Tecia and her manager at this location should never be allowed to work in customer service. They were rude from the very beginning and turned extremely hostile when we tried to report their inappropriate behaviors. Tecia was very condescending and treated my mom with utmost disrespect (because my mom does not speak English and she was extremely judgmental) and denied us service right away. When I complained about her behavior to the manager working at this location, he not only did not help us mediate or resolve the issue, but also appeared to be dismissive and extremely annoyed. When I repeatedly asked him for a phone number I can contact to report the inappropriate treatment, he also lied to me and told me there is no phone number but only an e-mail address (I found their customer service hotline on their app later and reported them both). After contacting the customer service team, they asked me for Tecia's name so I went back to her to take a picture of her name tag that I could attach to the e-mail, this was when she turned physically violent and smacked my hand and phone. You bet we will never come back and rent from Enterprise ever again knowing that they can be this unprofessional and toxic. I did not call the cops right away because I was sure the security camera at the airport caught everything, and we are considering going back with the evidence and possibly press charges against this type of violent behavior. I would have completely denounced this company if it weren't for the lovely woman who helped me the day I came in. In the wake of my mother's passing right before this, I was moving from Boston to New Jersey to be closer to family. I booked a truck rental and they said everything was pre paid and taken care of. What they failed to mention was A, you need a credit card, not a debit but a credit card and the reason is because there is an additional THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR HOLD absolute insanity I went in there without a ride home because I was renting a truck so I had no choice but to pay the three hundred. Problem is, I didn't have a credit card. Company policy demands a credit card and if it weren't for the very sweet manager, her name was LAUREN, who allowed me to put it on a debit card, I would have walked out of there empty handed having already paid for the insurance. And when I got to my destination and brought the rental back, they requested an ADDITIONAL THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS because they have NO idea what they are doing the most unorganized and uncivilized company I've ever done business with. BS company with backhanded fees they don't tell you about. Lovely manager at this location she may be the only good asset the company possesses. Everyone at the Burlington New Jersey location is brain dead. Never renting with you guys again screw every one of you except Lauren. She even gave me a slightly better truck. I made reservations and flew in from Texas to Boston on a family trip. Upon arrival to Boston Logan International, I arrived at this location to pick up a "Suburban or similar" I had reserved for our trip. When I arrived the employee stated they had sent me a text 15 minutes prior to my arrival informing me that they did not have the vehicle I reserved or anything comparable to it. My family of 7 had to pay for a hotel (we didn't plan for) because this business establishment did not fulfill its obligation and we had to scramble to find a vehicle big enough for our vacation at another establishment. read more

I rented a vehicle from this Enterprise and it received a violation because it was not inspected as required by Massachusetts law. Enterprise advised me they would "resolve the issue" and that it was their responsibility to have vehicles inspected (duh?). While I had the vehicle it was cited 7 times for not having a valid inspection sticker and months after I returned the vehicle, Enterprise charged my credit card to cover the cost of the violations. Enterprise refuses to this day to remove the charges and after I challenged the charges Enterprise advised my credit card company that I am responsible for these charges. As an extra slap in the face, when I first learned of their failure to have the vehicle inspected, I offered to take it to a local shop and have it inspected as long as they reimbursed me for the cost. They responded with "We would never expect a customer to take a rental vehicle through inspection, as that is the location's responsibility." Yet after acknowledging it is their responsibility, they are attempting to make me pay for their mistake and refusing to remove the charges from my credit card. read more

Just wanted to say that I have had wonderful experiences renting cars from Enterprise on Melnea Cass Blvd, and I highly recommend them. I had a one-day rental scheduled this past Friday. Typically I pick up the car but because I had a load of items to take, the assistant branch manager picked me up and took me back to the office to finish up paper work, which was quick. He was extremely polite and even helped me load my items in the car. The car was especially clean and sanitized and it was a delight to drive -- and the fee was quite reasonable. read more

