turn led us to a great Radiator and Auto Repair shop. These guys were wonderful. They were honest, didn't exploit our bad situation, and did all they could to get us back on the road as soon as parts could be found. On the other hand, Enterprise Car Rental turned out to be a utter scam. First they/re only open M-F, 8-5...Really in a town that exists to serve tourists and travelers? Sure because now if you rent a car on Friday you have to pay a full 3 day rental until Mon, even if you only need a car for 1 day. So they put the thumbs screws to you, and make you pay for 3 days, for a 1 day rental. And then when you use their"courtesy drop-off", they have no security on their lot. After we dropped off our car, someone else damaged the hood, but of course they want us to pay for it. We even took pictures when we dropped it off that prove there was no damage. Doesn't matter. Why should they bother to install any kind of security when they can make the tourists pay for all damage done to cars on their lot? This actually feels like insurance fraud to me. Anyway, these thieves steal from you by forcing a 3 day rental when 1 is all you need, and then pass on to you their costs and risk of having no lot security. And really why should they bother being open on the weekend when travelers really need their services, when they can make more money by forcing you to pay for days you aren't even driving the car? What a brilliant, diabolical business plan. And the tourist get stuck with all the risk. You would be better off hitch hiking. Don't rent from them unless you enjoy being robbed! Our truck broke down in Bishop, California and we needed to rent a vehicle. Our truck's factory warranty stipulated it would pay $30 daily for a rental as long as it was a Ford product. Without a diagnosis on our truck's issue and a definitive repair date, we worked with Sean from Enterprise for a Ford rental car. Though difficult, Sean got us what we needed. After several days, we received our truck back from Ford at days' end and Daniel from Enterprise graciously stayed late to receive the rental back so we didn't incur another day's cost. Both Sean and Daniel provided great customer service and we highly recommend their service. read more

We made a same day reservation for a pickup truck to transport a refrigerator from Bishop, CA to Mammoth. We booked the reservation at 11:45 a.m. and were told that the office was closed for lunch from 12-1 and that we could pick it up at 1:00. We were emailed the reservation confirming the 1:00 pick up. When we got to the office at 1:00 no one was there and a line of 10 people quickly formed. After waiting until 1:50, an employee arrived and casually announced that if anyone made a same day reservation, they were going to be disappointed, because they didn't have any cars (or trucks) available. No apology was made for arriving 50 minutes later than the posted sign stated or for keeping customers waiting, or for not being able to keep the reservations. Customer service from this small town business is extremely poor - they apparently know that people don't have any other options in town. read more

Horrible experience. Promised three times I would be picked up. Then, almost three hours later, told, no I was not going to be picked up When i originally called I was told I would be picked up. After almost two hours I finally got through and talked to Supervisor Adriana, she promised that Daniel would pick me up. Then I called again and Daniel said he was on his way. Then he called and said it was too far. How can a customer be told they will be picked up three times and then refused?. I called so many times and no one answers the phone. Staff is a couple of kids who don't car. Avoid at all costs. [NOTE: After I sent a long email to Enterprise the regional manager called me and waived almost all of the charges, and agreed the conduct was not appropriate. This ruined a day of our vacation while we made other transportation arrangements - not an easy thing to do in Owens Valley. Can't count on Enterprise. read more

My girlfriend and I made arrangements to pick up a car on Thursday morning and have it for 3 days. We received a Nissan pickup truck with just under six thousand miles on it. It was in great condition and ran fine the whole time. We used the drop box on Sunday morning to return the truck, very convenient. I have been renting cars for awhile from Enterprise in Bishop. I am going to buy a new car soon and it is a great way to test drive new cars! Daniel and Sean are very professional. I was stranded and AAA set me up with an initial reservation with Enterprise. Hours before I was to pick up the car, I asked them to change my reservation to a one-way rental instead of dropping off in Bishop. Shawn set me up quickly and got me a good rate on the one-way drop-off fee. Daniel came shortly after to pick me up. The car was in great shape and drove well. This is the worst Enterprise Rental Car place. For a second time I had made reservations three days in advance and when I got there they did not have a car for me. The manager would not even come forward to talk to me. I dealt with a Daniel Flores who was totally worthless. Kept saying we are doing everything we can and when ask what that was he indicated they are waiting for cars to come back. Said he called and left message at 7:45 AM about not having a call but I had not message not to mention I live3 in Mammoth and it is a 45 minute drive to Bishop. You would think common sense and proper management would have looked the day before to see if they were going to have cars or not and notify the customer. As I indicated above this is the second time they have done this to me. I will never rent a car from them or enterprise again and I will make sure I tell as many people about my experience. Both Bishop and Mammoth are small towns and places with terrible customer service spreads rapidly. read more
