The branch manager Robert is the only staff member at this location that you should book a rental with. He is kind, takes his time & attention to help. However, if you get stuck with another staff member helping you, be prepared for them to be frustrated and annoyed at any questions you ask about the pricing and charges accrued for rentals. Was sent off with a filthy beat down vehicle that is past due for servicing and absolutely none of the basic features of the vehicle in working condition. And they never have much of an inventory, more of an Enterprise Car Dealership than rental location. Do yourself a favor and go further down RT 23 to Budget Rentals. More selection, better pricing and people that aren't pissed off when simply asking nicely what the charges to their credit card are from. read more

Don't go there in the morning without a reservation and hope to rent a car. They had nothing. They did not offer to call another location to see if they had anything. I left angry and disappointed. They did, however, have over 20 for sale cars in front, but nothing for rent. Should be called Enterprise Buy a Car. ****This was the Wayne, NJ location. The Butler location also had no cars but tried to be helpful. If this is their business, to rent cars, and they were running low, you would think toward the end of the day they would try to get some sent over from another location so they would be there in the morning. But that would require some thought. read more

This is strictly related to renting a car through the Butler office, and specifically Maddie. My daughter had her car side swiped and needed a rental while her car was being fixed. During these Covid times, if you're trying to get a rental, you know the issue with a lack of cars. We reserved a car weeks before the car was scheduled for repair, so no problem there. The car we received had an issue with the tire, and a new car was swapped out, no problem. The second car had an issue with an engine warning, and needed to be towed. THIS was an issue as there were NO cars to swap out. Maddie found a car in the next closest office in Wayne, and would have drove my daughter to Wayne, but this wasn't necessary. The Wayne office was busy, but attentive and luckily, the third car was a charm, and my daughter was placed in a new Hyundai SUV (not the minivan as first stated). Maddie made sure a car was available, and for that we are grateful. She went above and beyond which is rare in this market. I don't blame the mechanical problems on the office as I am sure the turn around on these rentals is enormous and there isn't enough time to service them properly. Taking the current conditions into account...good job! read more

[Review originally posted 10/2/2014. Moved here from an older, inactive Yelp account of mine.] Had a family car totalled around 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday. Filed a claim with USAA around 9. By 10:30 we were told a rental car was ready for us to pick up at this Enterprise branch. Got there and took less than 10 minutes from pulling in to driving off in a late model Toyota RAV4, one of several cars offered to us as rental. Always a top notch experience. read more

Absolutely awesome, they gave me the best vehicle for my 4 hour drive to Boston for my business trip.

It took a bit for us to get the car since the 2 cards I tried had some security settings up for being out of state. The 3rd card I tried went through but they charged $10 more for that for whatever reason. The car itself was good. The whole transaction was quick when we picked up the rental car and when we called to extend it a day more. Returning it was fairly quickly too. However, I do not appreciate not being acknowledged. The rental was under my husband's name but the payment was under mine. The enterprise guy put in no effort to involve me in the explanation of how much the total was for the rental and how/when the despot will be returned. Even the "thank you for your business talk" was not extended to me. Just because there's a man and a woman present, do not assume it's the man paying and the woman is just accessory. Change that old fashioned crap. read more

In this most recent instance everyone I dealt with provided me with exceptional service and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Enterprise has a customer for life with me. read more

The Butler Enterprise site has been closed due to COVID and perhaps permanently. The alternate sites are Wayne, NJ and Oakland, NJ. Oakland does not do pick-up or drop-off at this time. Dealing with corporate reservations was very frustrating as they were very reluctant to admit they are so understaffed they no longer provide the pick-up and drop off despite the online form seeming to allow it. The Butler location was almost always decent to deal with, most recently in Feb this year. Just be aware that many such closures are still happening and services have been cut. read more

One of the best rental locations I have dealt with. We came into the office without a reservation and Steve was great. We had to change how long we had the rental term multiple times and Steve was very helpful and accommodating each time we spoke to him. We will definitely go to this branch for future rentals. read more

I don't rent cars very often, but when I do, Enterprise provides great, friendly service. They pick you up or take you home. Often I get an upgrade in the type of car I have requested, which is a plus - except if it's a mini van or SUV which I personally dislike driving. Cars are clean and in good shape and I have had no problems. read more

The worst car rental establishment in the area. Terrible customer service. Rude uninformed and nasty. I have been a customer here for years. I live in town. I went to pick up my car and when asked to give my license and credit card. I gave my business debit card which I have always used there I was told I couldn't use it. I gave the girl a credit card but asked that they use my debit card for the deposit. She just said no way. When I tried to explain to her that I have always used the same debit card she said not this time. They mentioned that I might not bring the vehicle back. She said this in front of other customers. It was embarrassing to say the least. Not only that but they take $350 deposit on a $64 rental. When I made the reservation online it stated that $150 would be charged at pick up. I am also an Enterprise Plus member which obviously means nothing. I would suggest the next time you need a rental car stay far away from Enterprise read more

I had to get a rental car that insurance paid for. They knew my insurance paid 30$ a day as insurance called to set it up. Yet, they called and gave me two choices in cars. During that call, they did not mention a difference in price. Just the choice. I assumed since it was set up by insurance, it was in that price range. The employee said the one we picked was 15 a day when my husband went to pick it up. My husband was in a hurry, said ok and took the Toyota Rav 4. I have rented cars on my own here for 25$ day and as low as 10$ a day in the past. So, we assumed it was 15$ a day that insurance would paying for. When we went to return the car, there was a 300$ bill that we owed in addition to what the insurance paid. Come to find out, the stupid Rav 4 was 45$ a day and the 15$ a day we owed. Apparently, when it's paid through insurance they aren't concerned with staying within the range the insurance pays for. I can rent a Rav 4 all day for below 30$. If you do go here, be vigilant and read everything. Don't get in a hurry like we did, assume the place you have done business with on multiple occasions would just appreciate the business and give you a car in the price range insurance pays for unless you request otherwise either. read more
