We booked a van for five days to travel to MD. With fees, taxes, and a package for unlimited miles, I paid over $750 (which I felt was already extremely steep), including a $150 deposit. Promised to return the vehicle with a quarter of a tank of gas, etc. The vehicle had over 164K of miles and several lights came on during the trip (brake lights, tire pressure light, check engine light, etc.) and I didnt complain. I did report the issues this morning as a show of good measure. Upon returning the vehicle this afternoon (with 75% tank of gas), I was told that I would NOT be getting my $150 deposit back AND would be billed $99 for allegedly going over my mileage. This makes zero sense to me since I was under the assumption that I was granted unlimited miles. In the end, paying $850 here for using a van for five days isnt worth it at all. And their mileage policy is garbage. I was VERY Much in support of this company last week but now, I am AGGRESSIVELY warning everybody to please avoid this place at all costs.

But who would do that on a rental???? We arrived late so not many options to switch out in our price range and style. We rode through Va, and was hoping it would not be an issue. And it wasn't. My vehicle was at Caliber Collision for repairs. My auto insurance policy covered the first 30 days of my Enterprise rental. Because Caliber damaged my vehicle while it was in their care, Caliber agreed to cover the remainder of the rental period beyond those 30 days. In early June 2026, I met in person with branch managers at Enterprise. They reviewed the file and confirmed that a split-billing agreement was in place: insurance paid up to their maximum, and Caliber was responsible for the remaining balance. The branch managers acknowledged in person that I should never have been charged, confirmed that Enterprise received payment from both my insurance and Caliber, and explicitly promised that the unauthorized charges on my card would be reversed immediately. Over a month later, not only has the refund been issued, but Enterprise has charged me again for the exact same fees. Enterprise has effectively double dipped, taking full payments from insurance and Caliber while continuing to bill my personal account for funds I do not owe. To make matters worse, attempting to resolve this over the phone has been impossible. Upon calling the local branch, staff immediately place callers on hold before even offering a greeting. When you finally reach an employee Brandon and ask for a manager, you are tossed back onto hold or routed into automated prompts. I will be filing a complaint to the BBB, attorney generals office and will have my legal team reach out to Enterprise Directly.

This location is 100% polar opposite of the awful AVIS location at Charlotte airport…read more As an Executive Elite; National maintains a great selection of lower mileage clean rental vehicles and of course Executives can take any vehicle that is on the Emerald Aisle. You do not have to engage with any employees (except for the checkout booth) at National when you are preferred but the couple of times I did interact with a employee in the Charlotte location it was the typical courteous response that you have at the full service National airport locations. (Now when you do have to deal with employees at the smaller National locations your mileage will vary..case in point being the rather rude employees at the Santa Ana CA location) Unfortunately, I have to rent with Avis due to corporate policy when flying into Charlotte on company business, but all my personal rentals are with National nationwide let alone Charlotte airport and am hoping our corporate travel policy changes to allow us to use National for corporate rentals in Charlotte soon.

We were redirected to this location after the Rock Hill location realized they had no cars for us after we reserved one through Orbitz. Marcus from Rock Hill Budget even called Don at this location to see about car availability. So, when I called and talked with Don, he was already apprised of the situation. When we got there, the staff were great and even met Don as we were finishing up the paperwork. They even upgraded us to a much nicer, larger vehicle since they didn't have any in our vehicle class. So I searched Google maps for car rentals and, to my good fortune, found Montgomery Enterprise. Ms. Montgomery was an angel. She was so kind, personable and helpful. The rental rates were very reasonable. She even kept her office open after normal office hours just to accommodate me because of my late flight. She didn't have to do that and, in my experience, not many businesses these days offer that kind of service to their customers. Ms. Montgomery was warm, professional, welcoming and solution-oriented. If I could give more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat. Thank you Ms. Montgomery! And I wish you and your family great abundance in every aspect of your lives.

I guess this is what happens when you book through a site to try to save some money. To top things off, I got a text message at approximately 8pm the night before I was scheduled to turn in the car, telling me that their office would be closed due to the holiday and to just leave the car parked close to the gate and drop the key in the lock box. To make matters even worse, I got an email that night stating I didn't turn in my car and that it was late over due.