Probably one of the most in efficient places I have ever seen. They usually show you a good deal online but then don't have the cars available when you get there, and you have to wait till the car arrives. (1 hr or so). They also don't have the concept of a line so people get don't get first in first serve service. They are friendly (remember your name) and accommodating... they will pick you up if need be, and remind you of this even during the cold winter months. I reserved a rental car for a Saturday 2-3 weeks in advance of my rental date. An hour before I was scheduled to pick up the rental, I received a text that my reservation was placed on a waitlist, and I would be notified IF a rental opened up. Never mind the fact that I am a silver tier member, or that I had reserved this weeks in advance, or that I was already halfway towards the center to pick up the car before I got the notification. It's the fact that Enterprise never followed up on this detail in the hours and days after this that prompted me to write this review. Not an email notification or apology for their mistake. I'm supposed to move on and pretend this never happened? They're great at ghosting you and leaving you out to dry, and I'm strongly considering changing rental companies in the future if this reflects their service. My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to rent a car for our weekend in Boston less than 24 hours before we arrived. I have previously had good experiences with Enterprise in other cities, so I searched for a location near where we were staying and found this location. I called this office directly and received great customer service over the phone. The price was great and the staff member confirmed that I could rent using my debit card (no credit card required). We received equally great service from Branch Manager Andre when we picked up the car the next day. We had some trouble getting my debit card to go through and he was very patient while I worked that out. Our car was clean and problem free (Intermediate Class, Chevy Cruze). The only frustrating part of the rental was that when I was told over the phone that I could use my debit card, I was not told that it would require a $250 hold on my account (meaning that at the time of rental I was charged $250 more than the total rental price, and then when I returned the car I was issued a $250 refund that took 48 hours to go through). This is not unreasonable, and I've had similar holds from other agencies before. But I wasn't thinking about it in my last minute travel rush, and I wish the customer service rep had made that clear during our phone call. I would have transferred more funds into the account I was using before leaving my home banking territory if I knew. Overall a good experience, and I would totally look into renting from them again if I need a car when in the area. read more

Usually I only rent cars at airport locations, but needed a larger vehicle for a group. This place worked out great. Parking available for my car while I rented a large SUV. The booking was smooth, they confirmed via voice and were very friendly an answered questions. Very easy pickup and dropoff and the SUV was great. I can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Will rent again here when the next occasion arises. read more

Do not rent from this Enterprise! We reserved a car back in April for a car on June 21st for our dream vacation to do a two week drive from Boston, New York, North Carolina, Nashville and fly back to Carlifornia. We were left without a car and no recourse at the Enterprise location on 17 Melnea Cass Blvd, Boston. The reservation was for 9:00. I called at 8:00 and she said she was about ready to text me. They transferred me to the area manager who said they were going to raise the issue and I should receive a call back. I NEVER received a call back. We didn't wait as each time I called they said they should call me back. After this fiasco, we scrambled to get a car from Avis, we missed our reservation for the 911 museum. Not only did it cost us about $400 more between the car and the tickets we didn't get to use, we missed the reason we were heading to New York for a day. Who knows now if we will ever get that experience!! So disrespectful they would overbook cars so much, with absolutely no care or customer service!! This place does not deserve the 1 star I am giving it. I called the main office and reserved a specific car, they told me to go pick it up at 11. I go there at 10:30, got in line to be served only to see that they were only two people working there, one of them is a manager, and they are as slow as slugs. At 11:05AM and after being in line, the employee decides to return to office, I am second in line and he passed right passed me and the other guy on a slow motion, I asked him if he can take care of the person ahead of me so we can move ahead! His answer was, with waiving the back of hand and asking me to leave! He said he will not rent me a car as a punishment for asking him to do his customer service job and acting with some sense of urgency. I asked if I can speak to his manager, his response was that he is the manager! I asked if I can speak to his boss and he refused to: give me his name, his boss' name or phone number. I called customer service to complain, I spoke to Samantha, she was very nice in the phone, listen to my side of the story and she showed some empathy. She did her job. She promised that someone will call me and get me the rental I was looking for today so I can take my son to the zoo as I promised him, no one called me or emailed me. I have used enterprise many times before today, this is the worst experience I have ever had. I will never use them. Luckily, I went to Hertz, got the car needed. End of story. read more

This Enterprise ran out of cars, and told me I had to uber to the airport in the middle of rush hour traffic. I have never been so disrespected in my life, especially from a car rental place, where expectations are already considerably low. Honestly, I would recommend hitchhiking above attempting to reserve a car, because the odds of getting a car are about even, but at least hitchhiking affords intrigue. read more

