They used every sleazy trick in the book to try and squeeze in the store between the FIRST and SECOND person. I was the THIRD and witnessed them every step of the way. Luckily, the beautiful yet, overworked counter agent recognized their scam and once she checked in the first person, she collected all the keys from those of us who came before the "ladies" returning cars. Extremely disappointed with this location--again. We picked up our rental a day early because we're leaving for Oakland at 3 AM. I already had a terrible experience with this branch two years ago, but had to use them because my preferred Reseda location had no availability. At pickup, the staff gave us a very quick walkthrough, and we drove the car home. When we opened the trunk to load our luggage, we found it full of leftover flowers, leaves, and debris from the previous renter. This is not a small spot that could easily be missed. Checking the trunk and cleaning the vehicle should be part of preparing a rental for the next customer. The fact that the car was handed to us like this makes me seriously question whether it was properly inspected at all. I am documenting this BEFORE our trip because I will absolutely not accept responsibility for a mess that was already there when the vehicle was given to us. However, I am compelled to say this- the vehicle provided to me today is in poor condition (Nissan Versa, Mississippi plate). It is heavily weathered and does not meet rentable standards (sluggish acceleration, rattling noise, high mileage, broken key fob). Cleaning wasn't good enough that some areas seem to have been missed as there was a piece of chewed gum stuck near the driver's door handle, that I accidentally touched . In all my years renting from this location , I am rarely let down, but my experience today fell short. I was helped out and given grace when I didn't return the call with a full tank. The car I got had bird poop all on the back due to pigeons living on their overhead. On a less positive note, I encountered an issue when trying to arrange transportation for the event. The representative asked for a letter or email about the event I needed the vehicle for, so I had to ask one of the parents at 8 am to forward me the email she received. When I showed him the email as requested, he had the audacity to touch my phone and start clicking on the sender's information. Why would he think that's acceptable? This level of intrusion and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I had an extremely disappointing experience. I felt discriminated against and the service was abysmal. The representative- Andres was rude and did not offer any solutions to our problem. When I pointed out his lack of customer service, he became even more hostile, insisting he was just doing his job. At no point did he try to say, "This isn't working out, but let's try this or that." Instead, he continued to make rude comments until I reached the door. Had a great experience with this particular Enterprise. I had someone dent up my car and while it was getting fixed, I needed a rental. Enterprise guided me through every step and ensured dealings with the insurance company were smooth. They were very accommodating and ensured all my personal belongings were accounted for when dropping off the car. From the very start, everything seemed clear to me. The body shop handled the rental directly with Enterprise, arranged for a car to pick me up, and reassured me that they would cover the cost. When I received the paperwork, I noticed that it clearly stated the charges were to be paid by the body shop, which was also reflected in the bill they gave me. At that point, I had no reason to doubt it--it was written right there in front of me. I also noticed a $100 deposit charge, which they explained to me was for potential damages or accidents. They told me it was to cover the deductible that might arise if any damage occurred to the vehicle, and it made sense to me. They assured me that the body shop would pay for everything else, and I trusted them since I understood this deposit was just a precaution. The total rental cost was well over $1700, and all I was concerned about was the $100 deposit. I had no reason to believe I would be the one paying for the full amount, as I was told clearly that the body shop was responsible for the charges. When I returned the car, the $100 deposit was refunded back to me, and everything seemed settled. However, despite these assurances, four months later, I was charged on my credit card. No warning, no explanation, just a sudden charge. When I called to address the issue, I was met with dismissive responses and no help. If Enterprise and the body shop have an agreement, why didn't they follow through and charge the body shop as promised? Why did they wait months to unexpectedly charge me? The whole situation doesn't add up. It feels like a systematic issue where Enterprise and the body shop work together, but customers end up being held responsible when something goes wrong. I would strongly advise anyone in a similar situation to read everything carefully, get clear confirmation, and ensure you're not caught off guard by hidden charges later on. There were two separate holds out on my card, the explanation wasn't the best and it was frustrating because now days banks are quick to put a hold on your card until they can reconcile the perceived issue. This is the worst Enterprise location you can possibly go to. Granted they are a newer location so some bumps in the road are to be expected, but it's bad. They have 3 cars at a time so if you are looking for anything besides a big truck or SUV, you are out of luck. Although they have 2 to 3 people working expect a long wait. Reserved for a compact car for Saturday pick up, they did not have one there. Came back Monday to switch it out and had to wait for a car to be returned to get a vehicle. Then when I get the second vehicle it is infested with ants. I turned around to see an ant crawling on my baby's forehead. **Update Review for Follow-Up** I e-mailed care@enterprise.com and got like an automative e-mail and yelp response. You can see the attached photo for the email. Its been a couple days and still no one from regional/senior management or even corporate office has been in touch with me. I had to call the Chatsworth location to verify that the vehicle I rented was received Monday morning when they opened up, as it was dropped off Sunday night and spoke to Kassandra regarding the Nissan Rogue with the nasty urine smell. She never apologized for the inconvenience of the smell and just stated "ohh, I'll give you a discount". She was going to email the receipt as she made the changes & she never emailed my receipt. I had to log on to my enterprise plus account to look at the charges and compare them to my original estimate of my rental. Instead of charging me $47.50 per day it's $40.00 per day. In total looking at the charges it was a total of 15% discount. (Weekly Original $371.90 with discount $312.20) Im very disappointed with this company. They do an amazing job pretending customer satisfaction is their priority. **Just know if you get a crappy rental and try to exchange it no matter where you are with other branches. Each branch doesn't want the crappy rental in exchange and its like children pointing fingers at each other blaming who's responsible. They're suppose to be responsible to help you find another rental and each branch will just give you a round around! Our branch only called one to put in a request and said we have to call the other branches to call to see if anything available and we did. Nothing... I've put air fresher and wiped down the car, hoping it'll just disappear and it still smelled. It would've been great if they told us to go get the car detailed inside and they will reimburse us for the troubles and just charge us the normal fees. That would've been okay with me and I would'nt cut my vacation by 1 day short. Nothing was resolved and a small discount just to brush you off... We made a reservation for a car for our trip to Vegas, a suburban specifically. When we arrived to pick it up they said they gave the vehicle to someone else after we had a whole trip planned. And we asked the guy why didn't you call us to at least save us the time from coming their and he said he forgot to call us. So we were left to look for another suv for the weekend after all of them were booked. And luckily we went to hertz and they had 1 suv available so we made the reservation and picked it up with no problem. This place sucks! If there's online reservations then why give the vehicle to a different party? And the guy told us that people can take anyone reservations online, so I called the enterprise headquarters and they said that's not true. Waste of time. Twice! I called requesting a pick up service. I was advised by the first person who answered the phone that they still offered it. The next person who took the call said " I'm sorry, we don't offer that anymore," the next person who I got transferred to said they may offer pick up, needed to double check then hung up on me. I called back and it happened again! After all the time I spent on hold, this entire waste of time cost me an hour of my day. I've used different Enterprise locations over the years and I've had good luck with their vehicles. I needed a rental while my car was being repaired and this location was the most convenient option at the time. I would not, however, use this location again if I don't have to. The courtesy shuttle driver was very nice. I believe his name was Richard. The agent who rented me the car was less than friendly and did not keep his COVID distance. If you do rent from this location, be advised that their "after hours" drop off isn't always available. They close at noon on Saturdays and don't re-open until Monday. So you can't do an after hours drop over the weekend - there's literally no way to return the car until Monday, so you will be charged for the whole weekend. The car I rented was in excellent shape and was pretty clean. read more
