They at first told me reservation was at another location.I called the other location and they stated it's in fact at this location. Horrible customer service! First day attempted to pick up rental! It was cold no customers were allowed in office for any reason, they had all of us standing outside, when I walked up and didn't hear employee talking to me, she then said Loudly, "if you take out your headphones you'd hear me, I'm bilaterally deaf (hearing aid) first rude comment! I waited pissed! It's time to rent car, you need a utility bill that match's your address on debit card! Can you scan my drivers license like the other enterprise did, to see if I need anything! We were unable to rent a car because of a minor difference in the address of a drivers license and utility bill. One said apt GE and the other said apt BE. G for Garden and B for Basement are interchangeable words and mean the same thing, just like apt number and unit number. I can not control which word the utility company uses to describe our apartment. This place just didn't want to rent us the car because we had a discounted price for the rental. The confirmation email that we recieved did not tell us to bring a utility bill so we also wasted time going back home and returning only to be rejected again. I do not recommend this rental place. read more

Place is pretty good but if you are there through an accident then it's a big deal who your insurance provider is and that depends what cars you can get and it can be a pain but as far as paperwork, being picked up and dropped off it was great service and no long waiting. read more

Set up pick up time for 1:00 pm Saturday. I arrived at 1:05. Employees are walking out of store. I said I have a 1:00 pickup rental. They said we're closed too bad. I had my reservation transferred over by corporate to another location nearby, that wasn't closed that included a $50 bump in price. I asked the corporate agent to confirm that the location had the truck I had requested. They confirmed it was available. In transit to next location I was called and told they didn't have a single vehicle to rent to me, let alone the truck I requested. I called corporate again and they tried to transfer my reservation to the airport but wanted to increase my cost by another $75. What a joke. Bait, switch, raise price(*2) Highly recommend not using enterprise. read more

This is a location that gets their business mostly from insurance companies and car shops around them. So they have no interest in providing a good customer service. They lied to me about having a certain size car just to bring me their and the. They said they dont. And then they also did something wrong on the billing. Before drop off, I called to make sure, I will get a ride back. They confirmed I will. After getting there they simply said I will have to wait 30 mins to get the ride. I was involved in a accident and my insurance told me i can get a rental through enterprise. This was the closest location to the body shop where my car was being worked on. At first everything is fine they pick me up and take me to the building. My initial though was this place looks run down and old. Go inside and it smelled atrocious. Now comes the why 1 star review, Erika Oswald the branch manager, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life. Lacks proper training and is ignorant at doing her job. Their where 2 extra charges on my credit card and when I asked her she said she doesn't know why and cannot look it up. Wants to then proceed to tell me "it could be tolls". Now how can it be tolls if I never traveled outside the city let alone the highway? When asked she brushes it off and wants to give me a phone number but would not give me print out of the summary of charges. This is coming from a branch manager. You want my opinion? This Enterprise location SUCKS. I had made a reservation online a week ago for the weekend. When the day came to go pick up the car, I got there early to try to get in and out of that placed. A woman by the named of Carla open the door from Enterprise because it was locked. She ask me what did I need. I told her that I was there to pick up a car/Reservation. She didn't even let me in to check me in. I was wearing a mask for social distance. She came out and was like we don't have your car here and closed the door on me. So Unprofessional. Had accident. Took car to collision repair shop. THey suggested Enterprise for its convenience. THey picked me up and I got a rental. Noticed a young woman in there very distressed. Her bill was very high and didn't have money to pay. Sales person pressuring her. Got a paperwork and left. Collision place kept extending my time there due to further damage as they got into the repairs. THey had to keep getting more money and ok's from my insurance company. The amount of continued requests for other damage was very questionable from my ins. They said they'd never run into this before. THREE WEEKS later my car was ready. Returned the rental to Enterprise. My bill was almost $1000!! I let the manager have it for hidden costs. He told me to be quiet and go home. I told him I was reporting him. Next morning I checked my bank account and they had refunded ALL money! CROOKED.... both car repair shop and this Enterprise should be reported to AG's office! Not sure at this moment the name of the collission, but whole episode smells fishy to me. read more