I had rented a car from Brockton, Ma Enterprise that had a dent in it and didn't notice it so I had picked my car up from the shop and wanted to leave the car in Boston because one person can't drive 2 cars at one time but if I had to I would have found a family member to drive my car and I drive the rental back . I called Brockton ask if I could drop off in Boston they said sure and I called Melnea Cass asking if they had space and if I could drop off there they said sure I could drop it off and the manager (Mark) said it's a 200 dollar drop off fee I said no I can take it back to Brockton for 43.00 why would I pay 200 and then he said they said it over the phone there policy I said no one told me that and I been waiting 2 weeks for them to pull phone call to hear no one told me that. Never rent from enterprise especially Brockton They give out shitty cars I also receive a ticket for the car not being inspected with properly with a sticker on the car and Melnea Cass there just rude the Manager there they need to retrain him because his skills dealing with public are terrible really unacceptable, when I said I was calling Corp." sure go ahead make sure you give them my name". How professional and Corp. no better it's been 2 weeks and they have not called back as well. The customer service here is AMAZING and the rates are low. I was assisted by Andre and if it were not for his help, my poorly planned last minute trip would never have happened. I made a reservation incorrectly and showed up unprepared. Andre fixed everything up, helped me get the information I needed, and despite all this he still let me pay the lower rate. Hey I guess this place is two folded. I have nothing to say but good things about this location. I was skeptical at first but they did nothing but prove me wrong. Ask for the free upgrades. Yep they picked me up (i live 2.5 miles away) and yep they dropped me off. I rented from 3 times over a 4 week span. Every time they were prompt and helpful. I would like to give a shout out to the guy who drove me back (neither the manager or the asst manager...but actually the car cleaner) He was cleanign one of the vehicles, stopped what he was doing and gave me the lift. He was the most friendly, outgoing, respectful and interesting person I have conversed with that week. I left the car saying "he is manager material". I wish they told us about the drop off box option. Wanted to return the car on Thursday but ends up returning the car Monday...post operation hours. Thank you to the Dorchester location for informing us another location information ......... Its great that enterprise offers drop off box options but if you guys have a location that offers drop box, always let your customers know that because not all realize that they could drop off the car even though enterprise is close. People work till 7 on weekdays and hours are so minimal on weekends. ALSO. Parking is BEHIND the building .. drove around four times until we accidentally stumbled in. Its not until you get into the parking garage when they tell you space is shared between hotel and enterprise. It should really be easier to get to .. Customer service was good. He was friendly. Just wish he was a little bit more informant. read more

They do not disclose the rental costs upfront, made excuses to not give me a printed receipt and when I returned the rental, I was overcharged by 100$. When I request information about the charge, they keep putting me on hold for 30-45 mins and the branch manager never bothers to call back. I will never use Enterprise again! read more

They constantly do everything in their power to accommodate any needs I or my husband may have. Their vehicles have always been in excellent condition and quality as well. I rented a vehicle for over a month and when I went to return the Vehicle and asked for a break down of charges because they were explained incorrectly when I called to extend it and Spoke to an employee named Spencer. The employee Connor had a yelling match and tried to degrade me and & swearing making it seem like I had no sense because I asked for a clear breakdown which he could not provide. I then called enterprise customer service and explained to them what I was told and how it didn't make any sense. She had no issue explaining to me what Connor couldn't even though he had the papers printed out in front of him. I will be filing another formal complaint and This location needs to do better when training their employees. As much as I've rented through enterprise Before over the years I've never had an issue until now. And then to add I returned the vehicle in prestigious condition, vacuumed and carpets cleaned out. He Only checked the mileage and rented the vehicle right back out before I left the lot despite Covid-19 & sanitation guidelines. I don't care if I have to pay the highest rate from another location I will never rent from this particular location again. The only reason this is even two stars is because Spencer was nice every phone call but highly misinformed. read more

I cannot recommend this enterprise location enough! They gave me the best customer service of 2014! They will pick you up and drop you off in a we-re'happy-to-serve-you, awesome way. They were very helpful over the phone when I first made the reservation and made sure I got the best rate. I paid a smidge over $100/week which I think is a great price. I even put a nail through one of the tires while driving around. I brought it in expecting at best a fee and maybe a wait. Instead, they were apologetic and helpful and gave me a replacement car right away! Can't beat this place. The manager and all the other staff were so nice. I will rent again from here if I need a car. read more

I am highly disappointed with my experience with enterprise (not necessarily at this location - the service was very friendly), but the company does not explicitly state its policies when reserving online. As an out-of-state driver, I was told upon picking up the rental that my credit card would be charged $300 for a deposit! They also could only take a credit card, and couldn't use a debit as a charge, even though that's what would be used for the actual payment of the car. You have to search for this information on their website and even then it only provides a range of how much the charge might be and that it varies on the location. NO statement of this is made during the reservation process nor the reservation confirmation nor on the site until you search under "Help." Needless to say, I was unable to rent and could not go to an extremely important meeting. Service at this location was very friendly but I am so disappointed. read more