These guys are pretty good, they provided a rental while my Camry was being repaired. VERY strange driving a NEW CAR.. all those displays and buttons, my oh my! Not intuitive! So here's my comment / complaint / suggestion (ahem)... 1. when you rent a vehicle to someone (anyone), do not assume they know anything about it. at all. 2. provide -substantially- more orientation than "here's your key, there's the ignition, seeya later"... as in demonstrating where the controls are and how-to-access the most-used functions everyone NEEDS TO KNOW BEFORE THEY DRIVE OFF.... you know, all those pesky little details like * OK, it's running how do I turn on/off the headlights ("daylight" headlights ain't good fer NUTHIN'..) * hmm. need to set up the right and left mirrors...uhhhh * the lever for adjusting the steering wheel is...Where? * ...da seat needs to move a bit, and the backrest, too... * the radio.. hmm.. push THIS.. no, wait... maybe THAT... damn, no... And let us smoke in the car fer Godsakes!! Also: the one *I* drove seemed to have a shifting problem coming out of 1st gear, there was a quite noticeable JERK. Just thought you should know. I made a reservation to pick up a car on Thursday though my insurance I called to verify that had a reservation and they said yes they did but there was no cars available to call back about an hour but instead I went in about half an hour before closing and they still did not have a car available I asked whats the use of making a reservation if there will no cars available the lady at the counter responded all because you make a reservation does not guarantee that their will be a car available. I made another reservation for Saturday at 10:00 AM for an intermediate car, somebody from this facility call me yesterday to verify that I was picking up a car (since it was through the insurance) she wanted to know what time I was going to pick it up I told her that I would go in at 9:00 instead. I went in around 9 and the lady in the front told me that they didn't have any cars available but they had a small pick up truck I said no I don't want a small pick up truck she said I could swap it anytime when they had any cars available (they would call me) I asked her if any other enterprises in the area had cars available and she said that she didn't know and I storm out because that is poor customer service she couldn't pick up the phone and call other enterprises around the area. I came back in and asked her when will there be a car available and she said she didn't know, so I took the initiative to call the enterprise on Irving Park and Long to see if they had any cars available today and they said they did to go over there and get the car, something I think the representative should have done (she gave me the phone number) she didn't even offer me a ride to go to the other enterprise mine you I made the call in front of her and there was nobody in there at that time. I got my own ride to the enterprise on Irving Park and the customer service was awesome!!! I was able to rent a 2019 Nissan Rouge and I was in and out with the rental in less then 10 minutes. I use to rent from this facility all the time and the customer service was awesome but the way I was treated the last couple of days is not the way a customer should be treated. read more

This has been by far the worst experience ever! I rented. Car February 17th. I got to the place at 530 pm that day. Mind you it wasn't even enough cars for me. Do they had to go pick me up a car from another place they didn't get back with the car till 6:20. Guess what it's 20 minutes after closing time so Erika gave me the key showed me where I needed to keep the gas on half. This my first time renting so I didn't know to look around the car. By the way it's dark so I was ready to get hole because I waited so long. They next morning I noticed a dent on the Chevy spark I thought maybe it was already there. I returned it and let them know the dent was already there. They say oh we are going to look into it. Later that week I get a call saying I'm responsible like are you serious! The manager lies wnd says we check the cameras and no dent! I say what camera sir I would like to see it. He said it was a body shop. Which is a lie they got it from another enterprise. This location lent me car when my car was in for repair. They were supposed to drop off the car, but after a half hour wait, they came to pick me up and drive a few miles away where I sat for another half hour before receiving the rental. After renting it they told me to drop it off at the auto repair site where my car was being repaired. After four days Enterprise finally picked up the car and claimed that there was damage to the windshield and called me to tell me they were holding me accountable. When I dropped off the car, it was in the same condition that i received it. There was no damage when it was dropped off. It was not until I called their Damage Recovery Unit that I found out I was responsible for the care of the vehicle until it was picked up by an Enterprise employee and that they would bill my insurance. One month later they sent me a bill for damages that I did not cause and have yet to contact my insurance provider. My insurance provider said they never have witnessed anything like this from Enterprise. I called the Recovery Unit again and I was told that my claim went to billing and that I was told it was my responsibility even after the rep I spoke with said they were sorry and that it was not fair to me. (The first rep said the same thing). So, if you rent a car from Enterprsise, always bring it back to the place you dropped it off at because they may scam you like they did me, and according to them I have no way out. That morning, a driver picked me up at Grace And Peace Community Center, took me on a friendly ride to get my reservation, and came out with a 2016 Dodge Journey. I am a Gold Member of Enterprise, and my last experience with them was not all that pleasant. I have received better service during my previous rentals. This last time, the car I got from them was a small Focus, back seats were dirty as well as fingerprints all over the back windows. During the week, the car was giving me a few problems, not enough to return the car. When I would step on the gas the car was not accelerating, until I would get to about 20 miles per hour. I explained this when I returned the car, the only thing the employee said was, "oh this happens with all our Focus", Really? hmmm, not customer service answer. At the same time, there was another customer returning guess what? a Focus and was having the same issues, but hers kept turning off. No apology was given other than, it happens with all our focus. Ever feel like you've been robbed after renting a vehicle? Well, I have. Esp with me being under the age of 25 (underage fees). I am currently living on the east coast but Chicago is my hometown. Everytime I come home to visit family I have to deal with the stress of a rental company ripping me off because am am under the age of 25. When I came home for Christmas I totally received a blessing, I called this enterprise a few days before heading home to get an estimate on how much everything would cost. I though that they would have given me an exact estimate over the phone...... WRONG. The price was even lower than what was due when I handed over my credit card at the counter. TOTALLY SHOCKED. They explained every charge to me verbatim, they asked me what I wanted to pay for (such as insurance, roadside assitance) and they even hooked me up with there weekend special which I didn't know anything about. BONUS: Since the car I asked for was getting an oil change at that moment, they told me it would be a 15min wait.... 3mins later they told me I didn't have to wait and hooked me up with a free upgraded vehicle. AWESOME. I'm usually paying around $300-400 at any other rental company but I their enterprise car for 6 days and my price was lower than $160. I will definitely be back read more
